Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a Korean nursing work environment scale for critical care nurses (KNWES-CCN) and verify its validity and reliability. Methods: A total of 46 preliminary items were selected using content validity analysis of experts on 64 candidate items derived through literature reviews and in-depth interviews with critical care nurses. 535 critical care nurses from 21 hospitals responded to the preliminary questionnaire from February to March 2021. The collected data were analysed using construct, convergent and discriminant validities, and internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Results: The 23 items in 4 factors accounted for 55.6% of the total variance were identified through item analysis and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). EFA was performed with maximum likelihood method including direct oblimin method. In the confirmatory factor analysis, KNWES-CCN consisted of 21 items in 4 factors by deleting the items that were not meet the condition that the factor loading over .50 or the squared multiple correlation over .30. This model was considered to be suitable because it satisfied the fit index and acceptable criteria of the model [𝒳2=440.47 (p<.001), CMIN/DF=2.41, GFI=.86, SRMR=.06, RMSEA=.07, TLI=.90, CFI=.91]. The item total correlation values ranged form .32 to .73 and its internal consistency was Cronbach's α=.92. The reliability of the test-retest correlation coefficient was .72 and the intra-class correlation coefficient was .83. Conclusion: The KNWES-CCN showed good validity and reliability. Therefore, it is expected that the use of this scale would measure and improve nursing work environment for critical care nurses in Korea.

The purpose of this study was to translate QUEST 2.0 in Korean with valid translation process and to measure psychometric characteristics. Translation process was consist of six steps. Internal consistency was analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Test-Retest reliability was analyzed by Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient. Internal consistency of 'Assistive device' was .88, 'Services' .92. There was no statistically significant difference according to repetitive measure. The spearman correlation coefficient was .64 for "Assistive Device" and .66 for "Services". This result reflects K-QUEST 2.0's (Korean-Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction Assistive Technology 2.0) safety, consistency, and predictability in aspect of measure. In this study, the K-QUEST 2.0 was translated into Korean and the reliability of K-QUEST 2.0 was tested. Decisively, the K-QUEST 2.0 can be applied to evaluate user satisfaction of assistive technology.
This study has been carried out with the aims of developing a comprehensive inventory of peer relation problems, which is based on the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex scales (KIIP-C). It also aims to examine reliability and validity of the inventory, and provide a preliminary norms. For the current study, inventory items were culled from the following sources: the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex scales (KIIP-C), various current scales dealing with peer relations of children, and a survey of children's peer relation problems. The preliminary items for each scale were administered to 220 fourth through sixth graders. The resulting skewness of distribution, kurtosis, mean and standard deviation, item-total correlation, internal consistency, and meanings of the items were comprehensively considered in selecting the final 64 items. In order to check on reliability, internal consistency, convergence and discrimination reliability of the final items and scales, the data were collected from 1,046 fourth through sixth graders currently attending four elementary schools. The study results can be summarized as follows. Internal consistency of the inventory of peer relation problems showed the range between .70-.94 (median value of .75), split-half reliability between .67-.83 (median value of .75), and test-retest reliability between .69-.88 (median value of .81). Inter-correlation of 8 scale scores and factor analysis results of individual ipsative scores showed that the circumplex property of inventory of peer relation problems is appropriate. Regarding correlations between various existing indices and scales related to peer relation problems, both convergence reliability and discrimination reliability were found to be fair. When the scale scores for the inventory of peer relation problems compared according to the factors of gender and grade, the primary effects of gender and grade were statistically meaningful whereas effects of interaction between gender and grade were not. This study can be considered meaningful in that it constructed an inventory for a comprehensive evaluation of peer relation problems specific for children and provided preliminary norms.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess psychometric properties of the Korean version of the Stroke Impact Scale 3.0 (K-SIS 3.0) in patients with stroke. Methods: Patients with stroke longer than 3 months were invited to participate in the study at specialized rehabilitation centers in Busan. Information on patients was collected using Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), Modified Bathel Index (MBI), Beck Depression Index (BDI), WHODAS 2.0-12 item, and K-SIS. Floor and ceiling effects of each domain of K-SIS were examined. The internal consistency of each domain of the K-SIS was calculated using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Correlation between K-SIS and each scale was assessed using Spearman's correlation coefficient. Results: Ninety subjects participated in the study. The K-SIS was found to have excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's ${\alpha}=0.93$). Each domain of the consistency ranged from 0.86 to 0.94, except the emotion (${\alpha}=0.51$). Significant correlations were observed between MMSE and domains of memory and thinking, and communication (r=0.48 and 0.52 respectively). BDI was negatively related to domains of emotion, ADL, mobility, and participation (r=-0.43, -0.49, -0.52 and -0.33 respectively). Specific daily activity (MBI) and general functioning (WHODAS 2.0) were also found to be closely related to the domains of ADL, mobility, and participation (ranging from r=-0.41 to r=-0.59). No ceiling and floor effect was observed. Conclusion: Excellent reliability and validity of K-SIS were obtained in the study and it could be suggested that K-SIS may be used for patients with stroke for collection of information on functioning in the clinical context.
Background: Yellow flags are psychosocial factors shown to be indicative of long-term chronicity and disability. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish Yellow Flag Questionnaire (YFQ) in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMP). Methods: The cross-cultural adaptation was conducted with translation and back-translation of the original version. Reliability (internal consistency and test-retest) was examined for 231 patients with CMP. Construct validity was assessed by correlating the YFQ with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Questionnaire (OMPQ), and Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKS). Factorial validity was examined with both exploratory and confirmatory factorial analysis. Results: The YFQ showed excellent test/retest reliability with an Intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.82. The internal consistency was moderate (Cronbach's alpha of 0.797). As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, there were 7 domains compatible with the original version. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, the seven-factor structure of YFQ was confirmed. There was a statistically significant correlation between YFQ-total score and OMPQ (r = 0.57, P < 0.001), HADS-anxiety (r = 0.32, P < 0.001), HADS-depression (r = 0.44, P < 0.001), and TKS (r = 0.37, P < 0.001). Conclusions: This study's results provide considerable evidence that the Turkish version of the YFQ has appropriate psychometric properties, including test-retest reliability, internal consistency, construct validity and factorial validity. It can be used for evaluating psychosocial impact in patients with CMP.
This study examined the factors that can enhance the continuity of user experience in multi - device environment. First of all, regarding the structural difference and continuity of tasks, functional differences such as OS difference according to the characteristics of cross media, use of mouse and touch gesture were found to interfere with continuity. To increase continuity, metaphor and ambience To increase relevance and visibility. In the continuity part of visual memory and cognition, familiarity was given by the identity and similarity of visual perception elements, and it was found that familiarity factors are closely related to continuity. Finally, for the continuity of the user experience, we can see that the visibility factors as well as the meaning and layout consistency of the information are factors for the continuity of the user experience. Based on this, it was found that familiarity, consistency, and correlation were significant influences on continuity dimension of user experience, but visibility did not have a significant effect on continuity when regression analysis was conducted as factors of familiarity, consistency, correlation and visibility.
Objectives: This study was conducted to develop the Mobility to Participation Assessment Scale for Stroke (MPASS) and assess its content validity, internal consistency, inter-rater and intra-rater reliability, and convergent validity in people with stroke living in the community. Methods: The MPASS was developed using published data on mobility-related activity and participation timing in elderly individuals, and then reviewed by community physical therapists. Content validity was established by reaching a consensus of experienced physical therapists in a focus group. The MPASS was scored for 32 participants with stroke (mean age 61.75±4.92 years) by 3 individual testers. Reliability was examined using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), internal consistency using the Cronbach alpha coefficient (α), and convergent validity using the Pearson correlation coefficient (r) to compare the MPASS to the Modified Rivermead Mobility Index as a referent test of mobility. Results: The MPASS consists of 8 items, and its scoring system provides information on the ability of people with stroke to reach a movement level enabling them to live in society, including interactions with other people and safe living in the community. The interrater and intra-rater reliability were excellent (ICC, 0.948; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.893 to 0.982 and ICC, 0.967; 95% CI, 0.933 to 0.989, respectively). Internal consistency was good (α=0.877). The convergent validity was moderate (r=0.646; p<0.001). Conclusions: The newly developed MPASS showed acceptable construct validity and high reliability. The MPASS is suitable for use in people with stroke, especially those who have been discharged and live in the community with the ability to initiate sitting.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean Version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument (NSCI) geriatric hospital nurses in Korea. Methods: Bilingual nursing professionals performed translation and back-translation. Reliability and validity of the content and construction of the instrument were confirmed. Internal consistency reliability was determined. Construction and concurrent validity were verified using factor analysis and correlation coefficients. Results: The total 14 items for the Korean version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument (NSCI) were retained through item analysis. In explanatory factor analysis, four subcategories were proposed with their names of each factor: 'Leadership', 'Staff relation', 'Knowledge', and 'Care'. The four factors accounted for 78.81% of the variances. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ regarding internal consistency were .77~.91 for the NSCI subscales. Correlation among four subcategories ranged .62~.84. Conclusion: The findings show that the Korean version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument is reliable and valid for measuring professional Self-Concept of geriatric hospital nurses in Korea.

PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to find Percentile Speed($V_p$) for Appraisal of Road Section with Recurring Congestion. METHODS : Percentile Speed($V_p$) is determined by correlation analysis of CSI that proposed existing literature. and CSI(Consistency Service Index) is a index that subtract service fail frequency from 100 points, and service fail is defined as traffic situation is driving less than 80kph speed. In this study, We analyzed the highest correlation percentile speed associated with CSI. This speed is chosen as a delay decision speed. In order to verifying reliability, it performed a comparison with the previous method. RESULTS : As a result, 30 percentile speed($V_{30}$) was decided as index speed for judgement of recurring congestion section, and through comparison with existing methods, we demonstrated that 30 percentile speed can be useful for judgement of recurring congestion section. CONCLUSIONS : This method to Determine recurring congestion section using the percentile speed($V_{30}$) was proposed for the first time in this paper. This method can be applicated more quickly and easily than existing method for determining of recurring delay section.
The purposes of this study were to examine the reliability and validity of Korean translation of Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI-K) in school-aged children with cerebral palsy (CP). The PEDI-K, Functional Independence Measure for Children (WeeFIM) and Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMIFCS) were completed in 104 school-aged children with CP by therapists. The internal consistency of the PEDI-K was calculated by Cronbach's alpha (${\alpha}$) for assessing reliability. Concurrent validity was evaluated by correlation with the subsets of WeeFIM. Discriminant validity was assessed by comparing GMFCS levels with tests of the PEDI-K. The results showed that internal consistency was good (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ ranged from .97~.98). Concurrent validity was demonstrated. The correlation with WeeFIM was high in the Functional Skills (self-care, r=.74~.94; mobility, r=.59~.91; social function, r=.65~.93) and in the Caregiver Assistance (self-care, r=.75~.94; mobility, r=.63~.90; social function, r=.78~.96). Discriminant validity was demonstrated on significant decreases in domain scores with increasing GMFCS levels. Reliability and validity have been demonstrated on the PEDI-K. This study extends usage of PEDI-K in clinical activities and research.
