  • This study aims to investigate how tie strength in business networks affects successful knowledge sharing, as well as the impact of environmental uncertainty on the relationship between knowledge sharing and tie strength. We gathered data through a questionnaire-based survey of 310 employees affiliated with a high-technology industry in Korea. The results highlighted the positive influence of strong ties on tacit knowledge sharing and weak ties on explicit knowledge sharing. Additionally, in this study, we determine that strong ties are strengthened to share tacit knowledge with exchange parties when environmental uncertainty is high, whereas weak ties may remain unaffected by environmental uncertainty. This study contributes to the literature on tie strength and knowledge sharing by applying social capital theory to a high-technology industry. The findings suggest that firms must take advantage of strong and weak ties to facilitate knowledge sharing to enhance competency, create novel knowledge, and obtain a competitive advantage.

  • Information technology is a useful strategic weapon that can create competitive advantage and new business opportunity by applying it in the organization' value chain. IT convergence can be understood as an attempt of industrial level IT adoption to facilitate the innovation of the industry and the birth of a new industry. This study provides the comprehensive review of the Korean government' three IT assimilation programs, ubiquitous technology diffusion program of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, u-service program of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, and u-Defence cooperation program of the Department of Defense. The analysis is done through the interpretation of the existing literature and the logic model. The result proposes inter-agency cooperation and building of new technology road-map in the planning stage, flexible management in the execution phase, and failure tolerant evaluation system. The proposal for developing competencies and institutional foundations for IT convergence also presented.

  • This paper focuses on issues in the convergence of library and information science and communication studies. Common research topics in both fields include scholarly communication, knowledge gaps, invisible colleges, diffusion of innovations, human interaction with communication technologies, information-seeking behavior, information theory, and the information society. To consider these two disciplines in this broader context, this paper compares these two discipline's paradigms, suggests four models of convergence, and traces bibliometric studies performed. This study may be of use to those studying scholarly communication or bibliometrics, to faculty constructing curricula in either of the disciplines, to communication and information science scholars seeking new areas of research, and to collection development librarians in drawing the boundaries of these disciplines.

  • An operational orbit determination (OD) and prediction system for the geostationary Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) mission requires accurate satellite positioning knowledge to accomplish image navigation registration on the ground. Ranging and tracking data from a single ground station is used for COMS OD in normal operation. However, the orbital longitude of the COMS is so close to that of satellite tracking sites that geometric singularity affects observability. A method to solve the azimuth bias of a single station in singularity is to periodically apply an estimated azimuth bias using the ranging and tracking data of two stations. Velocity increments of a wheel off-loading maneuver which is performed twice a day are fixed by planned values without considering maneuver efficiency during OD. Using only single-station data with the correction of the azimuth bias, OD can achieve three-sigma position accuracy on the order of 1.5 km root-sum-square.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the education experience, education needs, and knowledge level of calculation criteria for dental workers. It was conducted on dental workers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk province and an online survey was conducted using Google Survey. We used frequency analysis, crossover analysis, and ANOVA analysis method to find out general characteristic, education experience, education needs, and knowledge level according to education experience and education needs of candidates. As a result of in the knowledge level survey of dental health insurance, there were high rates of incorrect answers to the calculation criteria when the claim program automatically processes it or notifies you through an error window. The level of knowledge of candidates who are experienced, on a claim, and with experience in dental insurance training in the last six months was high. In conclusion, it seems that accurate and correct insurance claims are possible when the dental workers are familiar with the calculation criteria changed through regular dental health insurance education. We look forward to this study providing basic data in preparation of education system for professional dental insurance claims for dental workers.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a prevention education program by grasping the knowledge of hepatitis A, Immunization and prevention behavior of university students. The subject of the study was questionnaire for 219 students, excluding the 3rd and 4th graders of the Department of Nursing. Collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation using SPSS 18.0. As a result of the study, knowledge of hepatitis A was determined by gender, major, allowance for a month, HAV education experience within 3 months, personal antibody retention, HAV hepatitis, and cases of HAV infection among family members, hepatitis A prevention behavior showed a significant difference in the type of residence. In order to increase the hepatitis A vaccination rate of university students through this study, the need for vaccination and promotion of adult vaccination is necessary, and the development of a program that enables habitual preventive behaviors is needed.

  • This study aimed to explore how the AIDS knowledge, self esteem, sense of control and optimistic bias affect condom use among male college students. The survey was done among 323 male students within a university in B city and analyzed according to descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The students had optimistic bias regarding AIDS, and the scores on the AIDS knowledge, self esteem, and sense of control were all rated high. Self esteem and sense of control, sense of control and optimistic bias, sense of control and condom use on sexual intercourse with steady sex partner, condom use on with casual sex partners and with steady sex partner showed significant positive correlation. Self esteem and sense of control were predictors of condom use on sexual intercourse with steady sex partner. Additional studies among various groups should be followed to identify the relationship between variables and condom use.

  • The purpose of this study was to find out a correlation about the knowledge of blood donation, attitude and altruism to nursing students, to use as basic data that can contribute the ways to promote active blood donation practice of nursing college students. Data were collected from 133 nursing students from June 4 to 15, 2020. Data analysis included t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients using the SPSS. As a result of the study, the knowledge of nursing students average level was 10.83, the average degree of attitude was 3.15, and the average degree of altruism was 3.57. As a result of analyzing the correlation between variable factors, the blood donation attitude and altruism(r=.447 p<.001) showed significantly positive correlation. The results of this study show that in order to increase the participation of blood donation to nursing students, voluntary participation through voluntary activities is main factor to increases voluntary participation, and it is necessary to change the blood donation attitude and perception of college students according to the current situation in which blood supply and demand is insufficient due to COVID 19.

  • This study was done to identify sexual knowledge, sexual attitude, and parent efficacy among parents of preschool child. Participants were 70 couples, parents of preschool child. Data were analyzed using chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA. The difference in recognition and attitude about sexuality education for children among parents, person in charge of sexuality education for children(p=.043), parents' experience of sexuality education for their children(p=.043), the number of communication about sexuality with their children(p=.019), the source of information about sexuality(p=.024) showed significant difference. Sexual knowledge(p=.018) and sexual attitude(p=.006) showed meaningful difference. As a result of this study, it is necessary to develop and conduct differentiated education programs when teaching parents about sexuality education for their children in preschool period, considering these characteristics.
