해상에서의 선속 손실량 산정을 위한 약산식 개발 연구 (A Research on the Approximate Formulae for the Speed Loss at Sea)

  • An improved approximate formula is presented for Series 60 forms, modifying the approximate formula, developed by the Author in 1983. The weather formula is based on interpretations of detailed calculations of speed loss, due to wind(van Berlekom), motions(Maruo), and wave reflection resistance(Kwon). Comparison is made between the result of the approximate formula and the one of detailed calculation. The result of the formula is also compared with some published full-scale data for speed loss.

  • Sb-doped tin oxide films were deposited on Corning glass 1737 substrate by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD) technique using a gas mixture of SnCl4/SbCl5/O2/Ar. The deposition behaviors of tin oxide films by PECVD were compared with those by thermal CVD, and effects of deposition temperature, r.f. power and Sb doping on the electrical properties of tin oxide films were investigated. PECVD technique largely increased the deposition rate and smoothed the surface of tin oxide films compared with thermal CVD. Electrical resistivity decreased with doping of Sb due to the increase of carrier concentration. However, large doping of Sb diminished carrier concentration and mobility due to the decrease of crystallinity, which resulted in the increase of electrical resistivity. As the deposition temperature and r.f. power increased, Cl content in the film decreased.

합성수용액의 Preheating 시간을 변화시켜 수열합성법으로 성장시킨 산화아연 나노선 (ZnO Nanowires Grown by Hydrothermal Synthesis Using Synthesis Solution Prepared with Various Preheating Time)

  • ZnO nanowires were synthesized by hydrothermal technique. Prepared synthesis aqueous solutions were preserved by preheating in autoclave type synthesis equipment with various preheating time of 1 h difference. ITO-coated corning glass substrates deposited with AZO seed layers were then inserted in the preheated synthesis aqueous solutions and ZnO nanowires were grown for 180 min at $90^{\circ}C$. Density, length and aspect ratio of the grown ZnO nanowires were investigated. Composition, structural and optical properties of the grown ZnO nanowires were analyzed. Characteristics of the ZnO nanowires were comparatively studied in relation with $Zn^{2+}$ ion concentration measured directly after the preheating of synthesis aqueous solution.

Effects of Annealing Temperature on Properties of Al-Doped ZnO Thin Films prepared by Sol-Gel Dip-Coating

  • Aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) thin films have been prepared on the glass substrates (Corning 1737) by sol-gel dip-coating method employing zinc acetate and aluminum chloride hexahydrate for the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) applications. 1 at% Al was doped to the ZnO thin films. The effects of post-heating temperature on the crystallization, optical and electrical properties of the AZO films have been investigated. Experimental results showed that post-heating temperature affected the microstructure, electrical resistance, and optical transmittance of the AZO films. From the X-ray diffraction analysis, all films have hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. Optical transmittance spectra of the AZO films exhibited transmittance higher than about 80% within the visible wavelength region and the optical direct band gap ($E_g$) of these films was increased with increasing post-heating temperature. A minimum resistivity of $2.5{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$ was observed at $650^{\circ}C$.

  • PZT thin films(4000A) have prepared onto 1737 corning glass and ITO coated glass substrates with a RF magnetron sputtering system using Pb_{1.05}(Zr_{0.52},Ti_{0.48})O_3$ceramic target, Electrical properties of PZT thin film deposited after ITO coated glass were P${\gamma}$ was decreased by 25% after 109cycles, respectively. With the RTA treatment duration and temperature increased, the crystallization of PZT thin films were enhanced, however, the leakage current density became higher. The leakage current mechanism was found to be space charge conduction by the defects and oxygen vacancies existing in PZT and PZT/bottom electrode interfaces.

  • We have investigated the behavior of the ultrafast laser ablation of chromium films (200nm) on the silicon and pyrex-glass(corning 7740) substrate with respect to the laser fluence and the number of laser pulses. In addition, several experiments about ITO thin film were carried out with femto-second Ti:Sapphire laser (150fs). Finally, we introduce the ablation characteristic in accordance with materials of thin film and substrate.

광섬유 브래그 격자를 이용한 촉각 센서용 유연 단축 힘 센서의 개발 및 평가 (Development of Flexible Force Sensor Using Fiber Bragg Grating for Tactile Sensor and Its Evaluation)

  • This paper shows the development of flexible force sensor using the fiber Bragg grating. This force sensor consists of a Bragg grating fiber and flexible silicone rubber (DC184, Dow corning co. Ltd). This sensor does not have special structure to maximize the deflection or elongation, but have good sensitivity and very flexible characteristics. In addition, this sensor has the immunity to the electro magnetic field and can be multiplexed easily, which is inherited from the characteristics of fiber Bragg grating sensor. In the future, this sensor can be utilized the tactile sensor system minimizing the sensor size and developing the fabrication method.

RF파워 변화에 따라 스퍼터된 GZO 박막의 전기적, 광학적 특성

  • RF magnetron sputtering을 이용하여 RF파워 변화에 따라 GZO 박막을 제작하였다. 박막제작은 유리기판 위에 하였고, 전기적, 광학적 특성을 조사하였다. 박막의 증착시 초기 압력은 $2.0{\times}10^{-6}Torr$, 증착온도는 상온으로 고정하여 증착하였으며, 기판은 Corning 1737 유리 기판을 사용하였다. RF 파워 공정변수는 20W, 50W, 80W, 110W로 변화를 시켰다. 유리기판에 증착된 모든 GZO박막은 200 nm의 두께로 증착되었으며 모든 GZO 박막에서 85% 이상의 투과율을 나타내었다. RF파워가 낮을수록 투과율을 증가하였으며, 광학적 밴드갭 또한 증가하였다. 공정별로 제작된 모든 GZO박막에서 (002)면의 배향성이 관찰되었고, RF파워가 낮을수록 박막의 결정성은 향상되었다. Hall 측정 결과 RF파워가 20W일 때 전기비저항 $1.85{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$, 전하의 농도 $3.794{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$, 이동도 $8.89cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$로 전극으로서의 특성을 나타내었다. GZO 박막의 경우 RF 파워가 낮을수록 결정성이 높아지고, 전극의 특성을 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Si-to-Si electrostatic bonding was carried out by employing LSG interlayer instead of conventional Corning #7740 interlayer in order to improve bonding properties. The surface roughness and dielectric breakdown field of the LSG interlayers deposited on Si substrates were investigated. Also, the bonding interface, bonding strength and bonding mechanism were discussed for the electrostatically-bonded Si-Si wafer pairs having LSG interlayers.

Exchange Bias Coupling Depending on Uniaxial Deposition Field of Antiferromagnetic FeMn Layer

  • The relationship between ferromagnet anisotropic magnetization and the antiferromagnet atomic spin configuration was investigated for various angles of the uniaxial deposition magnetic field of the FeMn layer in the Corning glass/Ta(5nm)/NiFe(7nm)/FeMn(25nm)/Ta(5nm) multilayer that was prepared by the ion beam sputter deposition. The exchange bias field ($H_{ex}$) obtained from the measurement of the easy-axis MR loop decreased to 40 Oe at the deposition field angle of $45^{\circ}$, and to 0 Oe at the angle of $90^{\circ}$. When the difference between the uniaxial axis between the ferromagnet NiFe and the antiferromagnet FeMn was $90^{\circ}$, the strong antiferromagnetic dipole moment of FeMn caused the weak ferromagnetic dipole moment of NiFe to rotate in the interface.
