The Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Purchase Intention - Focused on Anti-Corporate Emotion - (기업의 사회적 책임활동이 구매의도에 미치는 영향 - 반기업정서를 중심으로 -)

  • The results of the present study on corporate social responsibility activities have different results for each researcher. This is considered to be the influence of the moderated variables depending on the relations among the variables. The purpose of this study is to propose anti-corporate emotion as a variable to moderate the relationship between social responsibility activities and outcome variables and to investigate its influence. The results and implications are as follows. Ethical responsibility activities and discretionary responsibility activities had effects on corporate attitude and corporate attitude affects consumers' purchase intention. This is consistent with many previous studies, which means that it is necessary to create a positive psychology for a firm or product in order to induce consumer behavior. In addition, in the group with high anti-corporate emotions, the effect is not significant even if the company has a lot of discretionary activities, but if the ethical responsibility is done, the negative attitude toward the company can be alleviated even if the anti- corporate emotion is high. This explains why many companies now have social contribution activities as an alternative to reduce the corporate crisis, but the effect is insufficient. Therefore, companies that want to carry out social responsibility activities should be interested first in the ethical management or ethical responsibility activities of companies.

Consumers' Reaction, Perceives Benefits and Risk When Purchasing Apparel through Cable TV Home-Shopping (케이블TV 홈쇼핑을 통한 의복구매시 소비자 반응과 추구이점 및 위험지각)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics and consumer attitude on purchasing apparel through Cable TV home-shopping. The questionnaire was administered to 4y5 May through September in 1996 and the data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, crosstab, 1-test, ANOVA, MANOVA, scheffe with utilizing SPSS/PC+ The results of this study were as follows: 1. The most favorite media in purchasing apparel through home-shopping was Cable TV in all over ages except 50's. Women showed Cable TV the most interested, whereas men showed printed media and computer on-line shopping as home shopping media. 2. Home-shopping favor in region' was higher than that of Seoul. In the degree of favor, college students showed the highest, followed by part time employees, housewives and full time employees. Those who lived individual houses in other than Seoul area showed higher purchasing intention. 3. Sweater item was shown as the highest purchasing interested item and coat/business suit items were shown as lower among 10 different apparel items. 4. Five dimensions of Perceived benefits of apparel purchasing through Cable TV were derived by factor analysis such as variety of merchandise information, purchase convenience, efficiency, saving time, and convenience of physical inactivity. The convenience of physical inactivity showed the most important benefit through Cable TV home-shopping. Perceived risk of apparel purchasing through Cable TV was factor analyzed as merchandise related risk, size and appearance related risk, delivery related risk, TV watching related risk, and unplanned purchasing related risk. The sixte and appearance related risk was shown as the highest risk.

A Study on Signification of Components in Fashion Advertising (의류광고 구성요소의 의미화 고정에 관한 연구)

  • In the study, conceiving that signifying processes like model, setting, advertisement and description are important to promote the purchase of clothes that would satisfy consumer's desire by their expressing mode, I considered the processes of components of which fashion ads consist. As for the methods to study, I regarded the results presented from prior researches of clothing & textiles and other disciplines for the components of fashion ads and objectified their image that may be interpreted subjectively: and then, I adopted to analyse them using advertisement-semiological method to make clear the signifying processes. The results are as follow: 1. Fashion ad, one of visual symbols to transfer brand image, conveys the image with which various components are combined like model, clothes, setting and description as signs. ① the image of clothes amy be differently expressed according to social, cultural norm and individual characteristics, in the case of clothes, therefore, the signified can be regarded as the transferred image by design of the clothes① sign, and the abstract conception which may be rise to mind by the image in a ceratin culture. ② Each signifier such as countenance, line of vision, attitude and hairstyle of a model conveys different image, or the signified, respectively, and it amy operate as a sign that can express the brand image symbolically. ③ The signifiers like background, color and property symbolize the advertised merchandise of clothes and define it attribute.. 2. In the case of fashion ads, key referent systems are fashion phenomena, contemporary role image, social psychology, common morality, and social, economical and milieu.

Effect of Eating Environments on the Liking of Sodium or Sugar Reduced Foods (섭취 환경 조건이 나트륨 및 당 저감식품 기호도에 끼치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the possibility of reducing sodium and sugar intake in the Bulgogi bowl and yogurt, respectively, by utilizing food and non-food factors. Sodium and sugar replacers were the target food factors, and eating environment was the target non-food factor. The sodium content of Bulgogi bowls was reduced by 40%, and a flavor enhancer was applied to compensate for the reduced saltiness. Low calorie sweeteners, such as sucralose and stevia, were used to lower the sugar content of yogurt by 30%. Consumers were asked to evaluate the samples in one of the three eating environments: private booth evaluation, BOOTH; watching video clips during evaluation, VIDEO; conversation with friends during evaluation, FRIEND. The results showed that applying sodium or sugar replacers were effective in lowering sodium or sugar intake, respectively, without compromising the acceptance level of samples. Significant influences of the eating environment were observed on liking and perception of samples, but the influence patterns were not consistent between Bulgogi bowl and yogurt.

Relationship between Store Image, Customer Satisfaction, Behavioral Intention and Fast Distribution in Retails

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to study the relationships among store image, customer satisfaction, behavioral intentions (BI) and fast distribution in shahrvand chain super market in Tehran. Research design, data, and methodology - The 300 samples were from all the customers of Shahrvand chain stores. Since the present study aimed to explore the relationship between store image, customers' satisfaction, customers' behavioral intentions, and the proximity of shops to customers with considering determination for the influence of each factor, the customers of Shahrvand chain stores were randomly asked to comment on this issue. Results - Attitude to services and merchandising are positively associated with their positive store image. Besides, positive store image has a positive relationship with customers' behavioral intentions and customers'satisfaction. The relationship between fast distribution and customers' satisfaction is significantly positive. Conclusions - Several studies have shown that, in general, store image is important to attract and retain customers. This paper depicts the specific influences of image specifically on customer satisfaction and behavioral intention. Factors related to image have been discussed as their attitudes which touch areas of organizational behavior that have been embedded in the model, and it contributes to the originality or the value of the study.

  • This study confirms Busan area medium and small enterprises' position and analyzed present condition and actual conditions of swing Korea measure and consumer's attitude about measure in general circumstance that our country medium and small enterprises is placed in information. According to result that analyze Busan area medium and small enterprises' information level, Busan was expose by whole country average low including the electron commercial transaction rate. When consider weight that Busan economy occupies in gross domestic product, information differential of medium and small enterprises of Busan area is subject that must improve urgently and seriousness point is true that information differential of manufacturing industry is main factor more. Therefore, urgent agenda should be the activation of manufacturing industry information assistance measure and extension of current manufacturing technique information assistance business for Busan economy. Also, at problem solution progress, Busan is thought that must come looking for seat role actively.

  • This study is to investigate extensively the negative word-of-mouth responses and intentions of the public library users. It selects and analyzes empirically some of the antecedents of the complaining behaviors including severity of dissatisfaction attitude toward complaining, difficulty of the complaining, likelihood of success, product/service importance, external attributions, loyalty, and former experience of complaining. Final data through questionaries are obtained from 497 unsatisfied adult public library users in Taegu Metropolitan City, 443 of them analysed with SPSS 12.0 for Windows.

Factors Influencing the Level of Perceived Helpfulness of Country of Origin in Predicting the Safety of Chicken Meat (닭고기의 안전 예측에서 원산지 표시의 도움에 대한 지각도에 미치는 영향 요인 평가)

  • The purposes of this study were to measure respondent's demographic characteristics, respondent's attitudes toward chicken meat, and factors influencing the level of perceived helpfulness of country of origin in predicting the safety of chicken. The data was collected through a consumer survey during the March 2006. Two hundred fifty meat consumers living in Suncheon, the eastern part of Chonnam, were randomly selected as respondents. Eleven respondents did not complete the survey instrument, resulting in a final sample size of 239. All estimations were carried out using correlation, logistic procedure of SAS package, and plum procedure of SPSS. The level of perceived helpfulness of country of origin in predicting the safety of chicken meat was significantly correlated with trust, antibiotics and salmonella/bacteria among the attitude variables. The proportional odds assumption of the model was violated at p<0.05. The estimated results of the multinomial logit model indicated that income, single, occupation, and education significantly affected helpful perception over not helpful perception, while gender and occupation significantly affected very helpful perception over not helpful perception in the case of the extended model. These study results from this study could be useful in developing marketing and health promotion strategies, as well as government trade policy.

  • 전자상거래의 급속한 발전 속에서 기업들은 세계적 시장에서 경쟁력을 지니기 위해 전자상거래를 이용하여 상품판매, 서비스 제공, 고객과 소통하고자 한다. 그러나, 기존의 연구들은 TAM 모형을 통한 상호관계나 선행관계에만 초점을 맞추고 있기 때문에 좀 더 확장한 모형이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 상품정보와 서비스 제공수준은 소비자 행동에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인이지만 연구가 충분치 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 상품정보제공수준과 서비스제공수준에 따른 소비자 태도 차이를 조망하고자 한다. 둘째, 기존에 연구가 미약하였던 상품정보제공수준 및 서비스제공수준과 기존에 인지된 가치, 인지된 위험, 구매의도와 구전의도간의 상호인과관계를 조망하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상품정보제공수준과 서비스제공수준에 따라 소비자 태도 차이에는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 상품정보제공수준과 서비스제공수준에 따라 소비자들이 인지된 가치, 인지된 위험, 구매의도, 구전효과에는 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 변수들간에 상호인과관계와 선행관계가 존재하였다. 상품정보제공수준과 서비스 제공수준은 인지된 가치와 인지된 위험에 각각 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 뿐만 아니라, 인지된 가치는 인지된 위험, 구매의도, 구전효과에, 인지된 위험은 구매의도와 구전효과에 직접적인 영향을 나타내었다.

A Study on Weight Control Behavior by Female Consumers Eating Life Styles (여성 소비자의 식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 체중 조절 행위에 관한 연구)

  • The study investigated the eating lifestyles of female consumers and whether they influenced weight control behavior. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the eating lifestyles of the subjects were presented four types: 'active eating life pursuit type', 'safe economical type', 'gourmet type' and 'passive negligence type'. In general, most cases were of the 'passive negligence type'. Second, weight control behavior was analyzed according to eating lifestyle. The results of the analysis indicated that the female consumers of the 'active eating life pursuit type' and 'safe economy type' had high behavior levels in each aspect of weight control attitude, subjective regulation, perceived behavior control, and behavior intention. Third, the 'gourmet type', with a strong preference for taste, and the 'passive negligence type', with fewer eating considerations in general, showed weaker attitudes towards weight control and the recognition of pressure from people around them. As such, the level of consideration for food or eating was correlated with weight control. These findings impliedy that the more active, safer, and economical women are in their general eating style, the stronger they perceive weight control issues.
