  • The safety, serviceability, and design code of the infrastructures such as highway, railroad, bridges, etc. have been analyzed. It is identified that the safety and function of infrastructures in North Korea could have some problems compared with current design codes. After analyzing the results, the multi-step road map for integrating infrastructures in Korea Peninsula is proposed.

  • This study is on the construction work of Preservation for Korean architectural properties during the period of japan invader. Korea lost their preservation ability of architectural properties when went through specific background from 1910 to 1945, which was the period of japan invader. Through this situation japan had to face the preservation of architectural properties for japan and korea. After 1945, korea has preserved the architectural properties over 50's years and which accomplishment every yew. Also, there are some architectural properties which registered in world heritages. However, the study of this period is not studied enough. Especially a construction work for architectural properties during this period is not become known. Therefore, the purpose of this study is for three. First is to analyze construction work data(a specifications and etc.) for accessing originality of korea architectural properties. Second is to understand about the construction works of preservation for the korean architectural properties. and the last is to compare the peculiarities of construction work of Preservation for korean architectural properties between during 1910-1945 and 1945-1965.

A Potential Value of Noise Control in Construction Sites for Real Estate Developers

  • Since construction work is an indispensable part of daily lives, complaints of noise are unavoidable. Noise control in construction sites is normally known as a regulation by a government and self-motivated noise controls rarely occur. In this paper, a marketing strategy is proposed to provide a potential value of noise control for real estate developer. First, people's perception to construction noise was examined in means of collecting and analyzing media reports between 2005 to 2011. Then decibel test was done in order to test noise generated by different devices in a construction site in various distances. According to the theory of core competency, a conceptual model was raised to illustrate profit and loss situation of the real estate developers in the case they invest more in noise control. The construction noise is discussed that it will ruin people's perception to the company's brand image and reputation. Also, the investment in the creation of silent site is discussed that it will not only bring benefit to the brand image work but also have value of profit in the market.

  • Lifting plan in conjunction with the overall construction plan will be established. It is being created by executive director of the Corporation and other such as an experienced site manager. But, written lifting plan based on the limited information and experience is causing some problems such as decreasing productivity, workability loss, delay. The reasons for the problems are lack of prediction of construction execution, inappropriate materials on the past performance, individual experience, limits of knowledge, lack of technical materials, shortage of advisor. Therefore, to solve the problems, we have to overcome the situation in which we depends on lifting planner's experience and intuition, limited information by accumulating objective and reliable materials. Because unorganized lifting plan will lower efficiency of lifting equipment and make reducing construction period difficult. In this study, influence factors on lifting plans will be derived through reviewing literatures and lifting plan cases. Derived influence factors will be classified as components and classes, classified influence factors are assessed suitability. Also, Decision making items are derived from the factors. Finally, tower crane lifting plan process will be suggested from the result.

  • When the foundation work of the underground part of the building structure or the excavation work of the civil engineering structure is carried out, there is the earthwork work by the inevitable process. As the economic situation continues to develop, construction in urban areas is becoming bigger and higher in scale due to the expansion of infrastructure and the rescue of urban dwellings in urban areas, and excavation of underground roads is inevitable. Excavation of the underground part may cause problems in the process difficulty and safety of the earthworks due to the complexity and various characteristics of the ground selected without consideration of the ground characteristics and site conditions. In order to complete the required facilities, it is necessary to secure the design and construction of the retaining walls. In order to complete the required construction, It is an important factor satisfying construction period and economical efficiency.
