In North Korea, there has been the considerable loss of human lives every year due to the deficiency of foods. Thus, in order to reduce such damages, a research project should be launched to provide various information for cooperation with North Korean government, and to develop proper agricultural information management system. Therefore, this research is mainly to develop North Korean Agricultural Information Management System (NKAIMS), which can collect, manage and analyze agricultural information and water resources utilization status of North Korea, and further support to make relevant decisions and establish the agricultural land-use plans. This research has three phases. The major outcome of the first phase is collecting the agricultural and water resources utilization data such as soils, rivers, streams, collective farms, etc., designing and building database, and developing integrated management system considering the users' requirements. The main work of the second phase is improving and reinforcing database such as adding the information of dams, land-over data, bridges, tunnels, satellite images, etc., inspecting and renewing such as importing detail attribute information of reservoirs, and improving system for more conveniently using. The third phase will be to supplement more useful functions such as statistic analysis, continually inspecting and improving database, and developing web-based system. The product of this research supports collecting and analyzing relevant data to facilitate easier agricultural activities and support effective decision making for food production in the preparation of unification. Moreover, through designing database considering sharing information and system expendability, it can support systematic data usability of agricultural information and save cost for data management.
Even though logistics service outsourcing becomes widespread in manufacturing and service industries, logistics service providers encounter fierce competition and lower profit. Decreased profit has negative impact on service providers' competitiveness, which in turn threats successful relationship with shippers. In this paper, we investigate the factors which influence the performance of service providers. Factors related to service contract are examined and we test an effect of concreteness and fairness of service contract. PLS (Partial Least Square) modeling method is applied and validated using data from logistics service providing companies in Korea. In the model, service contract clauses are classified into two categories including cost and risk sharing terms. PLS analysis shows that partnership and performance of service relationship is improved when contract clauses are specified in detail. This study will contribute in providing an operational direction in effectively establishing a positive relationship between the logistics service provider and the shipper.
The projects of citizen science which is originated from citizen data collecting action driven by governmental institutes and science associations have been implemented with different form of collaboration with scientists. The themes of citizen science has extended from the ecology to astronomy, distributed computing, and particle physics. Citizen science could contribute to the advancement of science through cost-effective science research based on citizen volunteer data collecting. In addition, citizen science enhance the public understanding of science by increasing knowledge of citizen participants. The community-led citizen science projects could raise public awareness of environmental problems and promote the participation in environmental problem-solving. Citizen science projects based on local tacit knowledge can be of benefit to the local environmental policy decision making and implementation of policy. These social values of citizen science make many countries develop promoting policies of citizen science. The korean government also has introduced some citizen science projects. However there are some obstacles, such as low participation of citizen and scientists in projects which the government has to overcome in order to promote citizen science. It is important that scientists could recognize values of citizen science through the successful government driven citizen science projects and the evaluation tool of scientific career could be modified in order to promote scientist's participation. The project management should be well planned to intensify citizen participation. The government should prepare open data policy which could support a data reliability of the community-led monitoring projects. It is also desirable that a citizen science network could be made with the purpose of sharing best practices of citizen science.
We propose a mobile point-of-sale system, which consists of only mobile information terminals and personal computers. The proposed system provides most of functionalities related with resource planning, adminstration and management, provided by medium-scale or large-scale POS systems, with additional functionalities, such as automatic information gathering and management through mobile interconnection, while eliminating the necessity of additional special-purpose devices, such as bar-code systems. The proposed system transmits order information through wireless and wired communication lines, thus allowing real-time sharing of order information among diverse information devices, such as mobile order receiving terminals, main server within stores, monitors and printers located in production lines. Also, the system is able to transfer such detail information produced within stores in real-time to the enterprise-level accounting, sales, logistics, personnel management system, which facilitate enterprise-wide management and administrative decision-making. No additional programs are required for mobile terminals. Order information received by such terminals are entered into databases through web server of main server and that information is again transferred to main server and production line printers. The proposed system can handle all the point-of-sale information and can provide almost of the POS functionalities by simply utilizing wireless internet, personal computers, and mobile terminals without installing specific-purpose peripheral devices. The proposed system can be widely applied to the small-scale stores and will contribute in reducing construction and maintenance cost required for point-of-sale management.

With the rising popularity of smart-phones, the supply of Internet protocol television is largely increased and it causes the wireless communication network load to be increased. To overcome such an overloading problem, 3GPP is now working on the standardization of MBMS since LTE Release 6 specification. MBMS has good performance in bandwidth efficiency by sharing the same bandwidth with the mulitple MBMS users having the same content. According to the proposed algorithm, in heterogeneous networks having a dispersed Single-cell MBMS where 3GPP network and Wi-Fi network are mixed, if the number of MBMS users, who are belonging to cells supporting a dispersed Single-cell MBMS, is more than a specified threshold, the MBMS priority policy is operated. Otherwise, the Wi-Fi priority policy is executed. As the simulation results show both the increase of total available bandwidth ratio and the decrease of network usage cost, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme allows the network efficiency to be maximized.

As the amount of information to be processed by computers has recently been increased there has been cluster computing systems developed by connecting workstations server using high speed networks for high availability. but cluster computing technology are limited for a lot of IT resources. So, grid computing is an expanded technology of distributed computing technology to use low-cost and high-performance computing power in various fields. Although the purpose of Grid computing focuses on large-scale resource sharing, innovative applications, and in some case, high-performance orientation, it has been used as conventional distributed computing environment like clustered computer until now because grid middleware does not have common sharable information system. In order to use grid computing environment efficiently which consists of various grid middleware, it is necessary to have application-independent information system which can share information description and services, and expand them easily. This paper proposed new database architecture and load balancing for high availability through Grid technology.
Purpose: Until now, the process was improved by the needs of experimenters personally. But recently, suggestion system in hospital has been activated in various ways. So the department of nuclear medicine laboratory is also aware of the need of operation improvement using suggestion system. It is intend to assist in the development by sharing excellent suggestion cases with other hospitals. Material & Method: A total of 124 suggestion cases from January 2007 to March 2010 were analyzed. Suggestion cases were divided into customer satisfaction, cost reduction, improved testing methods, equipment, environmental improvement, and computational system. Result: Suggestion cases of environmental improvement and computational system were accounted for 26.6% as 33 cases, respectively. Suggestion for customer satisfaction is 25.8% as 32 in a total of 124 cases. Conclusion: Activation of the awareness of operation improvement is induced by suggestion system. By securing system of operation improvement, employees' ideas can lead to the production and systematization. Furthermore, it enhances hospital competitiveness and promotes the development of the hospital.
Grid computing is an expanded technology of distributed computing technology to use low-cost and high-performance computing power in various fields. Although the purpose of Grid computing focuses on large-scale resource sharing, innovative applications, and in some case, high-performance orientation, it has been used as conventional distributed computing environment like clustered computer until now because Grid middleware does not have common sharable information system. In order to use Grid computing environment efficiently which consists of various Grid middlewares, it is necessary to have application-independent information system which can share information description and services, and expand them easily. Thus, in this paper, we propose a semantic information system framework based on web services and ontology for Grid computing environment, called WebSIS. It makes application and middleware developer easy to build sharable and extensible information system which is easy to share information description and can provide ontology based platform-independent information services. We present efficient ontology based information system architecture through WebSIS. Discovering appropriate resource for task execution on Grid needs more high-level information processing because Grid computing environment is more complex than other traditional distributed computing environments and has various considerations which are needed for Grid task execution. Thus, we design and implement resource information system and services by using WebSIS which enables high-level information processing by ontology reasoning and semantic-matching, for automation of task execution on Grid.

Recently, the web map services with standard interfaces have been developed to a high degree for the purpose of sharing of spatial data through the web. Among the various kinds of works related, the specification for the web map service released by Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is the most prominent, and is nearly adopted as international standard (ISO/DIS 19128) in developing the web map servers. The web map server of OGC, however, provides the insufficient capabilities for mobile applications. Unlike the wired applications, the mobile applications would require the map server to minimize of size of data transferred, because the size of data is very important factor in communication cost and the response time of map clients. And the mobile applications require different quality of map according to the screen size of mobile devices. The mobile application, also require some application specific queries. In this paper, We have Proposed the interfaces for mobile web map services (M-WMS) which fully comply with the standard interfaces proposed in OGC. And we have designed and implemented the web map server for mobile map services. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of the web map servers in mobile applications, such as LBS and telematics.
Recently, the construction of U-City or of U-City service (U-service) in many kinds of urban development projects becomes the general trend. However, as the construction of U-city comes into the spotlight like the trend of the times, various service constructions are being indiscreetly implemented since it's processed focusing on local specialized projects or local landmark project by a local autonomous entity or an institute in charge being off the original purpose of the improvement of living quality of residents and the efficiency of urban management, which causes a number of problems on the process, maintenance, operation and management of those projects. Therefore, this study is to derive the standard pattern of U-service construction through the analysis of patterns and numbers of U-service and problems during the process of construction in domestic U-City construction case district, and is aimed to suggest the reasonable direction of service construction based on this. 11 projects areas in which data related to U-service are available among U-City construction project areas were selected for the subjects of this study, and it's standardized with 228 detailed unit services that were suggested by U-Eco City R&D and with 11 service domains that are regulated in "the Act of ubiquitous city construction etc.", and it is limited to services that were suggested in U-City case area of which design was completed by July, 2010 based on this. The actual state of various U-service construction is analyzed through case studies as well as reviews on the legal and theoretical concept and the method of pattern classification of U-service, the plan for the standardization (pattern classification) of U-service and the plan for the construction body of service and to share the costs are suggested as the plan to construct reasonable U-service based on this for the method and the procedure of this study For the method to construct U-service, the plan to classify the pattern of U-service into the basic service and additional service is suggested, and whether it has the publicity, whether urban infrastructure is included, whether utilities are included, the body of realization, the recipients, the urgency, the importance and the spreading, etc. are suggested for the index to determine the pattern of service. The method to get the executor of a project to construct the basic service, the method to get the executor of a project to construct the most basic service among the group classification of service and to get a private entity and a local autonomous entity to perform additional service in the future, and the method to construct the whole service and to distribute the construction costs were suggested, and the first one that determines the body of construction after dividing U-service into the basic service and the additional service was evaluated to be the most reasonable one. And the plan to solve the problem that the excessive construction costs of U-service are shifted onto the executor of a project through benefit principle, balanced distribution principle and consultation and mediation between the interested parties was suggested for the criteria to share the costs.
