The dependence of the microwave dielectric properties of the glass-ceramic composite $0.9CaMgSi_2O_6-0.1MgSiO_3$ on the crystallization behaviour was investigated as functions of the $TiO_2$ content and heat-treatment temperature. The crystallization behaviour of the specimens was evaluated via a combination of the Rietveld and reference-intensity ratio methods. For specimens with a $TiO_2$ content of up to 1 wt.%, a monoclinic diopside phase was formed, whereas a secondary $TiO_2$ phase was formed with further increases in the $TiO_2$ content. The quality factor (Qf) of the specimens was strongly dependent on the degree of crystallization. The highest Qf value was obtained with a $TiO_2$ content of 0.5 wt.%, which was improved by increasing the heat-treatment temperature. The dielectric constant (K) was affected by the size of the crystallites and the $TiO_2$ content. The temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency (TCF) was nearly constant for all of the specimens, regardless of the $TiO_2$ content or heattreatment temperature.

With highly oxygenated fuels the smoke emissions decreased sharply and linearly with increases in the fuel oxygen content and entirely disappeared at an oxygen content of $38wt-\%$ even at stoichiometric mixture conditions The NOx also decreased monotonically with increases in oxygen content. and thermal efficiency slightly improved because of a reduction in cooling loss and improvement in the degree of constant volume combustion. The mechanisms of the significant reductions in emissions and improvement in engine performance were analyzed with a bottom view type DI diesel engine. Together with direct flame images, flame images were taken through an optical fetter passing only two wavelengths for use in 2-D two-color analysis. The results showed that luminous flame decreased significantly with increases in oxygen content and was not detected for neat dimethoxy methane(DMM). The decrease in flame luminosity with highly oxygenated fuels corresponds with decreases in soot and cooling losses, including those due to heat radiation. The 2-D two-color flame analysis indicated that the high temperature flame and high KL factor areas apparently decreased with increasing fuel oxygen content. These results correspond strongly with decreases in NOx. smoke. and cooling loss with increases in oxygen content.
The effect of varietal differences of rice starches by amylose content and gel consistency on the retrogradation behavior was studied. The gel consistency test, which is designed to detect differences in the texture of cooked rice of varieties that have a similar amylose content, had been turned out to be useful in this study. Both Suwon 232 and San Li Cun had higher amylose content, but were greatly different in gel consistency values. The results showed that setback viscosity of rice flour measured in a Brabender amylograph was significantly affected by amylose content as well as gel consistency. Increase in the rigidity modulus (E) of rice starch gels during storage determined by using Texture analyzer indicated that amylose content was an important factor in terms of hardness development The study of Avrami kinetics of retrogradation showed that time constant of rice starch gels was influenced by amylose content, but not by gel consistency.
Advances of telecommunication technology bring various changes in journalism field. Reporters started to gather, edit, and transmit content to main server in media company using hand-held smart media and notebook computer. This paper tried to testify valid bit-rate of visual news content using LTE network and mobile phone. Field news like natural disasters need real-time transmission of video content. But broadcasting company normally use heavy ENG system and transmission satellite trucks. We prepared and experimented different types of visual content that has different bit-rates. Transmission tool was LU-60HD mobile system of LiveU Corporation. Transmission result shows that bit-rate of 2Mbps news content is not suitable for broadcasting and VBR (Variable Bit Rate) transmission has better definition quality than CBR (Constant Bit Rate) method. Three different bit-rate of VBR transmission result shows that 5Mbps clip has better quality than 1Mbps and 3Mbps. The higher bit-rate, the better video quality. But if the content has much movements, that cause delay and abnormal quality of video. So optimizing the balance between stability of signal and quality of bit-rate is crucial factor of real-time broadcasting news gathering business.
Equilibrium moisture content of rough rice is an important factor because it has a close relationship to storage and drying problems. Determination of the EMC for 10 different varieties of rough rice were made in atmospheres of various constant humidities at three different constant temperatures. In addition , some physical properties were also measured for two different levels of moisture content of the samples. The results may be summarized as follows ; 1. Several physical properties of ten different varieties of rough were measured. Significant difference of the properties was appeared between the varieties in which the difference was pronounced in the dimensions of the varieties. Also, all the dimensions were increased as the moisture content of the rough rice was increased from 14 % to 16%. 2. Significant difference of the equilibrium moisture content was also appeared between some of the varieties in which the equilibrium moisture content of Josaengtongil and Minehikari was 24.26% while that of the others was in the range between 18 to 19% at the conditions of relative humidity of 84% and temperature of 47℃ , respectively. Similar pattern was also observed in other conditions. 3. The values of the constant of Henderson's equation were calculated from the data obtained but they are believed to be useful until more precise and complete data are obtained. There was a good agreement between the calculated and experimental results.

This study is to investigate the effect of an aromatic content in high cetane number (CN) fuels on exhaust emissions under low temperature diesel combustion, which expands the previous research about an aromatic content in low CN fuels. A 1.9L common rail direct injection diesel engine was run at 1500 rpm 2.6 bar BMEP with four fuel sets: an aromatic content of 20% (A20) or 45% (A45) with CN30, i.e. low CN fuels, and CN55, i.e. high CN fuels. Given experimental conditions, the trend of exhaust emissions in high CN fuels was inconsistent with that of low CN fuels which all produced nearly zero smoke but higher NOx for the high aromatic fuel (CN30-A45). For high CN fuels, however, the low aromatic fuel (CN55-A20) produced lower smoke than the high one (CN55-A45) while NOx was similar to each other. The cause of this discrepancy between high CN and low CN fuels is unclear whether it comes from that CN may be a dominant factor to govern exhaust emissions rather than an aromatic content or that the actual CN value of CN55-A45 is lower than CN55-A20. More decent fuel matrix should be prepared and further experiments are needed to confirm it.

For memory-based big data storage, using hybrid memories consisting of both dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and non-volatile random-access memories (NVRAMs) is a promising approach. DRAM supports low access time but consumes much energy, whereas NVRAMs have high access time but do not need energy to retain data. In this paper, we propose a new data migration method that can dynamically move data pages into the most appropriate memories to exploit their strengths and alleviate their weaknesses. We predict the access frequency values of the data pages and then measure comprehensively the gains and costs of each placement choice based on these predicted values. Next, we compute the potential benefits of all choices for each candidate page to make page migration decisions. Extensive experiments show that our method improves over the existing ones the access response time by as much as a factor of four, with similar rates of energy consumption.

The cemented sand and gravel (CSG) method is a construction technique that adds cement and water to rock-like materials, such as rivered gravel or excavation muck which that can be obtained easily at areas adjacent to dam sites. This study was performed to evaluate the unconfined compressive strength properties and freezing and thawing resistance of CSG materials with unit cement content. The three types of CSG-80, CSG-100 and CSG-120 with cement content were designed to evaluate the optimum water content, dry density, strength, stress-strain, micro structure and durability factor. As the results, the optimum water content ratio with cement content showed almost similar tendency, and the unconfined compressive strength and dry density increased as cement content increases. The strength ratio of 7 days for 28 days were in the range of 55~61 % and the strain ratio in stress-strain curve were in the range of 0.8~1.6 % nearby maximum strength in 28 days. It is expected that this study will contribute to increasing application of CSG method as well as to increasing the utilizing of CSG materials as a environmentally friendly CSG method.

The solute carbon content in ferrite is one of the important factors to obtain good formability in low carbon steels. Although most of the carbons are consumed by the formation of grain boundary cementite during coiling after hot-rolling, the carbon content after coiling is normally observed much more than that of equilibrium. In this study, a classical nucleation and growth model is used to simulate the precipitation kinetics of the grain boundary cementite from coiling temperature (CT) to room temperature (RT). The predicted precipitation behaviors depending on the initial carbon content and the cooling rate are compared with the reported. As a result, the lateral growth of thickening of cementite is a major factor for the sluggish reaction of grain boundary cementite. The reduction of solute carbon content after coiling is divided into three regions: a) increase due to no cementite precipitation, b) decrease due to the fast length-wise growth of cementite, c) increase due to the slow thickness-wise growth of cementite.

Loss of fracture resistance due to thermal aging degradation is a potential limiting factor affecting the long-term (80+ year) viability of nuclear reactors. To evaluate the effects of decades of aging in a practical time frame, accelerated aging must be employed prior to mechanical characterization. In this study, a variety of chemically and microstructurally diverse austenitic stainless steels were aged between 0 and 30,000 h at 290-400 ℃ to simulate 0-80+ years of operation. Over 600 static fracture tests were carried out between room temperature and 400 ℃. The results presented include selected J-R curves of each material as well as K0.2mm fracture toughness values mapped against aging condition and ferrite content in order to display any trends related to those variables. Results regarding differences in processing, optimal ferrite content under light aging, and the relationship between test temperature and Mo content were observed. Overall, it was found that both the ferrite volume fraction and molybdenum content had significant effects on thermal degradation susceptibility. It was determined that materials with >25 vol% ferrite are unlikely to be viable for 80 years, particularly if they have high Mo contents (>2 wt%), while materials less than 15 vol% ferrite are viable regardless of Mo content.
