휠-레일 방식 초고속열차용 초전도 선형동기전동기의 지상권선 방식별 특성 분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Superconducting LSM for the Wheel-rail-guided Very High Speed Train according to Winding Method of the Ground 3-phase Coils)

  • Recently, an interest in a hybrid system combining only the merits of the conventional wheel-rail system and Maglev propulsion system is growing as an alternative to high-speed maglev train. This hybrid-type system is based on wheel-rail method, but it enables to overcome the speed limitation by adhesion because it is operated by a non-contact method using a linear motor as a propulsion system and reduce the overall construction costs by its compatibility with the conventional railway systems. Therefore, the design and characteristic analysis of a coreless-type superconducting Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) for 600km/h very high speed railway system are conducted in this paper. The designed coreless-type superconducting LSMs are the distributed winding model, the concentrated 1 layer winding model and the concentrated 2 layer winding model, respectively. In addition, the characteristic comparison studies on each LSM are conducted.

  • Recent power converting system for an electric train has characteristics of a complex electromechanical system, which includes VVVF inverter, bidirectional converter, ac motor and controller and etc. So in order to analysis its dynamic characteristics reliably, a powerful and flexible simulation technique is needed. Concerned with this respect, because the Simulink has a veriety of powerful functions and analysis tools not available in conventional power electronics simulation packages, it can be effectively applied to the simulation of the power converting system. In this paper, a schematically similar model for an electric train power converting system is derived on the Simulink Window, based on the Dynamic Node Technique, and several simulations have been implemented with the model. With the simulation results, the characteristics of the power converting system and the easeness of the proposed Simulink-based simulation technique could be verified clearly.

A Study on the Measurement of Contact Force of Pantograph on High Speed Train

  • Appropriate upward force is crucial for the pantograph on high speed train to collect current from the catenery system without separation. However, at high speed, large aerodynamic lifting force is generated by the contact plate and the arms of pantograph, which may cause wear of the contact wire. In this study, to confirm the interface performance of the pantograph on Korea High Speed Train, a method to measure the contact force of the pantograph was proposed and the related measurement system was developed. The forces acting on the pantograph were clarified and a procedure to calculate the aerodynamic lifting force was proposed. A special device was invented and applied to measure the lifting force. Measured contact forces were displayed by the developed system and evaluated according to the criteria. Countermeasures were also taken to reduce the contact force based on the results.

시운전 시험을 통한 한국형 고속열차의 승차감 변화추세에 관한 연구 (Examination on the variation of ride comfort for korean high speed train through on-line test)

  • In this paper, we introduce the variation of ride characteristics for HSR 350x(Korea High Speed Train project) through on-line test during about 3 years. The concept of term "ride comfort" is equivocal. Generally it is evaluated as the vehicle vibration. The ride comfort for HSR 350x has been assessed by statistical method according to UIC 513R. The testing results show that HSR 350x has no problems from the viewpoint of the comfort ride on the high speed line and conventional line and that 1st and 2nd suspensions play an important role in the ride characteristics for high speed train.

  • Light Rail Transit (LRT) System is an urban transit system which has approximately an intermediate transportation capacity between conventional subway and bus ($5,000{\sim}25,000$ persons per hour and per direction). It is a high-tech system which operational capacity, punctuality and mobility are remarkably improved. There are some types of LRT systems such as monorail, tramway, AGT(Automated Guideway Transit), and so on. The LRT systems have been applied and being operated in about a hundred lines around the world and many projects that apply the LRT systems in Korea are being proceeded and scheduled. For the efficient management, economical construction, and safe operation of various LRT systems, the establishment of national standard is necessary such as vehicle standardized specification, vehicle performance test standard, vehicle safety standard, construction guide, operation regulation, etc. of LRT systems. This paper presents the standard specification of electrical equipment of linear induction motor type light rail vehicle, that is LIM AGT(AGT system propelled with linear induction motor) vehicle. The LIM AGT system has been applied in Japan subway and ART(Advanced Rapid Transit) system of Canada and Yongin LRT is currently under construction.

  • The level crossing collision accident which comprises more than 90 percent of all level crossing accidents is one of the most serious safety problems. There is a critical need for providing safe strategy and is focusing on the level crossing information rather than measures at a grade crossing. This study is intended to develop technology for accident prevention and damage reduction based on accident cases analysis result and improvement direction to complement shortcomings of safety equipment of conventional level crossing and to establish safety of travelers(train, motor vehicle, person).

V-Groove 패턴을 위한 마이크로 사출성형의 폴리머 멜트 충전 거동 (Filling Behavior of Polymer Melt in Micro Injection Molding for V-Grooves Pattern)

  • This study uses two numerical approaches to analyze the filling behavior of micro patterns on micro-injection molding for V-grooves pattern which cannot be simulated with conventional CAE packages. The parametric studies have been performed to examine the fidelity of micro patterns with respect to temperature, pressure, inlet velocity and pattern location on the mold according to the boundary condition from the macro pressure and velocity data which can be obtained by conventional CAE packages. Through these numerical approaches, the filling behavior of polymer melt in micro patterns can be understood, the quality of replication can be predicted, and the V-groove pattern can be shaped uniformly during the process of injection molding.

  • When high speed train runs on heavy curvature section of conventional line, squeal noise emitted from the railroad and wheel. This noise is very unpleasant to the near habitant. In this study, the characteristics and the countermeasures of the squeal noise of high speed train running on the conventional line was investigated.

  • 박판관은 충돌안전을 위한 에너지 흡수장치 중의 하나로써 가벼우면서도 에너지 흡수 효율이 좋아 널리 이용되어 왔다. 그러나 일반적인 박판관은 충돌 초기 피크하중(IPCF: Initial Peak Crushing Force)이 높게 유발될 뿐 아니라 반복적으로 나타나는 피크하중으로 인하여 충돌에너지 흡수장치로써의 안정성이 다소 떨어진다는 단점이 있다. 충돌 초기 피크하중을 감소시키고 충돌에너지 흡수장치의 안정성을 키우기 위하여 박판 파형관이 도입되었다. 파형관의 성능은 기하 형상에 큰 영향을 받기 때문에 최적설계 기법을 적용하여 파형관의 성능을 최적화할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 충돌안전도 해석에 기반한 형상 최적설계를 수행하기 위하여 적응 근사모델(adaptive surrogate model)을 활용한 최적설계 기법을 활용하였다. 파형의 진폭 및 파장 뿐 아니라 형상의 곡률 변화를 설계 변수로써 고려하였다. 형상 설계 매개변수화를 수행하기 위하여 몰핑(morphing) 방법을 채택하였다. 수치 예제를 통해서 적응 근사모델에 기반한 최적설계 결과와 기존 근사모델에 기반한 최적설계 결과를 비교하고 적응 근사모델에 기반한 최적설계 방법이 좀 더 효율적인 결과를 도출함을 보였다.

실시간 철도 안전관제를 위한 DDS 기반의 일반철도 신호 데이터 규격 설계 연구 (Research on Design of DDS-based Conventional Railway Signal Data Specification for Real-time Railway Safety Monitoring and Control)

  • 철도 안전사고 예방을 목표로 하는 실시간 철도 안전관제 시스템에서는 DDS (Data Distribution Service) 표준 기술 기반의 데이터 전송 방안을 적용함으로 기존 현장의 안전검지장치로부터 발생한 데이터를 통합 및 관리하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수많은 현장 데이터 중 일반철도 현장에서 발생한 신호설비 데이터 규격 설계를 소개하고 있다. 신호설비 데이터의 DDS 전송을 위하여 기존 표준 규격인 KRS SG 0062를 모델링하고, DDS 데이터 전송 단위인 Topic 설계 및 데이터 변환 방안을 제시하고, 데이터 성격 별로 네트워크 제어 QoS 정책 설계를 제시하고 있다. 또한 실제 현장 데이터를 분석하여 설계된 규격이 현장에 적용 가능한지를 확인해 보았다.
