The present study analyzed Korean learners' production of English /z/-/$d{\Box}$/ and /z/-/${\Box}$/ contrasts in terms of native speaker judgments and acoustic measurements. Korean learner's production was judged to be either correct or incorrect by native English speakers. Correct and incorrect productions were then compared with productions of native speakers' in terms of acoustic analyses. The results indicated that Korean speakers' correct production was more similar to that of native speakers by sharing more acoustic cues. Incorrect production by Korean speakers indicated patterns either different or opposite from that of native speakers, confirming native speaker judgments. The results also revealed acoustic cues on which native speakers rely in judging L2 speech, thereby implying that the more consistent along with more number of acoustic cues used by native speakers may facilitate the acquisition of segment contrasts by L2 learners.

Measurement of fluctuating pressure by tube system is carefully designed due to the organ-pipe resonance. It is necessary to correct the pressure before analysis. The three method for correction the distortion fluctuation pressure short tube length and the frequency response functions and insert a restrictor in the tube to increase the damping. The first method is useful when the tube length is short. In second method, the distorted signal through the tubing transformed into the frequency domain, dividing by transfer function and inverse fourier transforming back into the time domain gives the required pressure signal. In this paper three types of tubing which have different length of 100cm, 150cm, 200cm were experimented the distorted signal and correct the distortion signal

A technology that recognize the car license plate have accomplished a lot of developments for latest several years. Key technology for correct recognition is correct abstraction of plate area. Existent studies have used horizontal/vertical edge, some geometrical characteristics of license plate, and the color information. But, in case of extracting a plate using above characteristics, correct extraction of a license plate inclined by sight which see license plate is difficult. Therefore, this paper is propose new method that correctly extract license plate using the color information and linear regression method.

This study was a correlation study to analyze the effects of smartphone usage time on food choice perceptions and behavior in middle school students in Seoul areas. The subjects to be surveyed were middle school students attending junior high schools in Mapo-gu, Seoul. A total of 133, 102, and 102 students were in the first second, and third grades, respectively. The usage time of smartphones was the weekday and weekend usage time except for the call function. Food choice perception and its behavior as dietary habits were constructed referring to previous research and food balance wheels data for the correct dietary habits of the Ministry of Health & Welfare and Korean Nutrition Society. The food choice behavior was categorized into non-recommended food and recommended food. The results are summarized as follows. First, the longer the time spent on smartphones, the less favorable the perception of correct food choices. Second, the higher the dependence on smartphones, the less favorable the perception of correct food choices. Third, the correct perception of food choices has been shown to reduce food choices, known as non-recommended foods. In addition, proper perception of food choices has been shown to increase the choice of recommended foods. In conclusion, the usage time and reliance of smartphones of middle school students was found to affect the food choice behavior by lowering the perception of correct food choices. This research is expected to form the basis for the development of programs and educational materials that can be of assistance to adolescents who are experiencing difficulties.

Uterine myoma is a benign tumor of smooth muscle in the uterine wall. Recently, in Oriental medicine, concerns about uterine myoma patients have increased. We analyzed the medical records for 944 patients, including 257 uterine myoma patients, who visited Dongeui University Oriental Medical Center from May 2001 to June 2006. We investigated the DSOM (Diagnosis System of Oriental Medicine) symptom scores which effect uterine myoma patients using stepwise logistic regression model. Logistic regression analysis indicated as follows: In the control group composed of 558 outpatients, 18 items of DSOM were associated with myoma, 9 positively and 9 negatively, and the results showed that the correct rate was equal to 81.1%, sensitivity 72.8%, and specificity 84.9%. In 129 clinical trials data, 33 items of DSOM were associated with myoma, 18 positively and 15 negatively, and the results showed that the correct rate was equal to 85.8%, sensitivity 84.8%, and specificity 87.6%. In 687 outpatient and clinical trials data, 18 items of DSOM were associated with myoma, 10 positively and 8 negatively, and the results showed that the correct rate was equal to 82.8%, sensitivity 70.8%, and specificity 87.3%.

Objects : The daily dose of Pinelliae Tuber in ≪Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases≫ is half seung in volume, two and half ryang in weight, and fifteen in total number. But the daily dose should be a whole number. So I found out the background of this setting and correct solution. Methods : I searched Classics of Traditional Medicine, found out the background of the daily dose setting, solution. Results : The daily dose of Pinelliae tuber in ≪Hangdi's Internal Classic Miraculous Pivot≫, ≪Bohenggyuljangbuyongyakbeobyo≫ is half seung. ≪Treatise on Cold Dameage Diseases≫ followed the same daily dose of that because it referred to these books. In ≪Synopsis of Prescription of the Golden Chamber≫, the daily dose of that is half seung, one or two seung. The half seung of the Pinelliae Tuber is thirty three mL, but the diameter is 1~1.5 cm that accurate measurement by volume is difficult. The daily dose by weight is correct considering the unity of marking of the daily dose, accuracy of measurement, the fact that Pinelliae Tuber is currently distributed by cutting. So, two ryang is correct which is thirteen gram. Conclusions : Considering the traditionality, the convenience of measurement, the daily dose of Pinelliae Tuber in the ≪Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases≫ is half seung, but considering the unity, accuracy, current state of distribution, it is correct that the daily dose of it is two ryang. It corresponds to thirteen gram.
