This study investigates ethical fashion consumption factors and corporate social responsibility (CSR) factors to segment consumer groups by ethical fashion consumption (EFC) and identify differences of EFC groups in the perception of CSR and demographics. I surveyed 390 people over age 20 in February and March, 2017. Data were analyzed with factorial analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, LSD, Chi-square, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, using SPSS 20.0. The survey showed. 1) Five EFC factors (boycott/active purchase, donation/environmental protection, saving, legal consumption, and recycle) were extracted. 2) Four CSR factors (responsibility for stakeholder, ethical/environmental responsibility, social/charitable responsibility, and economic responsibility) were extracted. 3) EFC consumers were classified into four segments (low ethic, recycle, legal, and high ethic). 4) The perception of CSR factors was different among EFC groups. 5) The distribution of age level, education level, occupation, monthly purchase cost of clothing, and religion were different among EFC groups.

The purpose of this study was to segment the consumer market for women's street clothes based on benefit sought. The sample was taken from 1106 middle class women who were in their 30's-40's living in Gwangju city. Consumers were classified into three groups by honest sought. The groups were practical benefit seeking group(36.7%), multi-benefit seeking group(32.6%) and symbolic/aesthetic benefit seeking group(30.7%). ANOVA, $\chi$$^2$-test revealed differences among groups according to benefit sought, use of information sources, purchasing behavior variables and demographic variables As a result of comparison for two market segmentations, benefit segmentation was proven to be more useful than segmentations using clothes image preference. But there were differences in psychological variables and demographic variables among the same benefit segments. Therefore hybrid approach on segmentation using clothes images preferences and benefit sought is neccesary.

Population aging and longevity have compelled major worldwide consumer markets to focus on senior citizens who exhibit a desire to nurture their appearance and obtain related products such as cosmetics. This trend signals an increasing need for in-depth research on elderly consumers in the color cosmetics market. This study identified the characteristics of seniors in the pre-elderly stage ("new seniors") based on their lifestyle and market segments. It employed online surveys with participants consisting of pre-elderly Korean women born between 1955 and 1963 who reside in the greater Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The study used SPSS 23.0 for factor analysis, reliability verification, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's test, and cross-analysis. The results show that new seniors could be classified into four groups based on lifestyle: Prime Seniors, Potential Seniors, Rational Seniors, and Slump Seniors. Each group has distinct characteristics. The findings suggest that the senior market requires further segmentation and is no longer a single uniform market. This study also confirms that the lifestyles of the elderly is an instrumental variable for their segmentation.

For the past several decades, the residential housing market has been led by construction firms rather than consumers; in essence, it has been a suppliers' market. However, the market is experiencing a transition to a buyers' market, the implication of which is that there will be increased competition among the residential building suppliers. For this reason, it is necessary for construction firms to prepare new strategies to respond to the rapidly changing market environment. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction should be valued more highly than in the past, and should be a baseline in formulating construction product development strategy. For the pre-classified 13 apartment building segments, questionnaire surveys are conducted for the 50 CS (Customer Satisfaction) experts to evaluate their perceptions on the weighing of the quality of each apartment segment. Data obtained from a survey of experts was analyzed from an industry perspective utilizing the AHP technique. Analysis results indicate that the CS experts valued the kitchen & dining area more highly than all other segments. Specific analysis results and implications drawn from the study can be a valuable basis for marketing, product development, and quality management.

Mobile shopping has spread rapidly in the consumer's daily life, and numerous fashion companies have now launched a mobile shopping application. By focusing on mobile social commerce apps, this study was to: (a) segment consumers based on loyalty and switching intentions, (b) to test differences in perceived service quality and switching barrier factors among segments, and (c) examine the effects of perceived service quality and switching barriers on loyalty intention. A total of 550 responses were obtained from mobile users in their 20s to 40s who purchased fashion products through a social commerce app in the last six months. Consumers were classified into four clusters: split-loyals, latent loyals, habitual loyals, and switchers. The split-loyal group showed the highest level of mean scores on perceived service quality and switching barrier factors; however, the switcher group showed the lowest mean scores. Of service qualities, app design had a significant effect on loyalty intentions in both split-loyal and latent loyal groups; the factors of ease of use and privacy had significant effects on loyalty intentions in switchers. Of switching barrier factors, virtual relationship had the most strongly effect on loyalty intention for the four segments.

Different people buy the same or similar products for different reasons. Benefit segmentation attempts to understand these differences by grouping together people who assign a similar level of importance to the same attributes. We focused on identifying market segments for knit fabrics by comparing the relative attribute preference for knit fabrics according to segmented clusters, and testing to establish if there were significant differences between the preferences of clusters. Three consumer segments emerged, and there were three clusters with different ideal knit profiles: a preferred wool group, a preferred acrylic group, and a preferred long stitch length group. The preferred wool group and the preferred acrylic group rated the mixture ratio as the main attribute that determined their preference, followed by the stitch length. The preferred long stitch length group considered stitch length as being the most important attribute, followed by the mixture ratio. The difference in the preferences for the mixture ratio and stitch length of knit fabrics was the highest between the three clusters, The preferred wool group preferred a knit fabric that has a greater wool mixture ratio and a short stitch length, and the preferred acrylic group and long stitch length group preferred a knit fabric that had a higher acrylic mixture ratio and a short stitch length.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status and motives of buying second-hand clothing among university students and to suggest a plan to activate second-hand clothing transactions. In order to discover the effect of the buying motives on the purchasing of second-hand clothing, 112 university students who have purchased second-hand clothing over the past six months were surveyed and their responses were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that design differentiation, habitual use, and economical factors had a meaningful effect on the purchase of second-hand clothes. Second-hand clothes have a positive environmental perception, but that perception did not impact the purchasing of second-hand clothes. It is necessary to raise the awareness and social movement around second-hand clothing and teach consumers the environmental benefits and sustainability of second-hand clothing. An activation plan for the second-hand clothing market is: 1. Proposes various market subdivisions that meet the characteristics and tastes of consumers that lead to the purchase of used clothing. In this study, two economic factors were found among the buying motives. The first is purchasing second-hand clothing at a very low price, and the second is finding luxurious expensive items or unique values at a lower price. Therefore, it is necessary to find various markets segments that suit consumer tastes by checking consumer characteristics and detailed factors. 2. Nurture second-hand clothing processing brands for the diversification of the second-hand clothing market. 3. There is an urgent need for quality classification, quality assurance, and the standardization of second-hand clothing. This study is meaningful in that it explored the possibility of having a positive effect on activating the second-hand clothing market.

The purposes of this study were to segment adolescents into groups by family and school factors and to investigate the differences among the groups regarding body image and self-esteem. The study distributed the questionnaires to the adolescents who were middle and high school students in South Korea. The total respondents were 2240. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and $X^2-test$. Factor analysis showed that body image had four dimensions: appearance management, physical attractiveness, weight control, and the opposite sex fear. The cluster analysis showed that Korean adolescents were segmented into four groups (family preference/school preference group, family dissatisfaction/school dissatisfaction group, family average/peer competition group, family average/peer dissatisfaction group). The four groups were significantly different in regard to three dimensions of body image, self-esteem, and demographics. For example, the family preference/school preference group was most satisfied with their bodies, had a lowest opposite sex fear, and had a highest self·esteem. However, family dissatisfaction/teacher dissatisfaction group was most dissatisfied with their bodies, had a greatest interest in their appearance, and had a lowest self-esteem.
The purpose of this study were 1) to find out the benefits sought factors and segment the customers of internet shopping mall, 2) to find out the store image factors of internet shopping mall, and 3) to analyze the internet shopping mall market using perceptual map of segmented groups. The questionnaires dealing with attribute dimension of internet shopping mall image, benefits sought, and demographic variables were selected from the previous studies or were developed for this study. The data from 319 respondents which were collected through the internet survey site was analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and $X^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Benefit sought by consumer in internet shopping malls was found to include six different factors: assortments of products, search efficiency, brand/fashionability, delivery convenience, promotion service and informativeness. 2. As a result of subdividing the consumers, four distinctive groups were formed on the basis of benefit factors: multi-benefit oriented group, convenience oriented group, brand oriented group and low-benefit oriented group. Demographic traits such as education and income level were proven to significantly differentiate the benefit segments. 3. In the structural components of internet shopping-malls image, product/information, service/convenience and economy were drawn from attribute dimensions. 4. 12 perceptual maps of internet shopping mall image were constructed and each ideal vector were drawn.
The purpose of this study was to identify the predictable variables of criteria on clothing selection. Relationships among criteria on clothing selection, psychological variable, lifestyle variable, and demographic variable were tested by Pearsons' correlation coefficients and One-way ANOVA. The predictors of criteria on clothing selection were identified by Regression. The consumers were classified into several benefit-segments by criteria on clothing selection, and then, the character of each segment were identified by Multiple Discriminant Analysis. Data was obtained from 593 women living in Pusan by self-administered questionnaires. The results of the study were as follows; 1. Relationship between criteria on clothing selection and relative variables. 1) The important variables to criteria on clothing selection were "down-to-earth-sophisticated", "traditional-morden", "conventional-different", "conscientious-expendient", need for exhibitionism, need for sex, fashion / appearance. 2) The important factor of clothing selection criteria was comfort and it has significant difference among ages. 3) The higher of social-economic status have the more appearance-oriented selection. 2. Predictors of criteria on clothing selection. There were several important predictors of criteria on clothing selection like lifestyle, need, and self-image. Especially, fashion / appearance in lifestyle variable was very important. 3. Segmentation by the criteria on clothing selection. There are four groups Classified by the criteria on clothing selection, that is practical-oriented group, appearance-oriented group, practical and appearance-oriented group, and indifference group. The significant discriminative variables were Fashion / appearance factor, need for exhibitionism, and need for sex. The result of this study can be used for a enterprise to analysis the consumer and to build the strategy of advertisement clothing.
