고속 컨테이너 하역시스템의 하역방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Loading/Unloading Methods for High-Speed Container Loading/Unloading System)

  • Recently several researches of high speed container ship and loading system are mainly accomplished in U.S.A. and Japan. Its shipping service is not realized but it is realized in near future. To effective use of the feature and efficiency of them, quay, loading/unloading. yard operation system, port management system and connection transport system must be well integrated and operated. Specially, loading /unloading speed of container crane is important for making effective use of them. To speed up loading/unloading system, RO-RO and LO-LO methods that are mostly exclusive system are studied on the container crane with special structure and mechanism to handle individual container or bundle of containers. In this paper these methods are shown. When new high speed loading system of container is desighed, the realistic constrains must be considered.

신용장 거래에 있어서 FOB, CIF조건의 적용상 문제점에 관한 연구 - Incoterms® 2010을 중심으로 - (The Study on the Practical Problems of FOB and CIF terms under L/C transaction - with Special Emphasis on Incoterms® 2010 -)

  • This article aims at analysing the practical problems of FOB and CIF terms relating to Incoterms$^{(R)}$2010 in case of L/C transactions and presenting the defending measures against them. According to Incoterms$^{(R)}$2010, FOB and CIF terms are to be used only for sea or inland waterway transport and require the seller deliver the goods on board the vessel nominated by the buyer at named port of shipment. So if FOB and CIF terms will be used in sea transport under L/C transaction, the seller should ship the goods on the nominated vessel and present the shipping document indicating "on board vessel" to the issuing bank but the parties agree to present the received bill of lading according to special condition on L/C which is" received bill of lading are acceptable". In practical transaction, FOB and CIF terms are usually used in aircraft cargo, container cargo or multimodal transport. these facts are a violation of Incoterms. Incoterms$^{(R)}$2010 which regulated that FOB and CIF terms may not be appropriate where goods are handed over the carrier before they are on board the vessel for example goods in container. These transactions are a temporary expedient and breach of Incoterms in the international trade which must be corrected as soon as possible.

  • 철도-공로 복합화물운송은 최초출발지에서 최종목적지까지 화물을 수송함에 있어 철도와 화물자동차를 연계하는 운송시스템이다. 철도-공로 복합화물운송에서 공로(화물자동차)의 역할은 집배송 기능으로 전체 운송과정의 경쟁력에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 철도-공로 복합화물운송의 대표적 화물인 컨테이너를 대상으로 집배송 부분의 효율성을 제고시키기 위한 운송전략을 개발하고 평가하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 컨테이너트럭의 운송거리 최소화를 지향하는 전략과 고객에서의 대기시간 최소화를 주목적으로 하는 전략 등 2개의 집배송 개선전략이 개발되었다. 개발된 전략들은 파리수도권의 실제 집배송망에 적용되어 그 효율성이 비교, 평가되었다. 기존 집배송방식과의 시뮬레이션 비교결과 제안된 전략들이 다양한 성과지표에서 상당히 효율적임이 입증되었다.

호남권 철도 컨테이너 수송의 활성화 방안 연구 (A Study on the Strategies for Promoting Rail Container Transportation in Honam Area)

  • Honam area is one of the under-industrial areas in Korea and because of this it has low weight in the total container transportation in Korea. Also the railway distance from honam area to the main container ports like Busan port and Gwangyang port is so short that the portion of rail container transportation occupies about 10 percent in total container transportation amount in Honam area. But on the contrary of those situations, 1st step Jangsung inland container depot (ICD) was finished as one of the main logistics facilities in Korea and 2nd Jangsung inland container depot is under construction. To promote rail container transportation in Honam area which has shortage of container transportation demand, it is necessary to give adequate transport service to the client. So, this research studied some methods for promoting rail container transportation in Honam area. The subject of survey is freight agent and survey items are selected to find the present situation of rail container transportation in Honam area. And from the survey results various strategies will be suggested to promote rail container transportation in Honam area.

An Intelligent System for Recognition of Identifiers from Shipping Container Images using Fuzzy Binarization and Enhanced Hybrid Network

  • The automatic recognition of transport containers using image processing is very hard because of the irregular size and position of identifiers, diverse colors of background and identifiers, and the impaired shapes of identifiers caused by container damages and the bent surface of container, etc. In this paper we propose and evaluate a novel recognition algorithm for container identifiers that effectively overcomes these difficulties and recognizes identifiers from container images captured in various environments. The proposed algorithm, first, extracts the area containing only the identifiers from container images by using CANNY masking and bi-directional histogram method. The extracted identifier area is binarized by the fuzzy binarization method newly proposed in this paper. Then a contour tracking method is applied to the binarized area in order to extract the container identifiers which are the target for recognition. In this paper we also propose and apply a novel ART2-based hybrid network for recognition of container identifiers. The results of experiment for performance evaluation on the real container images showed that the proposed algorithm performs better for extraction and recognition of container identifiers compared to conventional algorithms.

Recognition of Identifiers from Shipping Container Image by Using Fuzzy Binarization and ART2-based RBF Network

The extracted identifier area is binarized by the fuzzy binarization method newly proposed in this paper and by applying contour tracking method to the binarized area, container identifiers which are targets of recognition are extracted. We proposed and applied the ART2-based RBF network for recognition of container identifiers. The results of experiment for performance evaluation on the real container images showed that the proposed algorithm has more improved performance in the extraction and recognition of container identifiers than the previous algorithms.

우리나라 철도컨테이너화물 수송서비스 평가와 모달시프트 가능성에 관한 검토 (A study on the Evaluations of Rail Container Transport and Possibilities for Modal shift in Korea Railway)

  • 본 연구는 화물수송을 둘러싼 사회적 경제적 환경변화 속에서 철도물류의 활성화가 시대적 과제가 되고 있는 시점에서 철도로의 모달시프트가 기대되는 철도컨테이너수송에 주목하여 화주, 복합운송업체, 운영자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 철도의 미용현황, 이용확대를 위한 개선사항, 환경문제에 대한 대응 상황을 분석함으로써 철도물류서비스의 생산성 향상을 위한 개선방안, 나아가 국가정책과의 공동보조를 통한 철도화물수송으로의 모달시프트 가능성에 대하여 검토하였다.

  • 국내 화물운송의 80% 이상을 분담하고 있는 공로중심의 내륙운송체계는 환경문제를 비롯한 다양한 사회적 비용을 야기시키고 있어 다른 운송수단으로의 화물전환이 요구되고 있다. 특히 변화하는 국제 물류환경을 고려해볼 때, 철도는 지속가능한 대안적 운송수단임에 분명하며, 도로화물을 철도로 전환시키고 새로운 수요를 창출하여 내륙철도의 경쟁력을 확보하는 일은 미래를 예측하고 대비하기 위한 필수적 선행과제가 되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 내륙철도 이용 확대를 위하여 컨테이너화주를 대상으로 컨테이너 화물을 철도로 유인하기 위한 핵심 요인을 밝히고자 설문조사를 실시하고 SmartPLS구조방정식모델링 분석기법을 통하여 결과를 도출하였다.

  • The Off-Dock Container Yard (ODCY)s in Pusan are located at 48 different places, and it causes serious problems in the container cargo transport and inland traffic near Pusan district. Hence, the analysis and evaluation of ODCY operation is important. Therefore, this paper proposes a simulation model which evaluates the operation of ODCY. It also proposes a simulation model using an object-oriented approach which includes the system is modeled with object-class hierarchy and SIMPLE++, an object-oriented simulation software, is used to develop the model.

  • A satellite shipping container must afford the satellite a relatively benign thermal, vibration, and particle environment that is oblivious to the extreme temperatures, sand, dust, vibrations, and shock that can accompany the transportation. Korea Aerospace Research Institute has developed a new shipping container system that will be used to transport KOMPSAT-2(Korea Multi-Purpose SATellite) from Tae-jon to launch site. To verify the dynamic characteristics, a Finite Element Analysis model and a 1/3 scaled mockup of the container were developed before the fabrication of real one. After fabrication of real shipping container, experimental modal analysis was peformed to identify the dynamic characteristics. This paper presents a series of development process of KOMPSAT-2 shipping container.
