  • With the developing of current multimedia broadcasting, user will be provided for lots of various content through the various channel and media. Content provider and consumer want the various service using content with the better quality which is fit to users' preference. For transmitting this content in the limited transmission channel capacity, it needs to transmit the highly compressed content. The content of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 enables the various content service that provides the lower size and the resonable quality, and Personalize(Targeting) service just provide the contents that user more wants and likes. This paper presents the study on the targeting service using compression of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 and the adaptation of Embedded Graphic application program using it.

A License Audit Model for Secure DRM Systems in IP-based Environments

  • Communication devices aim to provide a multimedia service without spatial or temporal limitations in an IP-based environment. However, it is incapable of allowing for fair use by consumers who legally buy content, and damages provider contents through the indiscriminate distribution and use of illegal contents. The DRM system that emerged to solve this problem cannot protect licenses stored on communication devices, and manage licenses by redistribution. This paper proposes a license audit model, which checks for illegal access, modification and redistribution, and reports alert logs to the server.

  • If the service provider provides mobile service with mobile switching centers that use different handoff message format, the soft-handoff between mobile switching centers is not available and the hard-handoff scheme is used instead. When this occurs, calls are often disconnected or there is an interruption of service. This can be very annoying to a mobile user. We propose the handoff subsystem of the ATM switch which provides the soft-handoff between wireless cells under the control of different MSCs. The proposed handoff subsystem transforms the handoff message format of the source MSC to that of the destination MSC. It also provides efficient routing scheme that distributes handoff packets to balance the traffic load.

  • Currently, VoIP service related companies have different telephone number system according to the problem of VoIP which Have no unique number system, and they develop/use different number bits, shortening button, and so on. In this paper, for solving this problem, we analyzed the standadization trend of ITU-T and IEIE, and reserched domestic trend of VoIP number system standardization trend and use case of number system of VoIP services. According to this, we proposes three number allocation plan that satisfies the globe trend, simpleness of number allocation, and VoIP service provider's actual conditions.

  • SMARTPHONE has become a big issue in South Korea and worldwide. In this work we will propose techniques that display web contents according to user preference and service provider' interest for small screen devices such as smartphones. A number of works and research have been conducted to generate suitable web contents for small screen devices. But such previous attempts have not failed to reflect the interest of users and service providers. Our proposed system simulates the Google Android Emulator, which is a free and well known open source.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 콘텐츠의 저작권 보호를 위해 인터넷상의 웹하드나 P2P와 같은 폐쇄형 OSP(Online Service Provider)에서 불법으로 유통되고 있는 콘텐츠를 자동으로 검색하고 다운로드 하는 방법을 제안한다. OSP의 웹 페이지를 파싱(Parsing)하여 태그(Tag)와 유일한(Unique)한 속성 정보를 이용하여 필요로 하는 콘텐츠의 게시 정보를 얻거나 액션을 취해 웹 페이지를 제어한다. 또한, IE(Internet Explorer) 이벤트(Event) 함수에 포함되는 URL 정보를 이용하여 각 제어 단계의 성공 여부를 판단한다. 윈도우 기반 어플리케이션은 해당 윈도우의 컨트롤ID 및 기타 윈도우 속성 정보를 이용하여 제어한다.

  • On global interconnectivity, the activation of real-time and worldwide contents will permeate and impact all aspects of day-to-day life well throughout this century. In managing contents and models, we too will see the impact of this rapidly changing environment. The real time availability of contents pertaining to a companys supply chain through means of the Internet and mobile networks(e.g., the IMT-2000) will necessitate a change in decision-making processes for effective management of contents and models. To increase the availability of many contents and models, a management system should have adaptive function in proving adequate content and model for companies. In the respect of management of contents and models, this paper discusses a production mechanism of meta-knowledge for effectively managing contents and models. Through two experimental analyses with the production mechanism, it is proven that the system enabling adaptive contents and models provision goes beyond existing ones in view of efficiency of management of contents and models in the wire and wireless networks.

  • In this paper, we proposed the DRM(Digital Rights Management) system that allows to redistribute contents safely based on home domain. This DRM system for contents redistribution within home domain can solve the restriction and the inconvenience occuring in using contents and at the same time protect the right of contents producer and provider as well. To play contents using home digital device, we must build home domain for contents redistribution among devices. That is to say, devices that are registered with home domain can redistribute contents to other devices at same domain. The domain must send redistribution-specifics to DRM server, so that user can pay reasonable amount for using the contents. Futhermore, by restricting within domain the right of contents redistribution, one can strictly prohibit the illegal redistribution.

  • Tour industry has been growing with increasing of people leisure time quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Especially, region tourist industry shows rapid growth because of the development of transportation and communication. Tourist contents that representing the region have been developing briskly. However there are many nominal tourist contents have just region differentiation with same attribute and composition. It has to be consider about tourist first not a contents provider or a developer. To be memorable tourist contents and to connect to consumption, understanding about tourist is needed. So 'Experience' will be standards when tourist contents is planned. In that sense, experience 4factors from Experience Economy and Challenge-skill model from Flow will be frames for giving shape to develop tourist contents. Experience 4factors from Experience Economy suggests 4factors for the superb enjoyment to tourists, and Challenge-skill model from Flow proposes balanced contents for understanding tourists. They will contribute to suggest planning frames for sustainable tourist contents and it lead to tourists' reinstation.

  • Recently, new interests on digital contents and UCC(User Created Content)s are growing fast through the development of internet. However, there have been many side-effects on those interests. The representative problems are perversing illegal copies and the distributions for personal valuable digital contents to unauthorized anonymous users. These decrease creation of good digital contents by interfering with the growth of information technology industry and the content provider#s creative will. To resolve these problems, in the paper, we propose a novel auction system for multimedia contents and bidding processes. The system applies the concept of used goods onto digital contents. Especially, the auction system is based on mobile environment. Finally, the performance evaluation shows that those main auction process algorithms indicate the time complexity of logarithm scale for insertions and searches. Therefore, the performance of the system is not significantly influenced by the amount of contents even though the volume of contents in the system is increasing.
