4채널 뇌파 신호를 이용한 감정 분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on Emotion Classification using 4-Channel EEG Signals)

  • 본 연구에서는 뇌파를 AR모델로 모델링하여 선형예측계수를 특징 파라미터로 이용할 때와 뇌파의 주파수 대역별 상호상관계수를 이용할 때의 감정상태 분류 성능을 비교해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 분노, 슬픔, 기쁨, 안정의 4가지 감정상태에 따른 뇌파를 4개 채널로부터 수집하여 선형예측계수와 ${\theta}$, ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ 대역의 주파수 영역에서의 상호상관계수를 추출하여 이들을 특징 파라미터로 한 감정상태 분류 실험을 수행함으로써 두 방법의 감정상태 분류 성능을 비교하였고, 패턴 분류기로는 신경회로망을 이용하였다. 감정 분류 실험 결과 뇌파의 특징 파라미터로서 선형예측계수를 이용한 결과가 상호상관계수를 이용할 때보다 성능이 월등히 좋은 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • This study describes the emotion classification using two different feature extraction methods for four-channel EEG signals. One of the methods is linear prediction analysis based on AR model. Another method is cross-correlation coefficients on frequencies of ${\theta}$, ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ bands. Using the linear predictor coefficients and the cross-correlation coefficients of frequencies, the emotion classification test for four emotions, such as anger, sad, joy, and relaxation is performed with a neural network. Comparing the results of two methods, it seems that the linear predictor coefficients produce the better results than the cross-correlation coefficients of frequencies for-emotion classification.

Estimation of high-dimensional sparse cross correlation matrix

  • On the motivation by an integrative study of multi-omics data, we are interested in estimating the structure of the sparse cross correlation matrix of two high-dimensional random vectors. We rewrite the problem as a multiple testing problem and propose a new method to estimate the sparse structure of the cross correlation matrix. To do so, we test the correlation coefficients simultaneously and threshold the correlation coefficients by controlling FRD at a predetermined level α. Further, we apply the proposed method and an alternative adaptive thresholding procedure by Cai and Liu (2016) to the integrative analysis of the protein expression data (X) and the mRNA expression data (Y) in TCGA breast cancer cohort. By varying the FDR level α, we show that the new procedure is consistently more efficient in estimating the sparse structure of cross correlation matrix than the alternative one.

뇌파를 이용한 감정의 패턴 분류 기술 (Pattern Classification of Four Emotions using EEG)

  • 본 연구에서는 감성 평가 시스템 가장 적합한 파라미터를 찾기 위하여 3가지 뇌파 파라미터를 이용하여 감정 분류 실험을 하였다. 뇌파 파라미터는 선형예측기계수(linear predictor coefficients)와 FFT 스펙트럼 및 AR 스펙트럼의 밴드별 상호상관계수(cross-correlation coefficients)를 이용하였으며, 감정은 relaxation, joy, sadness, irritation으로 설정하였다. 뇌파 데이터는 대학의 연극동아리 학생 4명을 대상으로 수집하였으며, 전극 위치는 Fp1, Fp2, F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, P4, O1, O2를 사용하였다. 수집된 뇌파 데이터는 전처리를 거친 후 특징 파라미터를 추출하고 패턴 분류기로 사용된 신경회로망(neural network)에 입력하여 감정 분류를 하였다. 감정 분류실험 결과 선형예측기계수를 이용하는 것이 다른 2가지 보다 좋은 성능을 나타내었다.

Correlation between torsional vibration and translational vibration

  • This paper presents theoretical investigation on the cross correlation between torsional vibration ($u_{\theta}$) and translation vibration ($u_x$) of asymmetrical structure under white noise excitation. The formula reveals that the cross correlation coefficient (${\rho}$) is a function of uncoupled frequency ratio (${\Omega}={\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$), eccentricity, and damping ratio (${\xi}$). Simulations involving acceleration records from fifteen different earthquakes show correlation coefficients results similar to the theoretical correlation coefficients. The uncoupled frequency ratio is the dominating parameter to ${\rho}$; generally, ${\rho}$ is positive for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ > 1.0, negative for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ < 1.0, and close to zero for ${\omega}_{\theta}/{\omega}_x$ = 1.0. When the eccentricity or damping ratio increases, ${\rho}$ increases moderately for small ${\Omega}$ (< 1.0) only. The relation among $u_x$, $u_{\theta}$ and corner displacement are best presented by ${\rho}$; a simple way to hand-calculate the theoretical dynamic corner displacements from $u_x$, $u_{\theta}$ and ${\rho}$ is proposed as an alternative to dynamic analysis.

교외 및 주거 지역에서의 편파 다이버시티 전파전파 특성 연구 (A Study on the Propagation Characteristics of Polarization Diversity in rural and Residential Areas)

  • 본 논문에서는 편파 다이버시티에 대한 전파전파 특성 분석과 상용의 이동전화 기지국 시스템에 적용하기 위 한 가능성을 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 교외지역 및 주거지역을 대상으로 $\pm45^{\circ}$ 선형 편파특성을 가진 이중편파 안테나를 이용하였고, 다이버시티 이득(Diversity gain)과 상호상관계수(Cross correlation coefficients)의 관 점에서 기존의 공간 다이벼시티의 성능과 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과 공간 다아버시티가 편파 다이버시티보다 1~2 dB 정도의 다이버시티 이득은 높게 나타났으며, 휴대용 이동전화 환경에서는 편파다이버시티와 공간다이 버시티 각각에 대한 상호 상관 계수는 그 차이가 $\pm0.1$ 이내로 큰 차이가 없음올 CDF(Cummulative Distrib bution Function) 분석을 통하여 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The objective of experimental study is to apply simultaneous measurement by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) to high_speed flow characteristics within ginseng cleaner model. Three different kinds of flow rate(15.20 27ℓ/min) are selected as experimental condition. Optimized cross correlation identification to obtain velocity vectors is implemented by direct calculation of correlation coefficients. The instantaneous velocity distribution time0mean velocity distribution and velocity profile are represented quantitatively for the deeper understanding of the flow characteristics in a ginseng cleaner model.

Combination coefficient of ESWLs of a high-rise building with an elliptical cross-section

  • As the height and flexibility of high-rise buildings increase, the wind loads become more dominant and the combination coefficient of Equivalent Static Wind Loads (ESWLs) should be considered when they are used in the structural design. In the first phase of the study, a brief introduction to the theory on the combination coefficient for high-rise buildings was given and then the time history of wind-induced responses of a 208-meter high-rise building with an elliptical cross-section was presented based on the wind tunnel test results for pressure measurement. The correlation between wind-induced responses was analyzed and the combination coefficients of ESWLs of the high-rise buildings using Turkstra's rule, and Asami's method, were calculated and compared with related design codes, e.g., AIJ-RLB, ASCE 7-10, and China Load Code for structural design. The results of the study showed that the combination coefficients from Asami's method are conservative compared with the other three methods. The results of this paper would be helpful to the wind-resistant design of high-rise buildings with elliptical cross-section.

  • In this study, our primary goal is to classify the EMG(electromyographic) signals including the specific patterns related to hand motions in an arm. To do this, the EMG recognition method based on the LP coefficients and delay between multi-channels obtained by cross-correlation function is presented. The study consists of three functional parts, which are pans for obtaining the EMG signals from am muscle, analyzing LP coefficients and delay parameter obtained by cross-correlation function, and recognizing specific patterns. In the experiment, the result of the present method is compared with the results of the conventional methods. We expect that the results of this study is very effective in the mobile computer and wearable computer environment.

광화학스모그물질의 시계열특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Time-Series Characteristics of Photochemical Smog Materials)

  • For the efficient control of photochemical smog materials, the researches on the change patterns of photochemical smog precursors are indispensable. In this study, a time-series analysis was performed for the auto-monitoring data of Kwanghwamun and Jamsil stations in 1990, and the change patterns of photochemical smog materials were studied. Especially, auto-correlation coefficients were analyzed to investigate the cyclic characteristics of pollutants in question and cross-correlation coefficients to investigate the correlations between pollutants adjusted for time lag and between $O_3$ and meteorological factors. Results of researches are as follows: First, in the case of NO and $NO_2$ intimately related to human activities, 12-hour cycle was prevalent. But $O_3$ showed 24-hour cycle. Second, NO showed a relatively high correlation with $O_3$ and usually developed into $O_3$ 5 to 7 hours later. Third, temperature, insolation intensity, and wind speed showed a positive correlation with $O_3$ while relative humidity a negative correlation.
