여객선 적용 Rule & Regulation (Rule & Regulation for Passenger Ship)

  • A passenger ship is consist of five(5) constituents; passenger, sea, crew, port and ship itself and the rule & regulation which is applicable to passenger ship are differently required as their objects of constituents. the basic concept of rule & regulation can be defined all activities to keep safety of ship and her constituents. Especially, the rule & regulation for passenger ship design and construction shall be considered not only safety of ship itself but also safety of lives, so its are required more severe than commercial vessel. Recently, the IMO have finished the rule making work on the 'passenger ship safety' since it has been discussed last 2000 and next MSC meeting will be adopted the results. In this paper, the application method of rule & regulation are treated and the new rule which were made by IMO are introduced. The rule & regulation for passenger ship is one of the most important things. therefore, it is required to careful consideration to apply on the rule application.

크루즈선의 횡동요 제어시스템에 미치는 포드 각속도의 영향 (The Effect of the Turning Rate of the Pod Propeller on the Roll Control System of the Cruise Ship)

  • Recently, the application and installation of the pod propeller to the cruise ship is dramatically increased. It is because pod propulsion system allows a lot of flexibility in design of the internal arrangement of a ship. To reflect this trend, many researches have conducted to use the pod propeller for the roll stabilization of a ship. In the paper, a roll stabilization controller is designed by using fins and pod propellers as the control actuators for cruise ships. Two kinds of control algorithms are adopted for the roll control system; LQR (Linear Quadratic Regulator) algorithm and frequency-weighted LQR algorithm. Through the numerical simulation, the effect of the turning rate of the pod propeller on the roll control system is analyzed. Analysis of the simulation results indicated that the turning rate of the pod propellers is one of the important parameters which give the significant effects on the roll stabilization.

  • In this study, we investigated the activity data and basic data of the surface of the water within the ship to be operated by lakes and rivers inland. In this study previously, there was no survey activity data of Ferry and Cruise ship in Korea. In order to ensure the basic data and development of measures to reduce efficiently by local governments, these studies should be performed. Therefore, in the present study was survey the activity data such as cruising time and engine load factor and the specifications of the vessels. As a result, by analyzing the cruising pattern according to the area and the purpose of the cruise, to calculate the emissions of greenhouse gases.

  • Southeast Asian region cruise market is expected to be stable or grow in the near future depending on the region's economy. Star Cruises company, which has entirely dominated the regional market since 1998, has attempted to expand beyond traditional cruise routes in Southeast Asian region and develop new markets in Thailand and Dubai. Such a situation urges Korean shipyards to study on Southeast Asian region based cruise ships. This study is to suggest directions for planning of interior spaces of Southeast Asian region based cruise ships. In order to accomplish this purpose the market situation is analyzed and the adequate ship's tonnage(70,000grt class) is decided. According to mission-based design process the sizes of standard staterooms are set up first and then the sizes of the important structural parts of ship are calculated. Through analyzing the 26 cruise ships of 70,000grt class the kinds, locations and sizes of public rooms are grasped. And we inspect 4 cruise ships of Star Cruises, which are now being operated in Southeast Asian region to understand design characteristics of interior spaces.

다목적 가변 모형을 통한 제주지역 크루즈항구의 모항여건 분석에 관한연구 -한·중·일 주요항만비교를 통한- (Analytical Study on Home Port Conditions of Cruise Port in Jeju Area through Multi-purpose Variable Model -Through comparative analysis of main ports in Korea·China·Japan-)

  • 본 연구에서는 제주도, 상하이, 요코하마 크루즈 항만을 비교하여 제주도가 가지는 강점과 약점을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 Cruise Network 분석 프로그램을 통하여 8개요인(공항, 선석, 비용, 거리, 시내접근성, 쇼핑시설, 소스마켓(배후시장), 관광)비교를 통하여 평가하였다. 세 개의 크루즈 항구를 비교하여 평가한 결과 제주도는 민군복합항을 완공하여 크루즈 2개선석(접안능력)을 확보하는 것만으로도 상하이 크루즈 항만보다 우위에 있을 수 있고, 신공항이 완성되면 요코하마 크루즈 항만보다 우위를 점할 수 있어 향후 동북아시아 최고의 크루즈 항만의 조건을 갖출 수 있을 것이라는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. Cruise Network 분석 프로그램을 통하여 얻은 결과는 행정 정책이 뒷받침이 되어야 한다는 과제를 안고 있다. 이 연구가 크루즈 항만의 특성 및 배후지 평가를 위항 8개의 요인만을 가지고 각각의 지역을 평가하여 결과를 도출한 점은 평가 대상지지역의 다양하고 복잡한 여건을 충분히 종합하지 못한 한계를 가진다. 그리고 향후에는 크루즈 항만에 대한 평가요인을 세분화 하여 평가할 필요성이 있다. 또한 향후 연구에서는 크루즈 산업의 경제적인 효과와 융 복합 산업으로서의 관련 산업에 대한 연관성을 연구해 볼 필요성이 있을 것이다.

크루즈선 객실의 공조 쾌적성 평가에 관한 연구 (The Study for Evaluation of Thermal Comfort in Passenger Cabin on Cruise Ship)

  • The present work focuses on the evaluation of thermal comfort in passenger cabin of a cruise ship. A computational fluid dynamics (CFD(Airpak)) is used to calculate air velocity and temperature distribution in the passenger cabin as well as PMV and PPD. The CFD is used to simulate two different cases, room unit system and wardrobe duct system. Both of cases are simulated in summer environment condition. The room unit system and wardrobe duct system are compared and evaluated by ISO 7730 thermal comfort categories. The performance of room unit system is shown to be more effective for this typical case of passenger cabin.

Design of an adaptive backstepping controller for auto-berthing a cruise ship under wind loads

  • The auto-berthing of a ship requires excellent control for safe accomplishment. Crabbing, which is the pure sway motion of a ship without surge velocity, can be used for this purpose. Crabbing is induced by a peculiar operation procedure known as the push-pull mode. When a ship is in the push-pull mode, an interacting force is induced by complex turbulent flow around the ship generated by the propellers and side thrusters. In this paper, three degrees of freedom equations of the motions of crabbing are derived. The equations are used to apply the adaptive backstepping control method to the auto-berthing controller of a cruise ship. The controller is capable of handling the system non-linearity and uncertainty of the berthing process. A control allocation algorithm for a ship equipped with two propellers and two side thrusters is also developed, the performance of which is validated by simulation of auto-berthing.

  • 크루즈 관광 산업은 모든 관광 산업 중 세계적으로 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 관광산업임에도 불구하고, 지금까지 합리적 크루즈 경영의사결정에 관한 학술적 연구가 매우 미진한 상황이다. 이 논문은 크루즈 경영에 관한 기초적인 전략적 의사결정이라고 할 수 있는 크루즈 운항일정계획을 다루고 있다. 이전에 개발된 한척의 크루즈선박에 관한 모형의 제한점을 극복하여, 여러 척의 크루즈선박으로 구성된 크루즈 선대를 일반적으로 다룰 수 있는 최적화 의사결정계획 모형을 개발하였다. 후보운항일정계획들 간의 복잡성을 체계화하기 위해 선박별 후보운항일정계획 네트워크를 제안하였으며, 후보운항일정계획 네트워크 전체를 통합하는 정수계획모형을 개발하였다. 공개된 크루즈 운항일정 자료들에 바탕을 둔 가상 사례를 활용하여 개발된 모형을 실험하였다.

  • Various propulsion systems, applicable for a G/T 47,000 class mid-size cruise ship, are discussed and a comparative study on stern forms and hull resistance characteristics is carried out, in relation to these propulsion systems. Based on shipyard production logs on similar cruise ships, a reference hull form of a single shaft propulsion system with center-skeg, is generated. Then two new stern hull forms are derived by using a hull transform technique: consisting of one stern form using a twin-skeg system and the other using the Azipod system. Using a CFD-based commercial flaw analysis program, WAVIS (WAve and VIScous flaw analysis system for hull form development), various hydrodynamic characteristics, including wave profiles and ship hull resistance, are compared for three hull forms.

  • 소련/러시아의 초음속 대함유도탄에 대하여 살펴보았다. 초음속 대함유도탄은 항공모함 전단에 대한 비대칭전력의 하나이다. 유도탄의 초음속 비행은 긴급표적의 타격에 매우 유용하며, 유도탄이 표적의 방공망을 돌파하여 표적을 타격할 수 있는 능력 개선에도 유용하다. 초음속 대함유도탄의 운용개념 개선으로 생존성도 향상되었다. 초음속 대함유도탄의 발전은 추진기관 기술의 발전에 힘입은바 크다. 초기의 초음속 유도탄들은 고체추진기관 또는 터보제트엔진을 사용하였다. 통합 로켓-램제트 엔진의 사용으로 유도탄 크기는 줄어들 수 있었으며, 소형화된 유도탄은 다양한 플랫폼에서의 운용을 가능하게 되었다. 최근에는 수출용 초음속 유도탄 개발도 활발하다.
