  • We have designed embedded web sewer system and ported Linux operating system version 2.4.5 at our system. And then We implemented to control and monitor widely separated hardware and implemented to monitor widely separated image using CMOS image sensor HV7131B. Web server is the Boa web server with General Public License. We designed for this system using of Intel's SA1110 ARM core base processor and connecting input and output device at GPIO port of SA1110. Device driver of General purpose I/O for Embedded Linux OS is designed. And then the application program controlling driver is implemented to use of common gate interface C language. User is available to control and monitor at client PC. This method have benefit to reduce the Expenditure of hardware design and development time against PC base system and have various and capacious application against firmware base system.

  • This paper presents the development of a knowledge-based control system operating via the Internet. With the synergy provided by the Internet, the central expert controller with its knowledge-base has the potential to serve a multitude of front-end clients located anywhere in the world provided they have Internet access. In this way, the operational span of the knowledge-based control system can be expanded to virtually anyplace within the reach of the Internet. This configuration has positive implications in improving the efficiency of distributed operations, thereby enabling plantwide optimization and costs savings. Datasocket technology is adopted to facilitate a more efficient data exchange between the knowledge-based central server and the front-end clients. A specific application in the remote monitoring and fault diagnosis of machines using the proposed control configuration is presented in the paper.

  • 본 논문은 캠퍼스환경에서 에너지 절약을 위해 조명 및 공조기기의 최적제어 시스템 개발에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구를 통해 개발 된 제어 시스템의 경우 모션센서와 영상처리를 통해 출입 인원수 파악과 온/습도에 대한 정보로 조명과 에어컨을 제어한다. 또한 데이터 통합 모니터링과 제어 신호에 따른 명령 수행 기능을 통해 제어한 결과들로 에너지 절약을 가능하도록 하였다.

  • An open rack vaporizer is a facility that vaporizes liquefied natural gas using sea water. When a vaporization efficiency of the open rack vaporizer decreases, liquefied natural gas can leak, which can cause great damage to the facility. Operators have to monitor the operation state of the facility in real-time to prevent the accident. However, operators have visited the site and have checked the state by looking at the value of sensors installed in the open rack vaporizer through indicators. For the safe operation of the open rack vaporizer, a monitoring system is needed to monitor the operation state of the open rack vaporizer in real-time without the need for operators to visit the site. In this paper, we developed a long term evolution based monitoring system to monitor the operation state of the open rack vaporizer. The developed system can monitor the real-time operation state of the open rack vaporizer at a control center far from the facility. For the system development, data transmission infrastructure using long term evolution was built. Afterwards a software was developed to monitor the operation state of the open rack vaporizer in real-time using the transmitted data. Finally, performance evaluation was conducted to confirm that the developed system operated successfully without data transmission delay or data missing.

Development of Long-Term Storage Technology for Chinese Cabbage - Physiological Characteristics of Postharvest Freshness in a Cooler with a Monitoring and Control Interface

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop long-term storage technology for Chinese cabbage in order to extend the period of availability of freshly harvested products. The scope of the paper deals with the use of a cooler with a remote monitoring and control interface in conjunction with use of packaging film. Methods: A cooler with a real time monitoring system was designed as a low-temperature storage facility to control temperature and relative humidity (RH). The effects of storage in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic boxes, 3% chitosan dipping solution, polypropylene film (PEF) with perforations, and mesh packaging bags on physiological responses were investigated. The optimal storage temperature and humidity for 120 days were below $0.5^{\circ}C$ and 90%, respectively. Physiological and biochemical features of cabbage quality were also analyzed: weight loss, texture, and sugar salinity, chlorophyll, reducing sugar, and vitamin C contents. Results: The cooler with a remote monitoring and control interface could be operated by an HMI program. A $0.5^{\circ}C$ temperature and 90% humidity could be remotely controlled within the cooler for 120 days. Postharvest freshness of Chinese cabbages could be maintained up to 120 days depending on the packaging method and operation of the remote monitoring system. In particular, wrapping the cabbages in PEF with perforations resulted in a less than a 5% deterioration in quality. This study provides evidence for efficient performance of plastic films in minimizing post-harvest deterioration and maintaining overall quality of cabbages stored under precise low-temperature conditions with remote monitoring and a control interface. Conclusions: Packaging with a modified plastic film and storage in a precisely controlled cooler with a remote monitoring and control interface could slow down the physiological factors that cause adverse quality changes and thereby increase the shelf life of Chinese cabbage.

  • The ATO(Automatic Train Operation) System is used for train operation instead of dreivers. It is interfaced with TCMS(Train Control and Monitoring System) and ATC/TWC system in the train and wayside facilities. In this paper describes configuration of ATO, Specification of ATO hardware, construction of ATO software and the algorithm for automatic train speed regulation in the carborn ATO system. This paper is mainly concerned with the development of the ATO System. The ATO system is used for automatic or driverless operation of a train using various informations from TCMS, ATC, TWC. In this paper, the general architecture of the ATO system, implementation of ATO application software and the algorithm using servo-controller for automatic train speed controller.

  • This study intend to make easy modification, even if there is a new job or structure change, by modularizing program and computerize and automation of production control management used in CIM. under the condition where manager control production on the job-site, for increasing connection with other operation and management on the computer by monitoring center computer, recognizing information by computer is needed, it is possible by converting transaction. So this study goal is to make delivery control and order control fast and accurate by finding dynamic history of machine and production information in enterprise without input production and quality information by themselves with quality information system. So production increase and quality improvement are possible by diminishing manager's and producer's work with the result of the study combining POP and CIM, after that, in e-business and m-business period that every enterprise must pass, customer satisfaction and sales promotion are possible with employee's computerizing minds. these study result also can knowledge process condition with theoretical class and have a power in finding a solution with foundation of theoretical knowledge.

  • 본 논문에서는 대형 선박용 디젤 엔진의 실린더 라이너의 마모량을 측정하는 새로운 시스템의 개발에 관하여 소개한다. 제안된 시스템은 LVDT, 온도센서, 실린더 내부의 밝기조절용 LED 및 카메라가 각각 1개씩 부착된 측정부, 계측명령전달 및 측정데이터 모니터링을 담당하는 컴퓨터기반 모니터링부, 측정부의 제어 및 측정데이터의 모니터링부로의 전송을 담당하는 주 제어부로 구성된다. 개발된 시스템의 정도는 1/100 mm 의 측정정도를 갖는 내경게이지의 것과 비교되어진다.

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor working conditions caused by dust and noise. In the our previous study, an automatic polishing system was developed to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers. And, to operate the polishing robot system from remote sites, communication network was constructed and monitoring programs (a server program and a client program)) were developed.
