군 지연 특성을 개선한 5G 이동통신 중계기용 캐비티 필터의 설계 (The Design of Cavity Filter to enhance the Group Delay characteristics for 5G Mobile Communication Repeater)

  • 이동통신 중계기에 사용하는 SAW(Surface Acoustic Wave) 방식의 대역통과필터를 대체할 수 있는 5G 이동통신 중계기용 군 지연 특성이 개선된 크로스 커플링 등화기 구조를 결합한 캐비티 대역통과필터를 설계하고 이를 구현하였다. 3D EM 시뮬레이션 툴 (HFSS)을 이용하여 공진 주파수, 공진기 간 결합 계수와 공진기 사이 외부 품질 계수를 계산하였고, 이를 바탕으로 메탈 캐비티 구조로 주파수대역 3500MHz~3600MHz, 대역폭 97.85MHz로 대역 양쪽 가장자리 주파수(edge)단에서 20dB 이상의 감쇄 특성을 가지도록 12차 대역 통과 필터를 제작 하였다. 설계 제작한 대역통과필터는 5G 이동통신 표준에 요구하는 군 지연 시간 조건과 인-밴드, 아웃-밴드 주파수 응답을 만족하였다.

Compression strength of pultruded equal leg angle sections

  • Pultruded cross-sections are always thin-walled due to constraints in the manufacturing process. Thus, the buckling strength determines the overall strength of the member. The elastic buckling of pultruded angle sections subjected to direct compression is studied. The lateral-torsional buckling, very likely to appear in thin-walled cross-sections, is investigated. Plate theory is used to allow for cross-sectional distortion. Shear effects and bending-twisting coupling are accounted for in the analysis because of their significant role. A simplified approach for determining the maximum load of equal leg angle sections under compression is presented. The analytical results obtained in this study are compared to the manufacturer's design guidelines for compression members as well as with the design specifications for steel structural members. Experimental results are obtained for various length specimens of pultruded angle sections. The results presented in this paper correspond to actual pultruded equal leg angle sections being used in civil engineering structures.

  • Modern helicopter rotor blades with non-homogeneous cross section composed of anisotropic material rquire highly sophisticated structural analysis. Variation in cross section geometry makes this task of analysis more complicated. Since rotor blades generally are much longer than their lateral dimensions, one-dimensional models seem feasible, at least from a computational point of view. Therefore determination of the principal coordinate system is very important to remove the structural coupling for one-dimensional beam modelling. In this study, shear center, and principal direction. The method will be verified by comparing the results with confirmed experimental results.

  • The necessity of six axis force-torque sensors have been increased in the field of automatic assembly, polishing and deburing using robotic manipulator recently. This paper presents a simple and compact elastic structure design of the six axis force-torque sensor with a cross-shaped structure and the expected deflection value was induced by theoretical method to design a six axis force-torque sensor and then this theoretical method was verified by comparing with the results using the Finite Element Method(FEM).

콘테이너선의 수평-비틂연성진동 해석 (Analysis of Coupled Horizontal-Torsional Vibrations of Container Ships)

  • A container ship, due to wide hatch openings, has characteristics of poor torsional rigidity, strong coupling of horizontal-torsional modes and significant discontinuity in the longitudinal variation of hull sections. In the mathematical formulation of the problem the hull is modeled as a beam and the transfer matrix method is utilized. The cross decks between cargo hatch opening are separated from the main hull and regarded as equivalent springs restraining torsion of hull. The effect of shear deformation of ship-side plating on torsion is taken into account in addition to St. Venant's and bending torsional rigidities. Compatibility requirements at cross section discontinuity are approximately considered. Developing the practical calculation procedure and the computer programs for application to an actual ship, some parametric studies on modeling methods of the cross deck, the compatibility condition, added-mass center etc. are out for the purpose of comparison.

망간산화물에 의한 1-Naphthol의 산화-결합 반응에 따른 반응산물 연구 (Investigation on Reaction Products From Oxidative Coupling Reactions of 1-Naphthol By Manganese Oxide)

  • 본 연구에서는 망간산화물 존재 하에서의 1-naphthol(1-NP)의 산화-결합반응을 통한 변환반응과 반응산물을 조사하였다. 변환 반응에 의해 생성된 반응산물을 대상으로 한 용매 추출과 HPLC, GC/MS, LC/MS 및 UV-Vis. 흡광특성 분석 등을 통해 반응산물의 분자 구조특성을 규명하였다. 반응 상등액에서 검출된 반응산물은 모두 1-NP에 비하여 높은 극성을 보였다. 주요 반응산물로는 1,4-naphthoquinon(1,4-NPQ)와 dimer, trimer 등의 소 중합체(oligomers)를 포함하며 특히, 용매추출$(CH_2Cl_2)$ 후 수용액에 잔류하는 친수성 형태의 반응산물은 다양한 분자량의(m/z=$400\sim2000$) 중합체로서 토양 휴믹물질(풀빅산)과 유사한 형태의 UV-Vis 흡광특성을 보였다. 또한, 비 반응성 생성물인 1,4-NPQ는 1-NP 존재 하에서 망간산화물에 의한 교차-결합(cross-coupling)을 통해 중합체로 변환될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 실험조건(20.5 mg/L, 1-NP, 2.5 g/L $MnO_2$, pH 5)에서 산화-결합 반응에 의한 중합체 형성으로 제거되는 1-NP의 양(mg/L)은 초기농도 대비 약 83%에 해당하며, 이들 중 약 30% 정도는 침전층에서 중류수와 메탄올$(CH_3OH)$에 의해 추출되지 않는 안정화된 형태의 불용성 중합체 생성물로 존재하였다. 이상의 결과는 망간산화물에 의한 산화-결합반응이 naphthol 오염토양의 처리에 있어서 소 중합체와 중합체 침전물로의 변환을 통한 오염 저감 및 제거 효과를 나타냄을 제시한다.

Complex Quadruplet Zero Locations from the Perturbed Values of Cross-Coupled Lumped Element

  • In this paper, complex quadruplet zeros of microwave filter systems are investigated. For the cascaded systems the chain matrices are most conveniently used to derive the voltage transfer function of Laplace transform with cascaded two-port subsystems. The convenient relations of transfer function and chain matrix are used in order to find the transmission zeros. Starting from a ladder network, we introduced a crossed-coupled lumped element, in order to show the improved response of bandpass filter. By solving the transmission zero characteristic equation derived from the cascaded subsystems, we found the zeros of filter system with externally cross-coupled lumped elements. With the cross-coupled elements of capacitors, the numerator polynomial of system transfer function is used to locate the quadruplet zeros in complex plane. When the two pairs of double are on the zeros -axis, with the perturbed values of element, we learned that the transition band of lowpass filter is improved. By solving the characteristic equation of cascaded transfer function, we can obtain the zeros of the cross-coupled filter system, as a result of perturbed values on lumped element.

Measurement of Energy Dependent Neutron Capture Cross Section of 99Tc

  • The neutron capture cross section of $^{99}Tc$ has been measured relative to the $^{10}B$(n,g) standard cross section by the neutron time-of-flight(TOF) method in the energy range of 0.007 eV to 47keV using a 46-MeV electron linear accelerator(linac) at the Research Reactor Institute, Kyoto University(KURRI). In order to experimentally prove the result obtained, the supplementary cross section measurement has been made from 0.3 eV to 1 keV using the Kyoto University Lead slowing-down Spectrometer(KULS) coupling to the linac. The relative measurement by the TOF method has been normalized to the reference value(20.01 b) at 0.0253 eV and the KULS measurement to that by the TOF method. The existing experimental data and the evaluated capture cross sections in ENDF/B-VI, JENDL-3.2, and JEF-2.2 have been compared with the current measurements by the linac TOF and the KULS experiments. The energy dependency of the KULS data is close to that of the TOF data which are energy-broadened by the resolution function of the KULS.

Use of the cross-leg distally based sural artery flap for the reconstruction of complex lower extremity defects

  • Cross-leg flaps are a useful reconstructive option for complex lower limb defects when free flaps cannot be performed owing to vessel damage. We describe the use of the extended distally based sural artery flap in a cross-leg fashion for lower extremity coverage in three patients. To maximise the viability of these extended flaps, a delay was performed by raising them in a bipedicled fashion before gradual division of the tip over 5 to 7 days for cross-leg transfer. Rigid coupling of the lower limbs with external fixators was critical in preventing flap avulsion and to promote neovascular takeover. The pedicle was gradually divided over the ensuing 7 to 14 days before full flap inset and removal of the external fixators. In all three patients, the flaps survived with no complications and successful coverage of the critical defect was achieved. One patient developed a grade 2 pressure injury on his heel that resolved with conservative dressings. The donor sites and external fixator pin wounds healed well, with no functional morbidity. The cross-leg extended distally based sural artery flap is a reliable reconstructive option in challenging scenarios. Adequate flap delay, manoeuvres to reduce congestion, and postoperative rigid immobilization are key to a successful outcome.

강성재단 된 등방성 박스보의 동적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Structurally Tailored Isotropic Box Beams)

  • 보 구조물들은 보다 우수한 성능을 위하여 다양한 형태의 보강재 또는 단면 형상을 가지게 된다. 강성재단을 설계에 적용하기 위해서는 강성재단에 의해서 발생하는 연계 거동을 정확하게 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 문헌에서 보고된 복합재료 보의 특이한 연계거동(면외 굽힘-전단 연계)을 실험적으로 확인하기 위하여, 등가의 동적 연계거동을 나타내는 강성재단 된 등방성 박스보를 제작하였다. 제작된 시편의 주파수 및 모드 형상 등의 동적 특성을 3 차원 유한요소해석과 비교 검토하여, 문헌에 보고된 특이한 전단 연계 거동이 발생함을 확인하였다. 이러한 거동은 보강재의 적절한 배치를 통해 원하는 방향으로 강성재단 될 수 있고, 얻어진 연계 거동은 다양한 분야에 응용될 수 있다.
