  • This study outlines possible risk factors in the SCM of a company and correlates risk assessment, the strategy of risk management, and the supply chain performance. The data is surveyed from an international Korean company and is analyzed by the structure equation model of actual proof. The research model verifies the correlation between the risk assessment, the strategy of risk management, and the supply chain performance as dependent variables after the risk factors of the SCM are defined as independent variables. The research shows that there are consecutive links among the risk factors of the SCM, the risk assessment, and the strategy of risk management. The strategy of risk management was conclusively determined to have an effect on supply chain performance. Therefore, improving the supply chain performance of a company requires the constructive process for risk management based on a correlation between risk assessment and the strategy of risk management.

  • The rule of the game of Chomp is simple and the existence of a winning strategy can easily be proved. However, the existence tells us nothing about what strategies are winning in reality. Like in Chess or Baduk, many researchers studied the winning moves using computer programs, but no general patterns for the winning actions have not been found. In the paper, we aim to construct practical winning strategies based on backward induction. To do this we develop how to analyze Chomp and prove and find the winning strategies of the simple games of Chomp.

  • In two previous papers the author presented a general construction of finite, fiber- and orientation-preserving group actions on orientable Seifert manifolds. In this paper we restrict our attention to elliptic 3-manifolds. For illustration of our methods a constructive proof is given that orientation-reversing and fiber-preserving diffeomorphisms of Seifert manifolds do not exist for nonzero Euler class, in particular elliptic 3-manifolds. Each type of elliptic 3-manifold is then considered and the possible group actions that fit the given construction. This is shown to be all but a few cases that have been considered elsewhere. Finally, a presentation for the quotient space under such an action is constructed and a specific example is generated.
