The purpose of this study was to investigate studesnts' attitudes toward computers and science subject using CAI(Computer-Assisted Instruction) as an instructional strategy in the elementary school level of science and computer literacy course. The influence of CAI programs on learner's attitudes toward computers and science varied according to the variables of,(l)sex (2)experience by computer learning, (3)learner's attitudes toward computers and science. Eighty nine samples were divided into the two groups. One group(48 studesnts)which is in the experimental group took a science instruction using CAI programs and computer literacy course, another group which is in the control group took only a science instruction using CAI programs. Data were collected and compared the experimental group with the control group. The results indicate as follows:(l) studesnts took science instruction using the CAI programs appeared a positive attitudes toward science. (2) the science attitudes of science instruction using the CAI programs was more effective in the lower group than in the upper group. (3) computer literacy course produced the positive attitude toward computers regardless of the experience by computer learning. (4) students using CAI programs with computer literacy course were more effective than students using CAI program only. (5) science instruction using the CAI programs was not found a meaningful difference by sex.
This research has verified the efficacy of character education course in Liberal Art Curriculum in accordance with the objective of K Women's University of which is the 'mind sharing through mindfulness, SMART human resources development'. Most of the content of character education is organized aiming to promote values of "appreciation". The subjects are experimental group and control group, of which are 229. Research methods were t-test of between groups. The effects of the course have shown that the experimental group students were higher on the level of connectedness sub-scale in Gestalt Contact Boundary Scale than those of the control group students(t=2.323, p = .021). Although the 'character education' course increased connectedness, but it no positive effect on mindfulness skill and self-esteem. This results showed that character education course is effective to promote mind sharing and connectedness in part. It was discussed about a way of further refining course contents and the need to reflect educational philosophy of the K Women's University.

In order to study the effect of the 'General Science' course implemented under the 6th science curriculum, high school students' views about the relationship between science/technology and society and their perceptions of science classroom environment were investigated. Four classes (n = 211) were selected from those completed the 'Science I' course under the 5th science curriculum, and 4 another classes (n = 216) which took the 'General Science' course under the 6th science curriculum were selected. In order to compare students' views about the relationship between science /technology and society. 10 items were selected from the VOSTS (Views On Science-Technology-Society) while considering the 6th science curriculum and the 'General Science' textbooks, and administered at the end of the 'Science I' course and at the beginning and end of the 'General Science' course. In order to compare the perceptions of science classroom environment, the Perceptions of Science Classroom Environment Questionnaire, which was prepared from the Individualized Classroom Environment Questionnaire. the Science Laboratory Environment Inventory, and the Classroom Environment Scale. was also administered at the end of the 'Science I' course and the 'General Science' course. The results indicated that the mean VOSTS score of the 6th-curriculum group was lower than that of the 5th-curriculum group, although the difference was not statistically significant. The decrease in the VOSTS score of the 6th-curriculum group during the 'General Science' course was statistically significant. It was also found that unrealistic views such as 'technology is the application of science', and 'corporations should control science/technology' had been formed during the course. However, the 6th-curriculum group had more positive perceptions of science classroom environment. Educational implications are discussed.

The purpose of this study aims to identify the key factors that contribute to successful online learning experiences for college students in the pre-course, during course, and post-course phases. A survey was conducted college students, and a total of 95 questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. The main findings revealed that in the pre-course phase, task value, academic self-efficacy, and control beliefs were significant factors. During course, interaction emerged as a crucial factor. Notably, students' satisfaction in the post-course phase is significantly influenced by academic self-efficacy and interaction. Understanding these factors will help inform the design and operation of effective college-level online courses to improve student experience and satisfaction.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the misconception flowchart of programming control structure and to suggest it as a method for improving computational thinking. In this study, we divide programming control structure concept into sequential, iteration, selection, and function, analyze what concept and principle are difficult for each learner, and what kind of misconception flowchart is drawn in the Introduction of C Programming course for beginners' programming learning. As an example, we show that a lesson learned from the process of correcting the misconception flowchart to the correct flowchart in the course.
Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a simulation-based education course and to evaluate the results after the application for second year nursing students. Methods: This study was a non-equivalent control pre-post design. Based on the clinical situation scenarios about patients with COPD and MI, a total of two simulation-based learning modules was developed. Pretest and posttest was conducted to evaluate the difference in critical thinking disposition, problem solving, and clinical competence between two groups of 102 students for the experimental group, 2007 and 90 students for the control group, 2006. The experimental group conducted a clinical performance evaluation in the final test, on December 10, 2007. Results: In the experimental group, knowledge related to learning objectives was significantly increased and core intervention was performed almost exactly, but the same result was not observed in domains of analysis of laboratory test, and nursing education for patients. Self-evaluated clinical competence and problem solving level were significantly more improved in the experimental group than control group, but critical thinking disposition level wasn't. Conclusion: In conclusion, a simulation-based education course needs to utilize self-directed learning module like computer-based learning through web contents and MicroSim and video productions for improving nursing students' critical thinking.
44 Temporomandibular Disorders(TMDs) patients with non-trauma and non-iatrogenic origin pressented at Wonkwang University Dental Hospital. They were grouped into experimental subjects and 85 persons without TMSDs were classified into control groups. The objectives of this study was to investigate the effects of recent life changes on the symptom severity and treatment course of TMDs. For that purpose, the author used several scales and indices, namely, Social Readjustment Rating Scale(SRRS) devised by Holmes and Rahe, SRRS-Korean revision by Hong and Jeong, Helkimos Anamnestic index, Clinical Dysfunction index, and Visual Analogue Scale treatment index(VAS Ti) transformed from VAS by the author. Data resulted from the investigation were collected by scale or index and processed with SPSS. The obtained results were as follows : 1. Life change units(LCU) and values of indices of experimental group were higher than those of control group. 2. Life change units recorded with SRRS-Korean revision were higher than those with original SRRS in all cases and significant positive correlations existed, between he two Therefore, clinical use of original SRRS in Korea is reliable and valid. 3. In experimental group, LCU were positively correlated with Helkimos Clinical Dysfunction index and VAS treatment index, but in control group LCU were not correlated with any items. From this, increase of life changes in patient with TMDs is likely to aggravate TMJ dysfunction and more likely to complicate treatment course.
A lot of E-Learning system is supplying the existent item difficulty based learning information to learner. And learner is doing learning contents according to the fixed learning course. It is difficult for learner to get efficient learning effect. Because learner has to belong to fixed item difficulty and learning course even thought learner has different degree that understand studying in learning course. This research proposed the learner adaptive E-learning system that is able to control the item difficulty and learning course to analyze the understanding degree of learner in learning course. In this result, learner is able to improve learning effect to get rid of fixed learning course using bi-directed learning such as off-line learning.
