The time and cost is the most important information for the construction project management. Currently, a lot of studies have been done in order to clearly relate them with each other, but there have been some difficulties. Because of the characteristic of Korean government contract law, the construction project in Korea is managed by only cost and the time and cost information is distinctly separated. In order to manage all the major construction project information smoothly, the time and cost information should have relation with each other. This study suggest methods for relating the time and cost information, especially for road construction project of MOCT. Through the survey of construction field engineers and case study of the road construction project, several alternatives to improve the usability of construction information are suggested in this study. These alternatives can support relating other construction information.
This study has attempted to collect actual spot's opinions and analyze importance-performance of indicators for the evaluation of hospital nutrition department. The results of this research were as follows: first, the average score of self-estimated performance was 3.75 based on a 5-point scale. The degrees of importance of hospital foodservice and nutrition department management were in the range of 3.71~4.85 out of 5.0 and the mean importance degree score was 4.37. Second, the average score of self-estimated performance in each category was significantly higher in the case of general special hospital compared to general hospital. Especially average performance score of nutrition management in the general special hospital was higher than that of general hospital (P<0.001). The average performance score of the hospital with more beds was significantly higher than that with less beds. Contract managed hospital's score was significantly higher than that of self-operated hospital in two categories, "facilities management" and "nutrition management" (P<0.05, P<0.01). In foodservice and nutrition management of task-separated hospitals, the average performance scores were significantly higher than those of not-separated hospitals (P<0.01, P<0.001). Third, according to the importance-performance analysis of recognition about indicators for the hospital nutrition department's operations evaluation, 'foodservice facilities management' and 'foodservice sanitation management' were in 'doing great', 'nutritional management' and 'operational management' were in 'low priority', and 'other foodservice management' was in 'overdone'. In conclusion, there's a need for institutional specific standards of sanitation for Korean hospital foodservice.
We investigated the foodservice management practices in various operation types of childcare centers in Asan, Chungnam Province, with the intention of improving the quality of foodservice and providing the basic information for establishing more effective and efficient foodservice model system. Self-completed questionnaires were collected from the directors of 174 child care centers. The statistical analysis was completed using SPSS Ver. 12.0 program. The followings are about the results of this study. Approximately 94.8% of the directors were women with the average age of 40.3. All of the investigated facilities executed foodservice; the facilities of 96.2% had been self-operated, 1.9% was contract-managed and the remaining 1.9% served delivered meal from outside. Only 20.0% of the investigated centers employed a dietitian. In most of the centers, meals were prepared in a conventional manner and approximately 85.3% of the centers are serving only snacks twice a day as a supplementary due to financial difficulties. Menu planner of the facilities, which have no dietitian was the director (35.8%) or the cook (25.7%). In most centers, the directors purchased the food materials (67.5%). Material inspection was done by the director (54.9%) or the cook (40.5%). However, home care centers did not inspect the food material. These results indicate that food service management guidelines need to be established by the facility type with the government control and financial support. Especially, dietitian employment and the efficient foodservice model system establishment are questions that confront us.

In the case of weapon systems used by the military, defense standards are applied for economical and efficient procurement, management, and maintenance. Defense specifications are documents describing procedures and methods for determining whether technical requirements for products and services are consistent and apply to the production of weapon systems, quality assurance, and configuration management. Software is also subject to defense specifications, and is documented and managed in the same way as other defense specifications. Sometimes it happened to be standardized without some(or all) software. In this case, a competitive contract is impossible and it may affect the quality of weapon systems because the manufacturer arbitrarily changes the software without prior approval. So, software standardization is required, but it is very difficult to verify for firmware installed in hardware. This paper proposed a verification method for g software standardization, and we expect it will contribute to the efficient production and quality assurance of weapon systems.

Construction sites are characterized by dangerous situations and environments that cause fatal accidents. Potential risk detection needs to be improved by continuously monitoring site conditions. However, the current labor-intensive inspection practice has many limitations in monitoring dangerous conditions at construction sites. Computer vision technology that can quickly analyze and collect site conditions from images has been in the spotlight as a solution. Nonetheless, inspection results obtained via computer vision are still stored and managed in centralized systems vulnerable to tampering with information by the central node. Blockchain has been used as a reliable and efficient decentralized information management system. Despite its potential, only limited research has been conducted integrating computer vision and blockchain. Therefore, to solve the current safety management problems, the authors propose a framework for construction site inspection that integrates object detection and blockchain network, enabling efficient and reliable remote inspection. Object detection is applied to enable the automatic analysis of site safety conditions. As a result, the workload of safety managers can be reduced with inspection results stored and distributed reliably through the blockchain network. In addition, errors or forgery in the inspection process can be automatically prevented and verified through a smart contract. As site safety conditions are reliably shared with project participants, project participants can remotely inspect site conditions and make safety-related decisions in trust.
Project logistics is becoming increasingly important in overseas plant projects. Efficient logistics risk management is needed to reduce construction period and reduce costs. However, Korean construction firms bid unconditionally without sufficient experience and analysis on overseas plants contract, companies are gradually losing profitability on projects due to not considering profitability. Despite the significant effects on the profitability of Korean construction companies, and although these companies still continue to bid on overseas plant projects, policies to manage project logistics risks for safe transport and compliance with the contracted building schedule in the long term is still lacking. Hence, this study investigates the risk factors related to project logistics and to analyze the effect of project logistics risk on overseas plant business performance. We conducted a survey of project-related workers. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, among the logistics risk factors, overseas platform business people recognize operational risk and financial risk factors, which have a positive effect directly on overseas plant performance. Second, the ability to manage project logistics risks can have a significant impact on the success or failure of overseas plants. Finally, if logistics risk factors are managed on the basis of the research results confirmed through empirical analysis, it is possible to carry out more efficient and effective management of the project, which implies that this will have a positive effect on overseas plant business performance.
This study surveyed on the actual conditions of using sanitizers and disinfectants for improvements of sanitization on food utensils at 105 school and 20 industry foodservice operations. The questionnaire which was administered to 125 foodservices was used as a mail or visitation method. The answers of asking "Perception on temporary authorization system of sanitizers and disinfectants on food utensils" were 75% in contract managed school foodservices, 81.8% in self operated school foodservices, and 50% in industry. Main factors to choose sanitizers were sterilizing power (38.6%, 28.6%, 38.9%) and safety (32.6%, 46.1%, 33.3%) at every foodservices. Keeping ratio of sanitizers and disinfectants guidelines in contract managed school, self operated school and industry foodservices were 64.8%, 52% and 73.7%, respectively. If easy and practical guideline is developed, most foodservices replied to use if for disinfection of foodservices. Most of the foodservices were not only knowing sanitizers and disinfectants but also possessing a guideline. However, they didn't perform disinfection according to the guideline due to its complexity. Consequently, we suggest that it is necessary to provide an easy and practical "sanitizers and disinfectants guideline" and useful information.
The purpose of this study was to understand the management status of food wastes in school meal to find the effective ways that would reduce and recycle them. Data was collected using questionnaires from 223 school dietitians located in Jeonbuk area. The results were as followed : 1) Waste was managed by the dietitians(54.7%) and cook(42.2%). The waste disposal contract was made by dietitians(65.0%), executives(31.4%). Therefore, school dietitians had primary responsibilities in the waste management. 2) As disposal ways, 48.9% processed municipal solid waste and food waste together and 46.6% processed separately. 3) A half of schools(52.9%) produced food wastes weighed under 10$\sim$15kg daily and using food wastes as animal food for farms was most popular method to dispose(87.4%). 4) Reasons to have food-wastes were disliking the taste of menu(50.2%) and the inappropriate ways of dealing with remaining food(64.1%) and donating to food bank(33.6%) in order. 5) The suggested ways to reduce the food-waste was to improve on cooking method(72.2%), changing of portion size(61.0%), measuring the amount of leftover food(53.4%) and requesting cooperation to educators(52.9%). 6) The reported consequences of reducing the food waste were: lowered grocery expenses(46.2%), and inspiring students on helping environmental preservation(23.8%). Therefore, the administration should work on finding a method to reduce food-waste and a way to use these resources efficiently. It is important to induct student's attitude on recycling remaining products by using food bank via nutrition education. Dietitian also should consider to reduce the leftover of food by using a standardized recipe.
The purpose of this study was to find the proper methods of school food service conducted from June 20th July 30th in 1996. The subjects of this study were 587 parents of students, 794 students and 359 school teachers at 508 middle and high schools in Seoul and Kyunggi area. And the result was as follow. A total of 48.3% of respondent answered they had breakfast regularly. The reasons why they had breakfast, were habits(34.4%) followed by hunger(28.2%), health(19.9%), parent's persuasion(17.5%). They reasons why they didn't have breakfast are, lacks of time(68.8%) followed by absence of appetite(20.5%), diet(4.5%). About the question the problem of eating habits the most of parents of students, chose an unbalanced diet(25.9%), followed by overeating of snacks(21.7%), voracious eating(18.0%), not eating meals(17.5%), eating little(10%) and overeating(6.8%). At the research of an unbalanced diet, the 63.3% of respondents said they eat evenly while the 36.7% said they had an unbalanced diet. From the research of correlativity between food service at elementary schools and eating habits, we knew that the experience of school food service had an effect on an unbalanced diet. And the students living in Seoul complained more than in Kyunggi. The question about the quality of food, 69.0% of respondents said they were not so bad. While 21.2% said not delicious at all just 9.8% of students said they were very satisfied with the taste. Interestingly, more middle school students both in Kyunggi and Seoul answered the food was delicious than high school students. About the question of the price, 49.5% of students thought appropriate(49.5%) while 44.3% said it was too high. Just 5.9% students answered cheap(5.9%). And students living in Kyunggi thought the price was high than students in Seoul. 62.9% of respondents think their refectories were clean while 22.8% think not clean. And 14.3% answered said dirty. Snack bars at school were managed by the contract with trusters(63.2%), while by the school itself(32.6%).

Since Korean construction firms have steadily advanced into the international market, small and medium construction companies (SMCCs) have also advanced in such market. SMCCs's recent trend have clearly shown the changes of contract types from single subcontractor projects to multiple general contracting projects. However, among those multiple projects performed by SMCCs, 1 out of 3 projects were deficit projects that impact the overall pe rformance of the firm. To increase such performance, risk management for in international construction must be managed at the enterprise level for SMCCs. This research aims to create a multiple project management model for SMCCS that employs the concept of acceptable risk to assess the limit risk level for corporation to acceptable. Using the accumulated data from previous survey and International Construction Association of Korea (ICAK), integrated risk of each firm and their profitability of each project are analyzed. Through the analysis, each firm's acceptable risk level is derived. Through the two research steps, acceptable risk algorithm was developed based on corporate integrated risk and profit correlation. To prove the acceptable algorithm relevance, financial statement analysis of 3 corporation was derived that level of acceptable risk and financial statement were available. Through the approach, this research allows the firms to analyze the firm's capability and find projects that suits the firm's situation and capability.
