  • In this paper, we consider boundary value problem for a weakly coupled system of two singularly perturbed differential equations of convection diffusion type with discontinuous source term. In general, solution of this type of problems exhibits interior and boundary layers. A numerical method based on streamline diffusiom finite element and Shishkin meshes is presented. We derive an error estimate of order $O(N^{-2}\;{\ln}^2\;N$) in the maximum norm with respect to the perturbation parameters. Numerical experiments are also presented to support our theoritical results.

  • Optical Triangulation Probes (OTPs) are widely used for their simple structure. high resolution, and long operating range. However, errors originating from speckle, inclination of the object, source power fluctuation, ambient light, and noise of the detector limit their usability. In this paper, we propose new design criteria for an error-reduced OTP. The light source module for the system consists of an incoherent light source and a multimode optical fiber for eliminating speckle and shaping a Gaussian beam Intensity profile. A diffuse-reflective white copy paper, which is attached to the object, makes the light intensity distribution on the change-coupled device(CCD). Since the peak positions of the intensity distribution are not related to the various error sources, a sub-pixel resolution signal processing algorithm that can detect the peak position makes it possible to construct an error-reduced OTP system

  • It is well known that the conventional differential source-coupled pair uses gates as its input terminals. This input pair provids a high open-loop gain, a large CMRR, and a good PSRR. For these reasons, the input pair has been used widely as an input stages of the differential amplifiers, but a narrow linear input range of this structurelimits its application in the area of some analog circuit design. A novel CMOS source-coupled backgate pair is proposed in this paper. The bulk of MOSFET is exploited and input devices are biased to operate in ohmic region. With this topology, the backgate pair of the wide linear input range and variable transconductance can be obtained. This backgate input differential stage is realized with the size of W/L=50/25 MOSFETs. The results show the nonlinear error is less than $\gamma$1% over 10V full-scale range for the bias current of 200$\mu$A with 10V single power-supply.

  • This Paper deals with an applicatoin of Luenberger Observer to the Linear Stochastic Systems. The basic technique is the use of a matrix version of the Maximum Principle of Pontryagin coupled with the use of gradient matrices to derive the gain matix for minimum error covariance. The optimal observer which is derived turns out to be identical to the well-known Kalman-Bucy Filter.

  • 본 논문에서는 4개의 다이오드 감쇠기, 비대칭 커플드 라인 커플러, 대칭 커플드 라인 커플러 및 전력 합성기를 이용한 벡터 모듈레이터형 광대역 아날로그 위상변위기를 구현하였다. 가격, 회로의 크기 및 수동소자의 수에 그 장점이 있는 간단한 구조를 제안하였다. P-I-N 다이오드 감쇠기의 감쇠량에 따른 위상변화를 수식적으로 표현하여, 전체회로를 최적화하였다. 제작된 위상변위기는 1 GHz~3 GHz주파수 대역에서 360$^{\circ}$위상변화를 나타내며, $\pm$8.2$^{\circ}$의 최대 위상 오차 및 16$\pm$2.5 dB의 삽입 손실을 나타내었다.

Errors in Isotope Dilution Caused by Matrix-induced Mass Bias Effect in Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry

  • Matrix-induced mass bias and its effect on the accuracy of isotope ratio measurements have been examined for a quadrupole-based inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (Q ICP-MS). Matrix-induced mass bias effect was directly proportional to % mass difference, and its magnitude varied for element and nebulizer flow rate. For a given element and conditions in a day, the effect was consistent. The isotope ratio of Cd106/Cd114 under $200{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ U matrix deviated from the natural value significantly by 3.5%. When Cd 111 and Cd114 were used for the quantification of Cd with isotope dilution (ID) method, the average of differences between the calculated and measured concentrations was -0.034% for samples without matrix ($0.076{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ to $0.21{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ for the period of 6 months). However, the error was as large as 1.5% for samples with $200{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ U. The error in ID caused by matrix could be larger when larger mass difference isotopes are used.

  • We introduce a rotational decision-directed joint algorithm of blind equalization coupled with carrier recovery for 32-QAM demodulation with high symbol rate. The proposed carrier recovery, which we call a rotational decision-directed carrier recovery(RDDCR), removes the residual phase difference by rotating the decision boundary for the kth received symbol by the frequency detector output of the (k-1)th received symbol. Since the RDDCR includes the function of PLL loop filter by rotating the decision boundary, it gives a simpler demodulator structure. The rotational decision-directed blind equalization(RDDBE) with the rotated decision boundary based on the Stop-and-Go Algorithm(SGA) operated during tracking the frequency offset by the RDDCR and removes intersymbol interference due to multipaths and channel noise. Test results show that symbol error rate of $10^{-3}$ is obtained before the forward error correction when SNR equals 15dB with 150KHz of carrier frequency offset and two multipaths, which is the channel condition for 32-QAM receiver.

Determination of Li by Isotope Dilution Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry

  • Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry combined with the isotope dilution method is used for the determination of lithium. The isotope dilution method is based on the addition of a known amount of enriched isotope (spike) to a sample. The analyte concentration is obtained by measuring the altered isotope ratio. The spike solution is calibrated through so called reverse isotope dilution with a primary standard. The spike calibration is an important step to minimize error in the determined concentration. It has been found essential to add spike to a sample and the primary standard so that the two isotope ratios should be as dose as possible. Since lithium is neither corrosive nor toxic, lithium is used as a chemical tracer in the nuclear power plants to measure feedwater flow rate. 99.9% $^7Li$ was injected into a feedwater line of an experimental system and sample were taken downstream to be spiked with 95% $^6Li$ for the isotope dilution measurements. Effects of uncertainties in the spike enrichment and isotope ratio measurement error at various spike-to-sample ratios are presented together with the flow rate measurement results in comparison with a vortex flow meter.

  • We introduce tightly-coupled GNSS-LiDAR-Inertial state estimator, which is capable of SLAM (Simultaneously Localization and Mapping) and autonomous driving. Long term drift is one of the main sources of estimation error, and some LiDAR SLAM framework utilize loop closure to overcome this error. However, when loop closing event happens, one's current state could change abruptly and pose some safety issues on drivers. Directly utilizing GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) positioning information could help alleviating this problem, but accurate information is not always available and inaccurate vertical positioning issues still exist. We thus propose our method which tightly couples raw GNSS measurements into LiDAR-Inertial SLAM framework which can handle satellite positioning information regardless of its uncertainty. Also, with NLOS (Non-light-of-sight) satellite signal handling, we can estimate our states more smoothly and accurately. With several autonomous driving tests on AGV (Autonomous Ground Vehicle), we verified that our method can be applied to real-world problem.

  • GPS 와 INS 통합시스템은 저가 MEMS 기술의 결과에 따라 대중적으로 널리 사용되기에 이르렀다. 그러나 저가센서에 의한 현재의 성과는 관성센서의 큰 에러 때문에 여전히 낮은 실정이다. 이것은 제한된 도시환경 안에서의 비행범위 때문에 더욱 관련이 있다. 이러한 관성센서 에러를 줄이면서 동시에 위성의 활용성을 높이기 위하여 GPS 와 저가 INS 는 연성으로 결합되어 Kalman Filter 설계를 응용하여 상호 통합되어진다. 본 논문에서는 연성으로 결합된 Kalman Filter를 이용한 GPS/INS 센서 통합을 제공한다. 우리는 또한 경로의 기하학에 의해 또는 그 목적시간 위치 따라 수학적으로 설명하는 ZH45C 궤도장치에 의한 산출된 기준 Wander Azimuth Strapdown Mechanization의 시뮬레이터 결과를 비교하여 검증하다.
