A Study on the Real-Time Parameter Estimation of DURUMI-II for Control Surface Fault Using Flight Test Data (Longitudinal Motion)

  • For the purpose of fault detection of the primary control surface, real-time estimation of the longitudinal stability and control derivatives of the DURUMI-II using the flight data is considered in this paper. The DURUM-II, a research UAV developed by KARI, is designed to have split control surfaces for the redundancy and to guarantee safety during the fault mode flight test. For fault mode analysis, the right elevator was deliberately fixed to the specified deflection condition. This study also mentions how to implement the multi-step control input efficiently, and how to switch between the normal mode and the fault mode during the flight test. As a realtime parameter estimation technique, Fourier transform regression method was used and the estimated data was compared with the results of the analytical method and the other available method. The aerodynamic derivatives estimated from the normal mode flight data and the fault mode data are compared and the possibility to detect the elevator fault by monitoring the control derivative estimated in real time by the computer onboard was discussed.

  • This paper proposed the robot vision control method to track a moving rigid body target using the vision system model that can actively control camera parameters even if the relative position between the camera and the robot and the focal length and posture of the camera change. The proposed robotic vision control scheme uses a batch method that uses all the vision data acquired from each moving point of the robot. To process all acquired data, this robot vision control scheme is divided into two cases. One is to give an equal weight for all acquired data, the other is to give weighting for the recent data acquired near the target. Finally, using the two proposed robot vision control schemes, experiments were performed to estimate the positions of a moving rigid body target whose spatial positions are unknown but only the vision data values are known. The efficiency of each control scheme is evaluated by comparing the accuracy through the experimental results of each control scheme.

  • Cloud storage's elastic expansibility not only provides flexible services for data owners to store their data remotely, but also reduces storage operation and management costs of their data sharing. The data outsourced remotely in the storage space of cloud service provider also brings data security concerns about data integrity. Data integrity verification has become an important technology for detecting the integrity of remote shared data. However, users without data access rights to verify the data integrity will cause unnecessary overhead to data owner and cloud service provider. Especially malicious users who constantly launch data integrity verification will greatly waste service resources. Since data owner is a consumer purchasing cloud services, he needs to bear both the cost of data storage and that of data verification. This paper proposes a verification control algorithm in data integrity verification for remotely outsourced data. It designs an attribute-based encryption verification control algorithm for multiple verifiers. Moreover, data owner and cloud service provider construct a common access structure together and generate a verification sentinel to verify the authority of verifiers according to the access structure. Finally, since cloud service provider cannot know the access structure and the sentry generation operation, it can only authenticate verifiers with satisfying access policy to verify the data integrity for the corresponding outsourced data. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves fine-grained access control to multiple verifiers for the data integrity verification.

  • In this paper, a real-time communication method using a PICNET-NP(Plant Instrumentation and Control Network for Nuclear Power Plant) is proposed with an analysis of the control network requirements of DCS (Distributed Control System) in nuclear power plants. The method satisfies deadline in case of worst data traffics by considering aperiodic and periodic real-time data and others. In addition, the method was used to analyze the data characteristics of the DCS in existing nuclear power plant. The result shows that use of this method meets the response time requirement(100ms).

This paper describes how to acquire and manage the data to be generated from sensor sources in a manufacturing process. The functionality of this data management system is composed of data acquisition, database management, processing and display of the available data. Also, this system has a adaptability to be carried throughout configuration management.

  • The SECS Ⅰ and Ⅱ Protocol has been widely used for the TFT LCD and semiconductor industry. This paper shows how the SECS protocol is implemented for data communications between the Host (CAM) and the TFT LCD equipments. In addition, this study introduces a way to apply the SECS protocol to the manufacturing systems control. It provides better throughput in terms of production and faster control of the automated TFT LCD manufacturing system by way of shortcut and distribution of control and data communications. The SECS protocol is successfully used for the control of the real TFT LCD manufacturing system.

  • This paper examines the use of a wireless Fieldbus based on IEEE 802.15.4 MAC protocol. The superframe of IEEE 802.15.4 is applied to a transmission scheme of real-time mixed data. The transmission and bandwidth allocation scheme are proposed for real-time communication using a superframe. The proposed wireless Fieldbus protocol is able to transmit three types of data (periodic data, sporadic data, and non real-time messages), and guarantee realtime transmission simultaneously within a limited timeframe.

  • A learning control method is proposed in this paper, using a knowledge base which contains control rules, data, and patterns of the past experience of a plant. The knowledge for plant control is retrieved from measurement data during operation and continually modified after control performance evaluation. A control method is proposed using tinually modified after control performance evaluation. A control method is proposed using fuzzy model of the plant and a recursive statistic decision method of fuzzy subset for control rule generation. Also, the resulting knowledge-based control algorithm has been applied to aprocess and its performance improvement and proper generation of appropriate control rules have been verified.

  • In this paper, we propose a robot control data generation system applying context aware mechanism in order to control the robot manipulator which automatically sorts parcels. The context aware mechanism generates intelligent information to control a robot using context data such as the parcel shape, weight, location and barcodes. The proposed system collects context data of the parcel and generates robot control data to pick up and drop parcels. Then a robot manipulator, which receives control data of picking-up and dropping, processes the automated sorting of parcels according to delivery persons and delivery routes. It will contribute not only to save much time and cost but also to reduce the industrial accidents.
