  • The author co-citation analysis is generally based on the frequency of the first author because most citation databases include only the first author in the bibliographic information. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to provide a better knowledge structure by utilizing the multiple authorship of author co-citation analysis. To achieve the purpose of this study, four different data sets are prepared: (1) counting the first author, (2) counting all the author without limiting the total frequency, (3) counting all the author with limiting the total frequency, and (4) counting adjusted frequencies based on the order of author subscription. The findings of this study show that there are clear differences between the knowledge structure counting all the author and the one counting only the first author. In addition, depending on the different methods, there are subtle changes of cluster members for authors.

Methods: 41 adults were classified according to gender and A-type behavior, then each group was compared for the changes on V/S and HRV through Breath-Counting Meditation of 10 minutes. Results: 1) Systolic and diastolic blood pressure were both significantly decreased in females, and the respiration level decreased significantly in both the male and female groups. 2) Respiration level decreased significantly in both the A-type and Non-A-type groups. 3) LF decreased significantly in both the male and female groups. HF increased significantly in both the male and female groups. 4) TP, LF and LF/HF increased significantly and HF decreased significantly in the Non-A-type group. Conclusions: Breath-Counting Meditation has respiratory effects for all groups and HRV of male, female and Non-A-type groups.

  • It is a esperimental report to investigation for optimum window-width on radionuclides $^{131}I\;and\;^{198}Au$ The obtained results were as follow; 1. In case of $^{131}I$, 1) The lowest counts produced at the window-width of 10KeV and 20KeV. 2) The count rate, more increased, when the window-width more opened, but the counting efficiency is very good between 70KeV and 130KeV window-width (19.23% -35.71% about the peak energy). 3) The heighest counting rate per KeV of window appeared at 130KeV window-width. 4) BKG counts increased proportionally to the wider window as 5.473 + 0.016 cpm. 2. In case of $^{198}Au$ 1) The lowest counts appeared at 10KeV and 20KeV window. 2) Count rate more increased, when window-width more opened, but the counting efficiency is very good between 80KeV and 140KeV window (19.46% - 34.06% about the peak energy). 3) The highest counting rate per KeV of the window appeared at 140KeV window. 4) BKG counts increased proportionally to the wider window-width as 4.74 + 1.09 cpm.

  • In general, the load which acts on the structure is almost independent of time in many locations. In this case. It is difficult to estimate the life with the service load history, because the structure is on the multi- axial and multi-point loading states. In this study, the service load of the excavator which is widely used in industry field was calculated using measured cylinder pressures and displacements. The fatigue life was estimated using the multi-axial and multi-point load counting method. Service load history of 4 pin joint which act independently each other is yielded by mult-axial and multi-point load counting method. The stress spectrum is yielded by superposition of the results of FEM stress analysis applied unit load. Palm- gren-Miner's cumulative Damage is 0.000804 for Von Mises equivalent stress sequence by one side fillet weld S-N curve. This result agress with Bench test results. As a result of this study, the fatigue life esti- mation using the multi-axial and multi-axial and multi-point load counting method is useful.

  • Many studies have been performed to predict a reliable and accurate stress-range distribution and fatigue damage regarding the Gaussian wide-band stress response due to multi-peak waves and multiple dynamic loads. So far, most of the approximation models provide slightly inaccurate results in comparison with the rain-flow counting method as an exact solution. A step-by-step study was carried out to develop new approximate spectral moments that are close to the rain-flow counting moment, which can be used for the development of a fatigue damage model. Using the special parameters and bandwidth parameters, four kinds of parameter-based combinations were constructed and estimated using the R-squared values from regression analysis. Based on the results, four candidate empirical formulas were determined and compared with the rain-flow counting moment, probability density function, and root mean square (RMS) value for relative distance. The new approximate spectral moments were finally decided through comparison studies of eight response spectra. The new spectral moments presented in this study could play an important role in improving the accuracy of fatigue damage model development. The present study shows that the new approximate moment is a very important variable for the enhancement of Gaussian wide-band fatigue damage assessment.

  • The distributed trigger counting problem is to notify the user when the total number of triggers received from a distributed system consisting of n nodes reaches a predefined value w. The distributed trigger counting problem is used for monitoring and global snapshots in various distributed systems. In this paper, we propose a simple and efficient algorithm for the distributed trigger counting problem. The proposed algorithm operates based on a tree structure of degree $\sqrt{n}$ and height 2. The proposed algorithm operates in three different phases based on the remaining number of triggers. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a smaller message complexity than CoinRand, and MaxRcv also performed better when the number of nodes is not large.

  • In recent times, an absence of effective crowd management has led to numerous stampede incidents in crowded places. A crucial component for enhancing on-site crowd management effectiveness is the utilization of crowd counting technology. Current approaches to analyzing congested scenes have evolved beyond simple crowd counting, which outputs the number of people in the targeted image to a density map. This development aligns with the demands of real-life applications, as the same number of people can exhibit vastly different crowd distributions. Therefore, solely counting the number of crowds is no longer sufficient. CSRNet stands out as one representative method within this advanced category of approaches. In this paper, we propose a crowd counting network which is adaptive to the change in the density of people in the scene, addressing the performance degradation issue observed in the existing CSRNet(Congested Scene Recognition Network) when there are changes in density. To overcome the weakness of the CSRNet, we introduce a system that takes input from the image's information and adjusts the output of CSRNet based on the features extracted from the image. This aims to improve the algorithm's adaptability to changes in density, supplementing the shortcomings identified in the original CSRNet.

  • In this paper we are going to study the dynamics of counting on the set S of functions from a finite subset of $\mathbb{N}=\{1,2,{\cdots}\}$ into $\mathbb{N}$. We have shown that every point $f{\in}S$ is either an eventually fixed point or an eventually periodic point of period 2 or 3.

  • This paper presents an alternative inspection method for counting items of a lot(or kit) in production lines or distribution centers. In this inspection, lots are weighed instead of counting all items of the lots in order to reduce the effort required for the 100% manual counting inspection. Inspection errors of this inspection procedure are analyzed and the impact of the variability of item weights on inspection errors are investigated. Two approaches, the cost assessment approach and the bicriterion decision making approach, are presented for the implementation of this inspection procedure.

  • During major elections, three terrestrial broadcasting stations in Korea have covered the progresses of election results by announcing the simple sum of ballot counts of all ballot counting stations. The current approach, however, does not properly reflect the actual ballot count differences by ballot counting location, leading to cause unnecessary but possible confusions. In addition, the current coverage approach restricts the broadcasters from using regional poll data gained through exit polls by letting them to use the significant information on a one-off purpose to announce the initial prediction of the poll results and to fully disregard the exit poll results during the ballot counting process. Based on the understanding, this paper is designed to suggest a Bayesian approach to consolidate the exit poll results with the progressive ballot counting results and announce them as such. The suggested consolidation approach is expected to mitigate or avoid the possible confusions that may arise in connection with the different ballot counting paces by ballot counting station.
