As a special concrete, which is a mixture of soil, cement and water, has strength like regular concrete for pavement, soil cement has been used in various field such as pavement and soft soil improvement. The objective of this study was to investigate the characteristic of unconfined compressive strength and time dependent behavior of soil cement that is made from decomposed granite soil or coluvial and inorganic solidification liquid. The results showed that the unconfined compressive strength appears to increase as the amount of cement and curing time increase In addition, the strength seems to decrease with increase of the potion of fine particles(No 200 sieve). The result of XRD indicated that there is Vermiculite, the product of reaction, in the soil cement. The dynamic properties of material, such as shear complex compliance, shear complex modulus, and phase angle could be calculated from the hysteresis loop obtained from the Haversine Creep Tests. Finally, creep behavior was able to be predicted from these dynamic properties.
In order to develop COG (Chip On Glass) technology for LCD module interconnecting the driver IC to Al pad electrode on the glass substrate, Anisotropic Conductive Adhesive(ACA) process, the most promising one among COG technologies, was investigated. ACA process was carried out by two steps, dispensing of ACA resin in the bonding area and curing by W radiation. Load on the chip was ranged from 2.0 to 15kg and the chip was heated at about 12$0^{\circ}C$. In resin, the density of conductive particles coated with Au or Ni at the surface were 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 particles/$\textrm{mm}^2$, and the diameter of particles were 5, 7 and 12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. As a result of the experiments, ACA process using ACA particle of diameter and density of 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 4000 particles/$\textrm{mm}^2$ respectively shows optimum characteristic with the stabilzed bonding properties and contact resistance.
Novel polythiol materials of urethane lens series for plastic optical lens were synthesized from polyol materials via thioisouronium of thiourea with c-HCl in refluxing aqueous solution, in which polythiol material was carried out from hydrolysis of thioisouronium by ammonia water. Their structure properties were identified by EA, EI-MS, FT-IR, $^1H\;and\;^{13}C$ NMR spectroscopies and TGA. Their ophthalmic lenses as polythiourethane material were prepared by thermal curing to an injected glass mold using the evenly solutions of diisocyanates series (TDI, XDI, HDI or IPDI) with polythiols. Polythiourethane shows that the strong stretching mode for SH group of polythiol disappeared in FT-IR spectra after thermosetting polymerization. Thermal deformation starting temperature of ophthalmic lenses was determined by TMA. Ophthalmic lenses made from characteristic polythiol and diisocyanate series have transparency, colorless and good impact strength, in which thermal resistance and impact strength of ophthalmic lenses were influenced by diisocyanate series. Physical properties of ophthalmic lens have contrast thermal resistance with impact strength. The property of thermal resistance and impact strength for respective ophthalmic lenses was examined by TMA and drop ball test.

The effect of synthesis conditions such as various organic material and composition of organic-inorganic material in ozone resistance and surface characteristic of ultraviolet cured organic-inorganic hybrid coating film has been investigated. Organic-inorganic hybrid coating solution was prepared using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), silane coupling agent methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS), 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate, and various organic materials with acrylate group, bar-coated on substrates using applicator and densified by UV-curing. It was found that ozone resistance and surface hardness of the coating film was increased with contents of TEOS. It was also found that ozone resistance of coating film was increased with contents of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. On the other hand, surface hardness was decreased with increase of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. In addition, Surface hardness of coating film was increased with the addition of aliphatic urethane acrylate. It was also found that the transmittance of coating films was not influenced by content of TEOS and 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. In addition, the coating film exhibited high transmittance of above 90%.

A total of 6 stepwise constructions were made for building the floating mass concrete foundation. The optimal curing strategies and specialized construction guidelines were adoptively extracted from the 1.5m cube mock-up test prior to the main concrete work. Two different thermal crack index(TCI) calculations from current construction manual exhibit relatively low values as comparing the measured temperature data. This implies that the hydration-induced cracking could be developed in parts of concrete mass. However, the controversial phenomenons in reality were observed. No significant surface cracks are detected at the successive construction stages. Thereby, this paper raises the question regarding on the existence of characteristic length with varying size and shape of a target specimen which are missing in the current construction manual. The isothermal core area and high thermal gradient area in the edge volume should be identified and be introduced to TCI calculation for the purpose of an accuracy.

In this study, the effect of two types of aggregates (fly ash aggregate and shale aggregate) on the density, strength, and durability of preplaced lightweight aggregate concrete (PLWAC) was studied. The results showed that the 7 - 28 days strength of concrete prepared with fly ash aggregates (high water absorption rate) significantly increased, which could attribute to the long-term water release of fly ash aggregates by the refined pore structure. In contrast, the strength increase of concrete prepared with shale aggregates (low water absorption rate) is not apparent. Although PLWAC prepared with fly ash aggregates has a lower density and higher strength (56.8 MPa @ 1600 kg/m3), the chloride diffusion coefficient is relatively high, which could attribute to the diffusion paths established by connected porous aggregates and the negative over-curing effect. Compared to the control group, the partial replacement of fly ash aggregates (30%) with asphalt emulsion (20% solid content) coated aggregates can reduce the chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete by 53.6% while increasing the peak load obtained in a three-point bending test by 107.3%, fracture energy by 30.3% and characteristic length by 103.5%. The improvement in concrete performance could be attributed to the reduction in the water absorption rate of aggregates and increased energy absorption by polymer during crack propagation.

Deterioration in durability of structures due to the steel corrosion is difficult to determine whether or not corrosion is initiated and how much propagated, and moreover, repair and maintenance are not easy to deal with. Therefore, preventive treatments can be the best option to avoid the deterioration. Various methods for preventing corrosion of steel, such as electrochemical treatments, anti-corrosion agents and steel surface coatings, are being developed, but economic and environmental aspects make it difficult to apply them to in-situ field. Thus, the purpose of this study was to improve corrosion resistance by using CA-based clinker that are relatively simple and expected to be economically profitable Existing CA-based clinkers had problems such as flash setting and low strength development during the initial hydration process, but in order to solve this problem, CA clinker with low initial reactivity were used as binder in this study. The cement paste used in the experiments was replaced with CA2 clinker for 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% in OPC. And the mixture used in the chloride binding test for the extraction of water-soluble chloride was intermixed with Cl- 0.5%, 1%, 2%, and 3% by weight of binder content. To evaluate characteristic of hydration heat evolution, calorimetry analysis was performed and simultaneously chloride binding capacity and acid neutralization capacity were carried out. The identification of hydration products with curing ages was verified by X-ray diffraction analysis. The free chloride extraction test showed that the chlorine ion holding ability improved in order OC 10 > OC 30 > OC 20 > OC 0 and the pH drop resistance test showed that the resistance capability in pH 12 was OC 0 > OA 10 > OA 20 > OA 30. The XRD analyses showed that AFm phase, which can affect the ability to hold chlorine ions, tended to increase when CA2 was mixed, and that in pH12 the content of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), which indicates pH-low resistance, decreased as CA2 was mixed
MgO concrete containing lightly burnt MgO powder at $850{\sim}1,000^{\circ}C$ may have a long-term expansibility characteristic. Such expansibility of MgO concrete can compensate the shrinkage at later ages since the hydration of the MgO is very slow. However, the addition of MgO delays the initial hydration of cement and increases the setting time of cement. Also, the porosity and pore-size distribution of the MgO concrete are different from OPC concrete. Therefore, in order to use MgO in practice, both mechanical and durability properties of MgO concrete should be carefully examined. In this study, durability tests on carbonation, freezing-thawing, and diffusion of chloride were carried out after 56 days of underwater curing at $20^{\circ}C$ to compare durability characteristics of 5% MgO-mixed concrete with those of OPC concrete. The results showed that MgO concrete shows a greater durability than the concrete with no MgO, because the micro structure in the MgO concrete is much denser due to its expansibility characteristic.

In this paper, it was demonstrated that organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) were fabricated with the organic passivation layer by vapor deposition polymerization (VDP) processing. In order to form polymeric film as a passivation layer, VDP process was also introduced instead of spin-coating process, where polymeric film was co-deposited by high-vacuum thermal evaporation from 6FDA and ODA followed by curing. In order to investigate by compared with different passivation layer, the other OTFTs is fabricated to passivation by Polyvinylalcohol using spincoating. We can see that two different ways of passivation layer affect electric characteristic of OTFTs. The initial electric characteristic of OTFTs before passivation such as field effect mobility, threshold voltage, and on-off current ratio are $0.24cm^2/Vs$, -3V, and $10^6$, respectively. Then after polyimide passivation layer, field effect mobility change from $0.24cm^2/Vs$ to $0.26cm^2/Vs$, threshold voltage from -3V to 1V and on-off current ratio from $10^6$ to $10^6$, respectively. In the case of polyvinylalcohol passivation, the initial electric characteristic of OTFTs before passivation such as field effect mobility, threshold voltage, and on-off current ratio are $0.13cm^2/Vs$, 0V, and $10^6$, respectively. Then after polyvinylalcohol passivation layer, field effect mobility changes from $0.13cm^2/Vs$ to $0.13cm^2/Vs$, threshold voltage from 0V to 2V, and on-off current ratio from $10^6$ to $10^5$, respectively.
Since new continental was discovered, potatoes and sweet potatoes originated from America have been known worldwide. Through literary consideration about potatoes and sweet potatoes, several conclusons were obtained as enumerated below. 1. Based on work done by taxonomist in Orient, both of sweet potatoes and potatoes which were classified to the families of Convovulaceae and Solansceae repectively were included in Seo-rue(薯類). In contrast, both plants' identities were differed systematically. 2. Because potatoes fulfilled with like-cold keep warm, potatoes help So-um-in(少陰人) achieve Yang-nan-ji-gi(陽煖之氣). Meanwhile, the characteristic of sweet potatoes typically in wild living style assists Tae-um-in(太陰人) to own Ho-san-ji-gi(呼散之氣). That sweet potatoes affect on bodies as much as Mar(山藥=마) does makes this pant be defined as good food. 3. The inside contents of Nam-bang-bon-cho-sang(南方本草狀) cited from sweet potatoes chapter in the book of Bon-cho-gang-mok(本草綱目) indicated that the word of sweet potatoes was not found, but called as a kind of Mar(山藥=마) which lived wildly in a mountain Unfortunately, due to that medical scientist cited contents of Nam-bang-bon-cho-sang(南方本草狀) without pursuing carefully, sweet potatoes have been misunderstood. 4. According to the book of Sasang Constitutional medicine, sweet potatoes are good for Tae-um-in(太陰人) who has constipation, and potatoes are good for So-um-in(少陰人) who suffers form stomach illnesses like ulcer and hotburn. Therefore two plants have been used for curing those illness. ln addition, the taking oriental medicine with those plants are recommenced for dietary treatment according to the Constitution.
