  • This study is about online purchases of foods that have been reluctant to deal with distribution processes and reliability issues. We find out that attributes of the online food market affects behavior intention and whether it differs according to consumption tendency. A survey was conducted on consumers who had ever purchased food online for hypothesis testing. Reliability and feasibility were reviewed for the collected data and the hypothesis was verified through structural equation model analysis. While product diversity, product information and customer service factors of the online food market significantly affect behavior intention, price is not. We identified differences in the impact of behavior intention on consumption tendencies. For the Gaseongbi group, only the product information factors have significant effect on behavior, and for the Gasimbi group, the price and customer service factors have a significant effect on behavior intention. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications for marketers to study various marketing method based on consumer tendencies.

In order to understand behavior of Chinese consumers, it is critical to explore their lifestyles and its effects on their purchase behavior. For attaining this goal, our research classifies Chinese consumer lifestyles related to cosmetics, into four types: brand oriented, price sensitive, rational consumption, and impulse buying. The research further analyzes the effects of consumer lifestyles on perceived value, satisfaction, and purchase intention in each case of skin care cosmetics and make-up cosmetics. Significant difference are found in perceived value, satisfaction, and purchase intention of skin care cosmetics exists between brand-oriented type and rational consumption type. This is also the case between rational consumption type and impulse buying type. Purchase intention is only found to be different between rational consumption type and price sensitive type. In case of make-up cosmetics, significant differences in perceived value, satisfaction, and purchase intention in the pairs of brand-oriented type and rational consumption type, rational consumption type and impulse buying type, and rational consumption type and price sensitive type. This implies rational consumption type should be more appropriate target consumers in the Chinese cosmetics market.

  • This study aims to examine the effects of consumption values on digital convergence products buying behavior. Especially, this study examines the nature of consumption values that differentiate incremental innovation products from radical innovation product. We first categorize the convergence products into incremental innovation products and radical innovation products based on the degree of innovation, and then study the differences of consumption values of each product group. The empirical research is conducted on the premise that the consumer's value can play an important role in the process of selecting convergence product types. Although some factors related to function value has been accounted much of, various consumer values have not been studied in the context of convergence product consumption behavior. This research assumes that consumer choice behavior is a function of multiple consumption values such as functional value, social value, emotional value, and epistemic value. The result shows that consumption values of digital convergence products are made up of 4 consumption values-emotional, epistemic, social and functional values. Also, these consumption values affect the purchase intention of consumers. Purchase intention of radical innovation convergence products is affected by emotional value, epistemic value, and functional values. Purchase intention of incremental innovation convergence products is affected only by functional value. Demographic variables such as sex, age and income don't have influence on purchase intention. Our findings suggest that choice behavior of digital convergence product is influenced by several consumption values. Managerially, our result emphasize that convergence products must satisfy the consumption values that consumers are seeking in order to be successful in the market. the theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed as well.

  • Fast food is popular among children and adolescents; however, its consumption has often been associated with negative impacts on nutrition and health. This study examined current fast food consumption status among middle school students and explored factors influencing fast food consumption by applying Theory of Planned Behavior. A total of 354 (52.5% boys) students were recruited from a middle school. The subjects completed a pre-tested questionnaire. The average monthly frequency of fast food consumption was 4.05 (4.25 for boys, 3.83 for girls). As expected, fast food consumption was considered to be a special event rather than part of an everyday diet, closely associated with meeting friends or celebrating, most likely with friends, special days. The Theory of Planned Behavior effectively explained fast food consumption behaviors with relatively high $R^2$ around 0.6. Multiple regression analyses showed that fast food consumption behavior was significantly related to behavioral intention (b = 0.61, P < 0.001) and perceived behavioral control (b = 0.19, P < 0.001). Further analysis showed that behavioral intention was significantly related to subjective norm (b = 0.15, P < 0.01) and perceived behavioral control (b = 0.56, P < 0.001). Attitude toward fast food consumption was not significantly associated with behavioral intention. Therefore, effective nutrition education programs on fast food consumption should include components to change the subjective norms of fast food consumption, especially among peers, and perceived behavioral control. Further studies should examine effective ways of changing subjective norms and possible alternatives to fast food consumption for students to alter perceived behavioral control.

Empirically subdividing satisfaction with eco-friendly fashion as recognized by consumers reveals meaningful findings about consumption value. Among the factors of consumption value satisfaction with eco-friendly fashion products, functional value, social and situational value, and rare and eco-friendly value all positively affected repurchase intention.
