  • The world is in the process of a structural change related to ICT convergence knowledge industries. ICT is leading to the creation of new products and services, and is making our lives more convenient, safer, and more efficient. In advanced countries, many studies have been conducted with the goal of developing new business models converged with ICT, and this is also the case in the food industry. Korea possesses world-leading ICT, and if this ICT is applied to the food industry, a world-class new business model can be developed. The u-Food System, which is in the process of development in Korea, is a next-generation food system that can allow food providers, consumers, and distributors to access various types of information about food products, including traceability, distribution, safety, quality, and freshness, and manage this information. It is a future food system that converges ICT, biotechnology and sensing technology with food. Based on the u-Food System, this paper will introduce the status of current smart quality distribution technologies that converge ICT (such as sensor tag, sensor network, LBS, GIS, and CDMA) with food technologies (such as traceability, quality, distribution management) to manage the safety and quality of fresh food in the distribution process.

  • EM algorithm has good convergence rate for numerical procedures which converges on very small step. In the case of proportion estimation in a mixed distribution which has very big incomplete data or of update of new data continuously, however, EM algorithm highly depends on a initial value with slow convergence ratio. There have been many studies to improve the convergence rate of EM algorithm in estimating the proportion parameter of a mixed data. Among them, dynamic EM algorithm by Hurray Jorgensen and Titterington algorithm by D. M. Titterington are proven to have better convergence rate than the standard EM algorithm, when a new data is continuously updated. In this paper we suggest dynamic EM algorithm and Titterington algorithm for the estimation of a mixed Poisson distribution and compare them in terms of convergence rate by using a simulation method.

  • The district heating system supports currently 1.3 million of houses in South Korea, and it is composed of two main parts: provision and distribution. For the provision part, Korea District Heating Corporation supervises the system with proper devices and experts, whereas for the distribution parts, there is no main supervision system and it depends highly on experts although it is very difficult to find the proper experts. In this paper, we consider IoT based remote management system for district heating distribution to properly supervise heating distribution by experts and/or programs remotely.

  • In this paper, tried to find out the proper luminous intensity distribution for the cabin with low-level height by analyzing the changing tendency of discomfort glare according to luminous intensity distribution of marine indoor luminaires using Unified Glare Rating(UGR). First, we analyzed UGR of the indoor luminaires in the existing cabin, and then evaluated influence on luminous intensity distributions of marine indoor luminaire. The results showed that $cos^2{\Theta}$ distribution got almost low UGR results regardless of height and UGR 16.5 in cabin height of 2m. However, Gaussian distribution with the same beam angle showed that UGR results consistently increased by getting lower height and UGR 20.7 in the same height. In conclusion, the $cos^2{\Theta}$ distribution in consideration of luminous intensity on the direction of observer's eye was appropriate for general cabin indoor luminaires because it decreased UGR in the low-level height.

  • In this paper, a design and implementation for direct deal distribution platform is proposed to bypass the complex traditional distribution structure of agricultural market, as one of the fields where distribution patterns have changed. In the case of domestic agricultural distribution, demand and supply are unstable since the sales market is excessively concentrated in the designated wholesale market. Besides sales must go through multiple stages of distribution leading to problems in freshness and stability of agricultural products and downward pressure on profit margins for producers. To solve the above mentioned issues, we propose a cloud service convergence direct deal distribution platform based on asynchronous-driven Node.js. The proposed platform can facilitate a variety of direct trading functions and also access to visualization information related to agricultural products, which may increase user confidence at an intermediary-free direct transactions platform. First, we describe the requirements of intermediary-free direct transactions of agricultural products and transaction entities. Next the database structure and transaction functions are designed and then implemented according to those requirements. Finally, an API based cloud convergence service structure is designed to provide the analyzed information to ensure a trustworthy system.

  • In this paper, we first establish some characterization of tightness for a sequence of random elements taking values in the space of normal and upper-semicontinuous fuzzy sets with compact support in $R^P$. As a result, we give some sufficient conditions for a sequence of fuzzy random sets to converge in distribution.

  • As distributed generation (DG) is connected to grid, there is new node-type occurring in distribution network. An efficient algorithm is proposed in this paper to calculate power flow for weakly meshed distribution network with DGs in different load models. The algorithm respectively establishes mathematical models focusing on the wind power, photovoltaic cell, fuel cell, and gas turbine, wherein the different DGs are respectively equivalent to PQ, PI, PQ (V) and PV node-type. When dealing with PV node, the algorithm adopts reactive power compensation device to correct power, and the reactive power allocation principle is proposed to determine reactive power initial value to improve convergence of the algorithm. In addition, when dealing with the weakly meshed network, the proposed algorithm, which builds path matrix based on loop-analysis and establishes incident matrix of node voltage and injection current, possesses good convergence and strong ability to process the loops. The simulation results in IEEE33 and PG&G69 node distribution networks show that with increase of the number of loops, the algorithm's iteration times will decrease, and its convergence performance is stronger. Clearly, it can be effectively used to solve the problem of power flow calculation for weakly meshed distribution network containing different DGs.

  • In this paper, seven equivalent conditions of complete moment convergence and complete integral convergence for negatively orthant dependent (NOD, in short) sequences are shown under two cases: identical distribution and stochastic domination. The results obtained in the paper improve and generalize the corresponding ones of Liang et al. [10]). In addition, an extension of the Baum-Katz complete convergence theorem: six equivalent conditions of complete convergence is established.
