국방IT융합 추진방법론 및 사례 연구 (A Methodology of Defense IT Convergence and Case Study)

  • Information technology convergence has been recognized one of the key drivers in the industry perspective. Korea government established IT convergence policy in 2008 and has been implementing it to the core industry such as automotive, shipbuilding and defense industries. This research analyzes various IT convergence issues based on an operation of defense IT convergence center, one of the industry IT convergence centers. Defense IT convergence issues are as follows : the methods for introducing rapid changing IT to military area, rapid deployment procedures of verified commercial technologies and products, regulations for using of domestic software promotion and so on. We define the concept of defense IT convergence and propose the framework and processes for applying IT to our defense sector as one of industries. Also, we establish various business models in the military perspective using defense IT convergence framework. In this paper, we focus the development of defense IT convergence through the alignment of national IT convergence policy and propose various business models established through operating a defense IT convergence center.

  • 최근 들어 대학들은 학사구조의 다변화를 추구하고 있으며, 다전공 과정(연계전공, 융합전공, 자율전공, 자기설계전공 등) 도입으로 전공 및 학과 간 상호연계를 기반으로 융합인재양성에 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 연구는 충청권 4개 대학이 연합으로 추진한 '글로벌 창의융합전공'의 설계 운영과정의 단계별 주요요소를 도출하고, 주요특징을 바탕으로 운영모델과 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 융합전공 운영모델은 대학 간 특화영역 연계를 통한 교육체계(인재상, 교육목표, 역량요소, 교육과정)의 구성하고, 역량요소(창의역량, 융합역량, 문제해결역량, 글로벌역량)를 기반으로 교과 및 비교과프로그램의 연계를 설계하였다. 융합전공 운영모델은 과정 및 단계에 따라 주요활동을 체계화함으로써 운영되고 있으며, 프로젝트 기반의 성과중심 지원프로세스를 구축함으로써 국내외 대회 참가, 국제발명대회 참가, 글로벌 역량강화를 지원하여 창의융합 인재양성에 기여하고 있다.

고속열차 위치검지를 위한 트랜스폰더 시스템 운용 주파수 연구 (A Study on Radion Frequency of the Transponder System for High-speed and High-precision Train Location Detection)

  • This paper presents development of the transponder system which provides an accurate train position, especially for supporting 400km/h high speed train. Here, we analyzed an operating frequency band of the transponder system which can be interoperable with the Eurobalise system already installed in Korea railroad as to be used for the automatic train protection (ATP). By investigating the power frequency band and its data frequency band of the transponder system, we presents the adoptable frequency band for the developed transponder system. Additionally, through the real testbed using HEMU-430X, we evaluate its performance requirement and shows interoperable operation with the Eurobalise system.

Design and characterization of a Muon tomography system for spent nuclear fuel monitoring

  • In recent years, monitoring of spent nuclear fuel inside dry cask storage has become an important area of national security. Muon tomography is a useful method for monitoring spent nuclear fuel because it uses high energy muons that penetrate deep into the target material and provides a 3-D structure of the inner materials. We designed a muon tomography system consisting of four 2-D position sensitive detector and characterized and optimized the system parameters. Each detector, measuring 200 × 200 cm2, consists of a plastic scintillator, wavelength shifting (WLS) fibers and, SiPMs. The reconstructed image is obtained by extracting the intersection of the incoming and outgoing muon tracks using a Point-of-Closest-Approach (PoCA) algorithm. The Geant4 simulation was used to evaluate the performance of the muon tomography system and to optimize the design parameters including the pixel size of the muon detector, the field of view (FOV), and the distance between detectors. Based on the optimized design parameters, the spent fuel assemblies were modeled and the line profile was analyzed to conduct a feasibility study. Line profile analysis confirmed that muon tomography system can monitor nuclear spent fuel in dry storage container.

Development of Plantar Pressure Measurement System and Personal Classification Study based on Plantar Pressure Image

  • In this study, a Velostat pressure sensor was manufactured to develop a plantar pressure measurement system and a C#-based application was developed to monitor and collect plantar pressure data in real time. In order to evaluate the characteristics of the proposed plantar pressure measurement system, the accuracy of plantar pressure index and personal classification was verified by comparing with MatScan, a commercial plantar pressure measurement system. As a result, the output characteristics according to the weight of the Velostat pressure sensor were evaluated and a trend line with the reliability of r2 = 0.98 was detected. The Root Mean Square Error(RMSE) of the weighted area was 11.315 cm2, the RMSE of the x coordinate of Center of Pressure(CoPx) was 1.036 cm and the RMSE of the y coordinate of Center of Pressure(CoPy) was 0.936 cm. Finally, inaccuracy of personal classification, the proposed system was 99.47% and MatScan was 96.86%. Based on the advantage of being simple to implement and capable of manufacturing at low cost, it is considered that it can be applied to various fields of measuring vital signs such as sitting posture and breathing in addition to the plantar pressure measurement system.

수중건설로봇의 유압 제어 안정성 향상을 위한 이중화 설계 (Redundant Architectural Design of Hydraulic Control System for Reliability Improvement of Underwater Construction Robot)

  • In the development of an underwater construction robot, the reliability of the operating system is the most important issue because of its huge maintenance cost, especially in a deep sea application. In this paper, we propose a new redundant architectural design for the hydraulic control system of an underwater construction robot. The proposed architecture consists of dual independent modular redundancy management systems linked with a commercial profibus network. A cold standby redundancy management system consisting of a preprocessing switch circuit is applied to the signal network, and a hot standby redundancy management system is adapted to utilize two main controllers.

  • We prove convergence properties of the global solutions to the cooperative cross-diffusion system with the intra-specific cooperative pressures dominated by the inter-specific competition pressures and the inter-specific cooperative pressures dominated by intra-specific competition pressures. Under these conditions the $W^1_2-bound$ and the time global existence of the solution for the cooperative cross-diffusion system have been obtained in [10]. In the present paper the convergence of the global solution is established for the cooperative cross-diffusion system with large diffusion coefficients.

Design of Mobility System for Ground Model of Planetary Exploration Rover

  • In recent years, a number of missions have been planned and conducted worldwide on the planets such as Mars, which involves the unmanned robotic exploration with the use of rover. The rover is an important system for unmanned planetary exploration, performing the locomotion and sample collection and analysis at the exploration target of the planetary surface designated by the operator. This study investigates the development of mobility system for the rover ground model necessary to the planetary surface exploration for the benefit of future planetary exploration mission in Korea. First, the requirements for the rover mobility system are summarized and a new mechanism is proposed for a stable performance on rough terrain which consists of the passive suspension system with 8 wheeled double 4-bar linkage (DFBL), followed by the performance evaluation for the mechanism of the mobility system based on the shape design and simulation. The proposed mobility system DFBL was compared with the Rocker-Bogie suspension system of US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration and 8 wheeled mobility system CRAB8 developed in Switzerland, using the simulation to demonstrate the superiority with respect to the stability of locomotion. On the basis of the simulation results, a general system configuration was proposed and designed for the rover manufacture.

전이학습을 활용한 시설물 균열 탐지 모델 설계 (Design of Facility Crack Detection Model using Transfer Learning)

  • 현대사회의 시설물 중 다수가 콘크리트를 사용하여 건설되었고, 재료적 성질로 인해 균열, 박락, 백태 등의 손상이 발생하고 있고 시설물 관리가 요구되고 있다. 하지만, 현재 시설물 관리는 사람의 육안 점검을 정기적으로 수행하고 있으나, 높은 시설물이나 맨눈으로 확인할 수 없는 시설물의 경우 관리가 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 다양한 영상장비를 활용해 시설물의 이미지에서 균열을 분류하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 균열 분류 알고리즘은 산업 이상 감지 데이터 세트인 MVTec AD 데이터 세트를 사전 학습하고 L2 auto-encoder를 사용하여 균열을 분류한다. MVTec AD 데이터 세트를 사전학습시킴으로써 균열, 박락, 백태 등의 특징을 학습시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
