고속열차 주행 시 동적하중을 받는 철도구조물의 진동 특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of Railway Structures under High-Speed Train Loading)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속열차-차륜-레일-지반부의 상호작용에 따른 지반부의 변위장과 가속도장의 분포양상을 연구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 고속열차 주행을 실제 차륜으로 모형하여 차륜-레일간의 연직접촉과 사행동에 의한 횡접촉을 모사하고, 이동질량해석을 근간으로 하였다. 이 때 지반부는 Modified Drucker-Prager 모델을 이용하여 상면 지반부의 비선형 거동을 부여하고 이에 따른 변위, 가속도의 변화를 탄성지반의 거동과 비탄성지반의 거동을 상호 비교하였다. 이를 통해, 실제 지반거동과 가까운 변위와 가속도 범위를 예측하고자 하였다. 이 때 지반부의 von-Mises응력과 등가소성변형도를 검토하고, 각 파괴면에서의 등가소성변형도, 전체 체적변형도 등을 검토하였다. 이동질량을 이용한 차륜-레일 접촉부의 수직응력, 횡압, 종방향 구속압 등의 시간이력에 따른 응력변화도 검토하였다. 비선형 지반모델의 경우 탄성 지반모델에 비해 열차 주행에 따른 변위 차이는 크지 않는 반면에 가속도의 경우는 큰 감소를 발생시키는 것으로 나타났다.

측두하악관절내장 환자의 진단분류에 따른 하악운동 특성의 분석 (Analysis of the Mandibular Movements in Patients with Internal Derangement of the Temporomandibular Joint According to Diagnostic Subgroups)

  • The purpose of this study was analyse the mandibular movements in patients with internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint according to diagnostic subgroups. The author classified patients with internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint into 4 diagnostic subgroups by means of the magnet resonance imagings, and evaluated the clinical signs and the mandibular movements with Mandibular Kinesiograph(MKG) in each subgroups. The mandibular movements, measured in this study, were the types of movement in frontal and sagittal plane, velocities in opening and closing movement, and the opening and closing movement, and the opening and closing velocity pattern. The data were compared between the 5 groups including the normal group. The results were as follows : 1. Pain was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group than in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group. Sound of joint was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and limitation of mandibular opening movement was more frequently observed in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group. Duration of the anterior disc displacement without reduction group was significantly short compared to that of the anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and duration of the unilateral anterior disc displacement without reduction group was shortest in the experimental group. The frequency of Angle's classifications had not significant correlations between the experimental groups. 2. Active and passive range of the opening movement, maximum protrusive movement, maximum lateral movement toward left side were significantly decreased in the experimental groups compared to the control group, but there was no significant difference in the range of the maximum lateral movement toward right side between the control and experiment groups. In unilateral anterior disc displacement without reduction group, the range of maximum lateral movement toward unaffected side was no significant difference in the range of the maximum lateral movement between toward affected side and toward unaffected side. 3. Maximum opening velocity, maximum closing velocity, average opening velocity, average closing velocity and maximum velocity of terminal tooth contact were significantly decreased in the experimental groups compared to control group. There was no significant difference in maximum opening velocity and maximum velocity of Terminal tooth contact between the subgroups of the experimental group each other, but there was significant difference in maximum closing velocity, average opening velocity and average closing velocity between the subgroups each other. 4. In the frontal plane of the MKG, the frequency of complex deviation type(F-2)pattern was significantly increased in the anterior disc displacement with out reduction group compared to the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and the control group. In the sagittal plane, the frequency of coincident type(S-1)was decreased in the same group. 5. In the maximum opening velocity pattern, the frequency of no-peak type (OV-3)in the unilateral anterior disc displacement with reduction group was significantly increased compared to the control group. The frequency of 1-peak type (OV-1) and 2-peak type (OV-2) was decreased in the anterior disc displacement with out reduction group, but the frequency of no-peak type (OV-3)was increased in the same group. In the maximum closing velocity pattern, the frequency of no-peak type (CV-3) was significantly increased in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group. Compared to the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and the control group. The frequency of 1-peak type (CV-1) and 2-peak type (CV-2) in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group was decreased than that in the control group.

  • The electronic speckle pattern interferometer (ESPI) has been applied to many technical problems such as deformation and displacement measurement, strain visualization and surface roughness monitoring. In this study, we used an ESPI system based on the dual beam speckle interferometer method in order to measure in-plane displacement and vibration mode using the ESIP technique. This research was carried out for the purpose of applying the vibration analysis method employing Electro-Optic holographic interference technique to the vibration analysis of uniform rectangular cantilevers plate(SS400,STS304) with cantilevers span to breadth ratio of 150 by 75. And thickness of 1mm and 0.8mm respectively. We improved the ESPI technique in order to obtain the distribution of displacement component resolved in one direction through a CCD camera combined with an image processing system. To certify and to assess the accuracy in measuring by this ESPI, the results obtained with the speckle method and vibration mode analysis are to be compared with those results by Warbuton's Theoretical expression and vibration made in FEM analysis.

  • Recently, the mechanical structures applied to many industrial products, especially in electronic products, appear to be miniaturized and complicated. This trend makes it difficult to analyze the stress distribution of those mechanical structures and generates new challenges for precise measurement of strain. Therefore, generally most of those cases largely depend on the finite element analysis. But the development of optical metrology which has the capability of non-contact, full-field and precise measurement makes it possible to solve these measuring problems. Among the optical measurement techniques, the electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) has been developed and considered as one of the most useful tools for measuring displacement and deformation. But the shortage of recognition and difficulties of measurement have limited its industrial applications in spite of its excellent capabilities. Therefore in this study, in order to enhance the industrial application of ESPI, the measurement of in-plane displacement of mechanical structure with ESPI, which is applied to washing machine and cannot be measured by strain gauges, was performed. And the verification of validity of FEA results was also done.

Mechanical properties of reinforced-concrete rocking columns based on damage resistance

  • The objective of seismic resilience is to maintain or rapidly restore the function of a building after an earthquake. An efficient tilt mechanism at the member level is crucial for the restoration of the main structure function; however, the damage resistance of the members should be the main focus. In this study, through a comparison with the classical Flamant theory of local loading in the elastic half-space, an elastomechanical solution for the axial-stress distribution of a reinforced-concrete (RC) rocking column was derived. Furthermore, assuming that the lateral displacement of the rocking column is determined by the contact surface rotation angle of the column end and bending and shear deformation of the column body, the load-lateral displacement mechanical model of the RC rocking column was established and validated through a comparison with finite-element simulation results. The axial-compression ratio and column-end strength were analyzed, and the results indicated that on the premise of column damage resistance, simply increasing the axial-compression ratio increases the lateral loading capacity of the column but is ineffective for improving the lateral-displacement capacity. The lateral loading and displacement of the column are significantly improved as the strength of the column end material increases. Therefore, it is feasible to improve the working performance of RC rocking columns via local reinforcement of the column end.

단일 유압 Cell로 제어되는 CPB(Cold Pad Batch)용 패더롤의 접촉압력 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Contact Pressure for CPB (Cold Pad Batch) Padder Roll Controlled by Hydraulic Single Cell)

  • To make uniform pressure distributed over the contact surface was necessary to cold pad batch dyeing machine. In this study, to confirm characteristic of flexibility and the contact pressure distribution through experimental analysis of padder roll were controlled by hydraulic cell. When there were no load pressure only inner pressure, the value of displacement in the center of padder were greater than the end of the padder. The results of this study showed that the padder had the optimum value of inner pressure for uniform contact pressure distribution. Measuring the contact pressure in a padder system were driven by using a pre-scale film. Uniform contact pressure distribution of cell padder were a linearly with load pressure and inner pressure. When the load pressure was less than 8 tons, the inner pressure for the uniform contact pressure was 1~4 bar. The padder roll performance curves proposed in this study were available for practical production environments and various roll designs.

  • Machine parts and structures of a change in the displacement and strain can be evaluated safety is one of the important factors. Typically the strain gauge has been employed to measure the displacement and strain. However, this contact-type measurement method has disadvantages that are not measured under condition of specific object shape, surface roughness and temperature. In particularly, 3 point bending and 4 point bending test not use strain gauge. So its test used cross head displacement and deflect meter. Digital Image Correlation measurement methods have many advantages. It is non contact-type measurement method to measure the object displacements and strain. In addition, it is possible to measure the Map of full field displacements and strain. In this paper, measured the 3 point bending deflection using the Digital Image Correlation methods. In order to secure the reliability, Digital Image Correlation method and universal test machine were compared.

  • 본 연구는 선행연구의 결과를 바탕으로 cMUT를 개발하여 그 특성을 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 미세 반도체 제작공정을 적용하여 cMUT를 제작하여 단면특성을 측정하여 분석하였다. 제작된 cMUT의 미소 진동 막의 변위를 측정할 수 있는 마이켈슨 위상변조 간섭계를 구성하여 측정결과와 이론적인 해석결과와 비교하였다. cMUT의 초음파 특성을 분석하기 위하여 송수신 시스템을 구성하였다 비접촉 방법으로 cMUT에 의해 발생되는 초음파 신호를 수신하여 수신파형의 특성을 분석한 결과 양호한 주파수 특성을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 cMUT는 향후 비접촉식 초음파 응용분야에 다양하게 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

Development and testing of a composite system for bridge health monitoring utilising computer vision and deep learning

  • Globally road transport networks are subjected to continuous levels of stress from increasing loading and environmental effects. As the most popular mean of transport in the UK the condition of this civil infrastructure is a key indicator of economic growth and productivity. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems can provide a valuable insight to the true condition of our aging infrastructure. In particular, monitoring of the displacement of a bridge structure under live loading can provide an accurate descriptor of bridge condition. In the past B-WIM systems have been used to collect traffic data and hence provide an indicator of bridge condition, however the use of such systems can be restricted by bridge type, assess issues and cost limitations. This research provides a non-contact low cost AI based solution for vehicle classification and associated bridge displacement using computer vision methods. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been adapted to develop the QUBYOLO vehicle classification method from recorded traffic images. This vehicle classification was then accurately related to the corresponding bridge response obtained under live loading using non-contact methods. The successful identification of multiple vehicle types during field testing has shown that QUBYOLO is suitable for the fine-grained vehicle classification required to identify applied load to a bridge structure. The process of displacement analysis and vehicle classification for the purposes of load identification which was used in this research adds to the body of knowledge on the monitoring of existing bridge structures, particularly long span bridges, and establishes the significant potential of computer vision and Deep Learning to provide dependable results on the real response of our infrastructure to existing and potential increased loading.

외부하중을 받는 선형 롤러베어링의 LM 블록 변형을 고려한 변위 모델링 (Modeling of Displacement of Linear Roller Bearing Subjected to External Forces Considering LM Block Deformation)

  • 선형 롤러베어링은 하중이 크고 정밀성이 요구되는 이송장치를 지지하기 위해 광범위하게 사용되는 기계요소이다. 본 논문에서는 외력을 받는 선형 롤러베어링의 변위를 계산하기 위한 새로운 모델링 방법을 제시하였다. 먼저 LM 블록을 강체로 가정하여 롤러와 LM 블록의 지배방정식을 유도하였고 Newton-Raphson법을 이용해 계산하였다. 롤러와 레이스 사이의 접촉하중은 롤러의 형상을 고려하여 슬라이싱 기법을 이용하여 계산하였다. 강체 LM 블록 모델에 의해 계산된 접촉하중을 활용하여 LM 블록의 구조적 변형을 유한요소 모델로부터 계산하였다. 최종적인 변위는 강체 LM 블록을 가정한 모델로부터 계산된 변위와 LM 블록 구조해석 결과를 조합하여 도출하였다. 제안된 방법에 의한 결과와 베어링 제작 업체 프로그램 결과와의 비교를 통해 제안된 방법을 검증하였다.
