신경회로망 2 자유도 PID 제어기를 이용한 갠트리 크레인제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Gantry Control using Neural Network Two Degree of PID Controller)

  • During the operation of crane system in the container yard, it is necessary to control the crane trolley position so that the swing of the hanging container is minimized. Recently an automatic control system with high speed and rapid transportation is required. Therefore, we designed a controller to control the crane system with disturbances and weight change. In this paper, we present the neural network two degree of freedom PID controller to control the swing motion and trolley position. Then we executed the computer simulation to verify the performance of the proposed controller and compared the performance of the neural network PID controller with our proposed controller in terms of the rope swing and the precision of position control. Computer simulation results show that the proposed controller has better performances than neural network PID with disturbances.

부유체 위에 고정된 크레인의 안정화 제어기 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Anti-sway Control for a Ship-mounted Contrainer Crane)

  • This paper deals with an anti-sway control for a ship-mounted container crane which is disturbed by the wave-induced motions of the ship. We derive a simple dynamics of the ship-mounted container crane with an active anti-sway control system and transform it into a dynamic function for a horizontal variable on the absolute coordinate. Then we propose an control method to reduce pendulation of the spreader and compare its performance with well-known feedback linearization control in computer simulation.

  • 크레인 시스템은 항만 터미널 등의 산업현장에서 무거운 물체를 이송하는데 사용되는 장비로서 그 정확성과 신속성을 동시에 만족시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 적응제어기의 일종인 모델매칭 기법을 이용하여 복잡한 3 자유도 비선형 크레인의 제어 시스템에 대한 연구를 제안한다. 피드백 선형화(feedback linearization)를 통해 비선형 크레인 모델을 선형화한 후 PD 제어기를 적용하여 선형 공칭 모텔을 구한다. 이 모델은 시스템 섭동을 갖는 실시간 시스템 모델과 함께, 리아푸노브(Lyapunov) 이론을 적용하여 실시간 섭동에 의해 발생되는 제어오차를 감소하기 위한 보조 제어규칙의 산출에 이용된다. 또한 리아푸노브 안정성이론을 적용하여 구성한 크레인 제어시스템의 안정성 해석을 실시한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하며 기존의 제어방식과 비교 분석하여 그 우수성을 입증한다.

해상 크레인에 의해 인양되는 중량물의 거동 감쇠를 위한 Tagline 제어 시스템 (Suppression of Load Pendulation Using Tagline Control System for Floating Crane)

  • This paper describes the control system to suppress the load pendulation using tagline for the floating crane. Dynamic equation of motion of the floating crane and the load is derived using Newton's 2nd law and free body model. The floating crane and the load are assumed that they move in center plane. Each rigid body has 3 DOF (surge, heave, pitch), because it moves in two directions and rotates. Then, this system, which is composed of two rigid bodies, has 6 DOF. The gravitational force, the hydrostatic force, the hydrodynamic force and the tension of the wire rope are considered as external forces, which affect to the floating crane. To suppress the pendulation of the load, the tagline, which connects between the load and the float crane, is applied to the system. The tagline is composed of the spring and the wire rope. Proportional and Derivative control is used as a linear control algorithm. The results of the numerical analysis of the 3,600 ton floating crane show that the tagline system is effective to suppress the load pendulation.

  • The most important job in the container terminal area is to handle the cargo effectively in the limited time. To achieve this object, many strategies have been introduced and applied to. If we consider the automated container terminal, it is necessary that the cargo handling equipments are equipped with more intelligent control systems. From the middle of the 1990's, an automated rail-mounted gantry crane(RMGC) and rubber-tired gantry crane(RTG) have been developed and widely used to handle containers in the yards. Recently, in these cranes, the many equipments like CCD cameras and sensors are mounted to cope with the automated terminal environment. In this paper, we try to support the development of more intelligent automated cranes which make the cargo handling be performed effectively in the yards. For this plant, the modelling, tracking control, anti-sway system design, skew motion suppressing and complicated motion control and suppressing problems must be considered. Especially, in this paper, the system modelling and tracking control approach are discussed. And, we design the tracking control system incorporating an observer based on the 2DOF servo system design approach to obtain the desired state informations. In the case of observer design, a weighted $H_{\infty}$ error bound approach for a state estimator is considered. Based on an algebraic Riccati equation(inequality) approach, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a full-order estimator which satisfies the weighted $H_{\infty}$ error bound is introduced. Where, the condition for existence of the estimator is denoted by a Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) which gives an optimized solution and observer gain. Based on this result, we apply it to the tracking control system design for the transfer crane.

  • This paper studied on the lateral motion and yaw motion of the gantry crane that is used for the automated container terminal. Though several problems are occurred in driving of the gantry crane, they are solved by the motion by the operators. But, if the gantry crane is unmanned, it is automatically controlled without any operator. There are two types, cone and flat type in driving wheel shape. In cone type, the lateral vibration and yaw motion of crane are issued. In flat type, the collision between wheel-flange and rail or the fitting between wheel-flanges and rail is issued. Especially, the collision between wheel-flange and rail is a very critical problem in driving of unmanned gantry crane. To bring a solution to the problems, the lateral and yaw dynamic equations of the driving mechanism of two driving wheels are derived. Then, we investigate the driving characteristics of gantry crane. In this study, the proposed controller, based on Model Based Controller, is used to control the lateral displacement and yaw angle of the gantry crane. And the availability of the proposed controller is showed through the comparison with the result of the proposed controller and PD controller. The simulation results of the driving mechanism, using the Runge-Kutta Method that is one of the numerical analysis methods, are presented in this paper.

  • An anti-swing controller for an overhead crane in the stop position is designed. The developed anti-swing controller improves on the poor damping characteristics of overhead crane by feeding back the crane acceleration as a function of swing angular speed. The experimental results show that this crane using the proposed controller yields small stop position error and rapid damping response characteristics.

  • The paper treated the oscillation control of cargo rope and the position control of cart for a tower crane system by adopting the optimal regulator method. Since the tower crane has nonlinearity and it is very unstable when the cargo is mobiling, an insensitive control system with respect to oscillation of cargo rope and disturbance such as wind is required. In this paper, model equation of the tower crane is induced by using Lagrange equation and it is linearized at equilibrium point. The real time control of tower crane syste is implemented by 16bits microcomputer with A/D and D/A convetters to illustrate the application of the adopted optimal desgn method.

  • An automated storage and retrieval machinery for high rack warehouse systems is developed in order to stack the various kinds of productions. However, according to increase in the rack height, the long lead time should be taken. In stacker crane systems, the variations of the lifting height and the load generate the vibration of lifting machine, and it makes a Position control to be difficult Therefore, the reduction of vibration will be important factor for saving the lead time and the damage of Productions. This paper deals with a position control of stacker crane in automated high rack warehouse system by using a gain-scheduled control algorithm via a LMI method, where the variations of elastic coefficient of the stacker crane's post are considered.
