  • Service FMEA may yield several possible corrective actions for each failure mode with large RPN. Corrective actions for each service failure are usually interrelated with the customers and environmental elements of the service system. SWOT analysis can provide an effective way to analyze the inner and outer environmental impacts for each corrective action. In this paper, we suggest a way for selecting and ranking corrective strategy in service operation based on SWOT analysis. Every candidate of corrective action strategy is ranked and evaluated on the basis of the impact factors of the SWOT variables, correlations between possible corrective actions and SWOT variables, and RPNs of service failures. The most desirable set of corrective actions is selected considering the preference score of each corrective action, required resources and budgetary allowance. The proposed methodology is demonstrated with an illustrative example.

  • This research analyzed type of corrective action of findings of audit result and grasped item that must execute question investigation about operation actual conditions and corrective action to investigate actually situation in establishment. present item that must consider when adopt regard and organization that must consider when confirm description and follow up of an audit that certification body and jury publish as judging result do corrective action for improvement. Formation achieve continual improvement of IMS, first, when certification audit, findings are drawn faithfully and describing finding should be described as systematic problem. Second, must do so that can be removed grasping systematic root cause that do corrective action. Third, must confirm whether systematic corrective action assumed to prove continual improvement securing that when confirm succession about result of corrective action, root cause is removed and reappearance of resemblant problem is prevented.

  • FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System) is intended to provide management visibility and control for reliability and maintainability improvement of hardware and associated software by timely and disciplined utilization of failure and maintenance data to generate and implement effective corrective actions to prevent failure recurrence and to simplify or reduce the maintenance tasks. This process applies to acquisition for the design, development, fabrication, test, and operation or military systems, equipment, and associated computer programs. This paper shows the FRACAS development process and developed FRACAS system for a defense equipment.

  • In this study, Event Corrective Action Supporting System (ECAS) is developed for the accident evaluation in nuclear power plant. The ECAS system can be used in supporting regulator and/or operator under event situation in nuclear power plants. The ECAS system consists of 5 modules including failure location module, failure analysis module, failure integrity evaluation module, system vulnerability evaluation module, and reporting and operating experience feedback module. The ECAS system will be used as sub module of Knowledge-Based Event Evaluation Network (K-EvENT) which is developing for the against the accident in nuclear power plants.

  • In this paper we introduce the Failure Management System for AREX's Signalling System which is applied by RAMS management. The corrective action report is classified into 3 group, scheduled maintenance, non-scheduled maintenance and the reported failure maintenance. The scheduled maintenance is for the failure detected by periodic inspection and it is concerned as the Preventive Maintenance. The reported failure maintenance is for the failure reported by non-maintenance staff and non-scheduled maintenance includes all corrective action except the works of the previous 2 group. RAMS analysis is based on the FRACAS data connected with the corrective action reports. AREX computerize the all process by the Facility Management System of Integrated Information System.

  • Systems Engineering is the process that controls the technical system development effort with the goal of achieving an optimum balance of all system elements. FRACAS(Failure Reporting an d Corrective Action System) is one of RAMS(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) tasks which is conducted from a manufacturing phase. FRACAS is to determine the basic cause of failure resulting from design or manufacture, and to provide a closed-loop method of implementing corrective action. This paper presents the FRACAS established for assessment of the reliability, the analysis and management of the failure data for Korean High Speed Train and application cases.

  • This study examined the effects of game genre, news media with differing political ideologies, and game-related information sources on gamer issue participation by performing a hierarchical regression model, using an online survey on Korean gamers (N=1,362). As a result of the study, playing specific genres of games played a positive role in gamer issue participation. The group behavior or collective action for or against game regulation reported in the liberal/moderate media acted as a mobilization cue for readers and potentially encouraged gamers to take social action. But the conservative media, which used governmental organizations and interest groups as sources of information, had a negative impact on real-life participatory behavior. The biased journalism practice of the mass media on game-related social issues influenced gamers' social and political behavior through corrective action. This study is significant in empirically analyzing the relationship between political ideology, game genre, media use, and gamers' social participation. The current research suggests the improvement of game regulation policy and the need for theoretical and conceptual expansion of game research.

Development of a Leading Performance Indicator from Operational Experience and Resilience in a Nuclear Power Plant

  • The development of operational performance indicators is of utmost importance for nuclear power plants, since they measure, track, and trend plant operation. Leading indicators are ideal for reducing the likelihood of consequential events. This paper describes the operational data analysis of the information contained in the Corrective Action Program. The methodology considers human error and organizational factors because of their large contribution to consequential events. The results include a tool developed from the data to be used for the identification, prediction, and reduction of the likelihood of significant consequential events. This tool is based on the resilience curve that was built from the plant's operational data. The stress is described by the number of unresolved condition reports. The strain is represented by the number of preventive maintenance tasks and other periodic work activities (i.e., baseline activities), as well as, closing open corrective actions assigned to different departments to resolve the condition reports (i.e., corrective action workload). Beyond the identified resilience threshold, the stress exceeds the station's ability to operate successfully and there is an increased likelihood that a consequential event will occur. A performance indicator is proposed to reduce the likelihood of consequential events at nuclear power plants.

  • 시스템 엔지니어링은 시스템의 일생 주기동안 수행되며 고장정보체계(Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System)는 제작단계부터 수행되는 RAMS(Reliability, Availability,Manitani bility,safety)과업 중의 하나이다. 고장정보체계는 설계와 제작단계에서 생성된 고장원인을 제거하고 수정작업을 구현하기 위한 방법을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 한국형 고속열차를 대상으로 고장정보 분석 및 관리, 신뢰도 평가를 위해 구축한 고장정보체계와 그 활용사례를 제시한다.

  • To reduce the accident rate caused by the delay of corrective action, which is common in the construction site, in order to shorten the time from correcting the existing system to the corrective action, I used a time similarity check to inform the inspectors of the problem in real time, modeling the system so that corrective action can be performed immediately on site, and studied a system that can actively cope with safety accidents. The research result shows that there is more than 90% opening effect and more than 60% safety accident reduction rate. I will continue to study more effective system combining voice recognition and deep learning based on this system.
