Disabled Continuing Education through Research Journal Trends

  • The aim of research is to analyze trends of journal in disabilities continuing education for contributing to our country disabilities continuing education activity. Studies selected by analyzing 31 papers 8 framework with leading research lifelong learners Part 4(12.9%), continuing education personnel Pt 3(9.67%), continuing education courses Pt 12(38.7%), continuing education institutions Pt 3(9.67%), continuing education system and policies part 2(6.45%), continuing education national comparative research part 3(9.67%), continuing education theory and philosophy part 4(12.9%), continuing education research methods and disciplines study was 0 pieces(0%). Suggestions include: First, establishing an integrate lifelong educator training system. Second, the suggestion that you selected the disabled welfare institutions with disabilities continuing education obligations. Third, proposal a standard disabilities continuing education course selection. Fourth, the proposal for further study research methods and disciplines of continuing education disabilities.

치과위생사의 보수교육 실태 및 희망보수교육 내용 요구도 (Dental hygienist's status and demand of continuing education contents)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data that can help the development and quality management of effective continuing education programs by analyzing the status and demand of continuing education contents for dental hygienists. Methods: The questionnaire had 30 questions, which included 5 questions on general characteristics, 4 on continuing education status, 3 on online continuing education, and 18 on desired continuing education. The survey was conducted for the members attending continuing education programs in 2018. Results: The mean age of the participants was 30.08 years, with an average career of 8.19 years. The continuing education was highly recognized, through the homepage of the association (52.5%); as speakers for continuing education, dental hygienists in the field of specialization were preferred (45.8%). Additionally, the preferred frequency of programs was twice a year (45.7%). For promoting continuing education, the use of mobile phone letter was preferred (65.8%). Moreover, 92.9% of respondents were aware of online continuing education, 49.9% had experience in online continuing education, and 59.9% said that they will actively use smart devices in the future. The requirement for the contents of continuing education was the highest at 4.34 points for health insurance cost and the lowest at 2.75 points for liberal arts classes. Conclusions: To provide effective continuing education, it is necessary to develop a customized continuing education program considering various variables, such as career, work place, and career break experience, thus reflecting the systematic requirement of surveys according to each characteristic.

응급구조사의 보수교육에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 (A systematic review of continuing education for emergency medical technicians)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to combine the satisfaction survey results and suggestion for continuing education of the emergency medical technicians through a systematic review of continuing education of the emergency medical technicians. Methods: This review focused on previous studies published until 2020 that were associated with the continuing education of emergency medical technicians. We followed the guidelines set for each phase of the study and selected the 26 studies that met the selection criteria for the analysis. Results: The level of satisfaction with continuing education for emergency medical technicians was low. The most frequently suggested method for continuing education was patient case presentation. The answers to the desired training subjects of the continuing education program varied. Finally, studies on continuing education have not been published continuously. Conclusion: To enhance the satisfaction and competence of continuing education, we need to provide various programs that reflect the needs of emergency medical technicians attending maintenance training. In addition, various methods should be considered to improve the attendance rate for continuing education, and further investigations and research should be actively conducted on continuing education in the future.

119구급대원의 보수교육에 관한 연구 : 만족도 및 교육요구도를 중심으로 (A study of the continuing education of 119 paramedics: Focusing on the Satisfaction and Educational needs of continuing education)

  • 이 연구는 119구급대원을 대상으로 보수교육 만족도 및 요구도를 탐색하고 보수교육의 목적에 맞게 역량을 강화시킬 수 있는 보수교육프로그램 개발 및 운영을 모색하기 위해 시도되었다. 일반적 특성에 따른 보수교육 만족도는 연령, 자격, 임상 경력 유무에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 보수교육주제 요구도는 모든 직군에서 '전문외상 처치술'이 가장 높은 요구도를 보였으며 추가로 희망하는 주제는 정신질환자 관리, 다양한 현장 사례 중심 교육으로. 응급환자 처치 업무에 도움이 되는 실무적인 주제에 대한 선호도가 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 보수교육 대상자의 일반적 특성을 고려하여 다 각도로 보수교육 운영안을 개선하려는 노력이 필요할 것으로 여겨지며 보수교육 대상자의 요구를 반영해서 교육 운영 방법을 개선하고 보수교육 주제를 실무에 맞는 주제로 선정하여 보수교육의 질적향상을 도모해야 할 것이다.

A Study on the Refresher Training of Physical Therapist in Gwangju and Jeonnam

  • Purpose: The current study seeks to examine the continuing education of physical therapist in Gwangju, Jeonnam. Methods: A survey was conducted during the continuing education of physical therapist held in Gwangju in 2015 with 297 participants. The survey questionnaire consisted of 13 questions on characteristics of physical therapist, 7 questions on the level of satisfaction with continuing education, 11 questions regarding the need for continuing education, and 8 questions concerning how to improve continuing education. Results: As for the level of satisfaction with the content of continuing education, the survey results indicated that there were significant differences across respondents' age and career period. Regarding the level of satisfaction with the environment in which continuing education was provided; significant differences were observed across respondents' age, education, marital status, monthly pay, career period, and service period. Regarding the level of satisfaction with the expense in which continuing education was provided; significant differences were observed across respondents' sex, age, education, marital status, dependent family, monthly pay, career period, and position. In terms of the level of satisfaction with the operation method in which continuing education was carried out, there were significant differences across respondents' age, education, and career period. Conclusion: The survey found the level of satisfaction with continuing education to be average among physical therapist in Gwangju and Jeonnam. In addition, as for ways to take continuing education courses for those who have never taken it, online education was mentioned the most. Therefore, there is a need for advertising online continuing education.

치과기공사의 보수교육 실태와 면허신고 현황 및 발전을 위한 연구 (A study on the status of dental technicians' continuing education and licensing reporting status and development)

  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the status of dental technician's continuing education and licensing reporting and provide basic data that can aid in improving the operation of progressive continuing education and licensing reporting and development programs. Methods: This study included dental technicians nationwide who attended the 2023 Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference and responded to an online survey from July 21 to July 23, 2023. In total, 180 copies were analyzed. The reliability of satisfaction with continuing education demonstrated a Cronbach's α of 0.924. IBM SPSS Statistics version 21.0 (IBM) was used to statistically analyze the collected data. Results: Satisfaction with continuing education for dental technicians was 2.78, 2.81, 3.21, 2.96, and 2.87 for the number of lectures offered, composition of major fields, lecture content, instructor level, and overall satisfaction, respectively. The average satisfaction with continuing education was 2.93, which was lower than the average (3 points). The investigation revealed that overall improvement was required. Conclusion: Measures for those who have not completed continuing education must be implemented within the government's legal influence by actively using the license reporting system. Strengthening verification of completion of continuing education, improving autonomous disciplinary rights, diversifying the content and learning methods of continuing education, linking with the license reporting system, improving institutional postevaluation, and introducing related policies should be conducted when opening a dental laboratory.

치과기공사의 졸업 후 계속교육에 관한 조사 (Survey about continuing education after graduation of dental technician)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine after graduation of dental technology-do continuing education confirm attendance and expectation level. Methods: The subjects in this study were 151 dental technician in Seoul, Inchon, Gyeonggi and Chungcheongnam-do in province. A survey was conducted from April to May 2011, and the collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program. Results: Participation the continuing education 40.4%, do not attend the continuing education 59.6%. General characteristics of respondents according to education after graduation, participate the continuing education in career 5-10 years 54.1%. Do not attend the continuing education three-year graduation 90.6% is the most highly statistically significant survey showed significant differences(p<0.05). Through continuing education, four-point scale of satisfaction survey results, general average $3.00{\pm}0.65$, higher educational status will create more autonomy and authority in the work place $3.15{\pm}0.62$ was the highest. Conclusion: Expectation effect about continuing education and education effect after participating, the dental technician recognized that they felt pleasure and satisfaction through education.

Status and Needs of Continuing Education for Trauma Nursing

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to status and needs for continuing education for trauma hospital nurses in Korea. Methods: Thirty nurses from the seven level I trauma center hospitals or trauma treatment systems were randomly selected and surveyed. The survey was conducted from March 1 to May 31, 2017. Categorical data were analyzed with Pearson chi-square tests and Continuous variables were analyzed with ANOVA. Results: Only 86 out of 204 nurses had received continuing education (42.1%). The current status of continuing education programs, delivering institution (p<0.001), education method (p<0.001), education period (p=0.003), number of participants (p=0.007), and instructors (p=0.014) were also significantly different from trauma center to trauma center. There were 108 (52.9%) nurses who responded that continuing education programs were "needed" 92 (45.1%) and "very much needed 16 (7.8%). According to each trauma center's characteristics were significantly differences in the need for continuing education (p=0.089), subject selection method (p<0.001) and the number of continuing education sessions (p=0.043) depending on the hospital. Conclusions: It is necessary to consider differences between the hospitals to develop continuing education programs that reflect the needs of nurses, in order to improve the efficiency of and satisfaction with the educational programs.

학교도서관 전문인력의 계속교육 실태와 개선방안에 관한 연구 - 경기도 고양지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on Current Status of Continuing Education for Enhancing School Librarians' Expertise: Focusing on the Goyang-si in Gyeonggi-do)

  • 본 연구는 학교도서관 전담인력의 전문성 강화를 위한 계속교육에 대한 현황과 실태를 조사하고 계속교육의 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 경기도 고양지역 초 중 고등학교도서관에 근무하는 사서교사 및 사서 69명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 빈도분석 및 교차분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사서교사의 계속교육에 대한 관심과 참여 경험이 높다는 사실을 파악하였다. 둘째, 참여비중이 가장 높은 계속교육 유형은 단기연수 및 강습과정으로 나타났으며, 제공되고 있는 계속교육이 실무와의 연계성이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 관리자의 낮은 인식과 지역적 제약과 적합한 계속교육 프로그램의 부재가 계속교육의 방해요인으로 나타났다. 넷째, 근무시간 중과 방학 중의 계속교육을 선호하며, 다양한 주제의 계속교육 필요성이 강조되었다. 이를 통해 지속적이고 장기적인 계속교육, 계속교육을 독려하기 위한 정책지원, 전문성을 위한 계속교육 과정 개발, 관리자의 인식전환 및 계속교육에 대한 홍보가 필요함을 제안하였다.

국내·외 응급구조사의 보수교육프로그램 비교조사 (Comparison of Continuing Education Program for Emergency Medical Technician in Korea and Abroad)

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the operation of continuing education system and continuing education program for emergency medical technician in Korea, Japan and United States and develop reasonable operating scheme of continuing education and curriculum in order to provide the base data for the improvement of continuing education for the improved practice capability and its maintenance, Method: The overall review of continuing education for domestic 1st class emergency medical technician was performed and also the content of continuing education for Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic in the United States and Paramedics of Fire Department with the license for the paramedic in Japan, have been analyzed through literature, books, articles, agencies' data, laws, and internet date. Result: Hours for domestic continuing education was 4-8 hours and it was only 3-11% compared to 72 hours in the United States and 128 hours in the Japan. And with respect to the types and methods of programs, there were differences both in quantity and quality. Conclusion: As an education, providing and supplementing the changed content and technical information for the improvement of the capability and qualification of emergency medical technician, selection of education hours and various continuing education should be continuously and regularly provided and conducted. The introduction of various continuing education system and programs for this is considered to be required.
