Since its market opening in the year 1996, Korea's retail sector has witnessed the emergence of various new retail formats such as discount stores and Internet shopping malls. Given the competition among various retail formats, it is needed to analyze the previous trends and to measure the future potential of the market with more careful economic models. Using Time Series Analysis on Korean economy and distribution industry, we aim to economic models to follow the trends and to measure the future growth of competing retail formats such as department stores, discount stores and convenience stores. We have found that the growth of department stores, convenience stores and specialty store format is very closely related with the private consumption expenditure. On the other hand, private consumption expenditure is not a good variable to explain the growth of discount stores and the supermarket sector. Following an extensive data analysis, three year forecasting of Korean distribution market including six different retail sectors is proposed. In addition, several discussion points including statistical classification of retail formats are argued.
Since discount stores should be operated mostly by the non-human resources regarding the natural characteristics of the business, it is possibly said that their physical environments have been extremely significant. This study attempts to develop the measurement items and construct factors which are especially relevant to the physical environments of the discount stores and examine how the customer satisfaction and intention influence on these construct factors. These provide a useful framework for understanding the problems of measuring and evaluating the physical environments of discount stores. The final factor analysis for each construct factors resulted as four factors, and two categories(amenity and convenience) represented the characteristics of same construct such as the visibility. Then convenience is eliminated, and an attempt was made to add the new variable what is called the visibility. As a result, final construct factors that would be used in this study are made of four items; amenity, accessibility, POP and visibility. This study utilizes the LISREL 8.12 to evaluate the validity of factor structures and measurement model involving the physical environment in discount store. Finally, for the success of the projects, I think that it is necessary to provide comprehensive efforts continuously.

Collection of data for this study was conducted by 271 questionnaire responded by the consumers of purchasing anti-allergy bedding products, and analysed statistically using SPSS. Research results through the questionnaire, it was determined to be the cause of allergic disease consumers most house dust mites. Anti-allergic bedding was soft to the touch, warmth, dust Blow out prevention effects, anti-allergic performance satisfaction of the properties has a positive effect on repurchase intent. The Gongju Sanseong Traditional Market, the subject of this study, was formed in the early 1900's, and along with the development of Gongju, it has been constantly changed and expanded up until now. The Sanseong Traditional Market located in Gongju, the Korea's representative historic city, exhibits merits in the aspects as a city based on the symbolic significance of the city where it is located and historical characteristics; however, it also presents some problems as well in consideration of user convenience and accessibility. Thereupon, this study conducted literature review on traditional markets, field research with a field trip, and a survey in order to analyze the spatial characteristics of the market environment and grope for the methods of activation. The conclusion suggested through this is as written below: First, the changes of types regarding spatial use according to the modernization project of traditional markets are essential, so about the spatial use according to the spatial changes, it is needed to distribute it balancedly considering the central space of the market. Second, with the understanding of the spatial types of traditional markets, it is needed to build a plan for alternation in the types of physical space based on that. Third, it is necessary to suggest the methods of integrated spatial use among standing markets and 5-day markets. In particular, through the approaches from the aspects of architectural and urban design and through reasonable spatial planning, a systematic approach considering the convenience of the users and merchants using it as their living space should be prioritized. And lastly, it is needed to reorganize the space according to the physical and non-physical methods in order to figure out the methods of activating traditional markets in agricultural areas and minor cities. With the complex approaches above, we can grope for the methods of activating traditional markets.
Objectives: This study compared the dietary behaviors of single-person households when eating alone according to the employment pattern and age. Methods: A total of 566 people aged 20~59 years old were collected from the status of workers and classified into three groups according to their employment pattern (regular, non-regular workers and business owner). The subjects were collected by purposive quota sampling on a Gallup panel from June to November in 2017. The dietary behavior and perception of eating alone of the subjects were surveyed via online and self-reported questionnaires. Results: The frequency of eating alone was significantly higher in the regular group than the non-regular group and business group (p<0.01). The place of eating alone was significantly higher in the regular and non-regular group in the convenience store, and business group in the office (p<0.001). Ramen, the menu when eating alone, was significantly higher in the non-regular group than the other groups (p<0.01). The preference for eating alone was lower in the older age group (p<0.05). The young aged group (aged 20~30) ate more fast food and felt more convenience than the older aged group aged 40~50 years (p<0.05). Conclusions: Single-person households with a non-regular job have poorer dietary behavior in eating alone than those who had regular employment. In a situation of an increasing number of non-regular workers aged in their 20s and 30s, there is a high likelihood of social problems, such as health and poverty. This study highlights the need for a healthy food selection environment to improve the dietary life of single-person households with non-regular jobs for the diverse types of single-person households.

It easily collects information on purchased goods using IoT(Internet of Things). The collected data is updated directly to the smartphone for verification. The payment information is generated by QR-Code. As a way to implement a system, System was configured with two assumptions: IoT technology using Raspberry-Pi and mobile QR technology. First, RFID tags are attached to the goods instead of barcodes. Second, it has an IoT computer(Raspberry-Pi) built into its shopping cart. This system keeps traditional shopping method of face-to-face payment, but replace time-consuming tarditional barcode tagging method to QR-tagging system for time-efficiency. By debeloping the system of this paper, we maintain pleasures in offline store shopping and it provide convenience due to reduced waiting time for customers and providing prior information about the products.
Purpose: Patients with brain damage suffer from limitations in performing the activities of daily living (ADL) because of their motor function and visual perception impairment. The aim of this study was to help improve the motor function and visual perception ability of patients with brain damage by providing them with virtual reality-based contents. The usability results of the patients and specialists group were also evaluated. Methods: The ADL contents consisted of living room, kitchen, veranda, and convenience store, similar to a real home environment, and these were organized by a rehabilitation specialist (e.g., neurologist, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist). The contents consisted of tasks, such as turning on the living room lights, organizing the drawers, organizing the kitchen, watering the plants on the veranda, and buying products at convenience stores. To evaluate the usability of the virtual reality-based visual cognitive rehabilitation service, general elderly subjects (n=11), stroke patients (n=7), stroke patients with visual impairment (n=4), and rehabilitation specialists (n=11) were selected. The questionnaires were distributed to the subjects who were using the service, and the subjective satisfaction of individual users was obtained as data. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 software. The general characteristics of the users and the evaluation scores of the experts were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The usability test result of this study showed that the mean value of the questionnaire related to content understanding and difficulty was high, between 4-5 points. Conclusion: The virtual reality rehabilitation service of this study is an efficient service that can improve the function, interest, and motivation of stroke patients.
Purpose: According to the growth of technology in the service industry, the interaction service between customer and employee has recently been transformed into between customer and technology by Self Service Technology (SST) requiring direct interaction with customers. In this context, self service technology such as unmanned ordering system installed at the store is actively introduced at the work place to reduce labor costs by food and retail company and the research for self-service technology which is rapidly replacing existing face-to-face service is needed. As the growth speed of SST is rapid, many researchers have studied the characteristics of SST, in every sector of business worldwide. Among the characteristics, attributes, Self Service Technology Quality (SSTQUAL) to evaluate SST is important because it may cause the customer's behavior. Thus, this research focuses on the effects of SSTQUAL on SST Satisfaction and SST continuance usage intention. This research suggests the guidelines for how Restaurant Company should prepare SST and build their customer satisfaction and continuance usage that increase the sales. Research design, data and methodology: This study tests the structural relationship between SSTQUAL of unmanned ordering system, SST satisfaction and SST continuance usage. SSTQUAL divided into four sub-dimensions and two categories, cognitive service attributes (Convenience, Functionality) and affective service attributes (Enjoyment, Assurance). In order to achieve the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed based on previous researches. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 524 customers experiencing SST and were analyzed through SPSS 25.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical package program. Results: The findings of this research are as follows. First, all SSTQUAL have significant positive impacts on SST satisfaction. Second, SST satisfaction has significant positive impact on SST continuance intention. Third, cognitive service attributes and affective service attributes had wealth of explanation of service attribute more than a single dimension. Conclusions: The implications of this study are as follows. Overall, Restaurant Company should manage SSTQUAL consisting of not only cognitive service attributes (Convenience, Functionality) but also affective service attributes (Enjoyment, Assurance) to satisfy customers basically regardless of the type of restaurant.
