  • In this study, we propose a way of infill unit-modular construction for school facilities and identify the main effect factors when planning a remodeling of the school facilities by using infill unit-modular construction. This study is limited to have document for domestic infill modular construction such as technical data, knowhow due to fewer cases and research. we expect to study on an practical alternative for infill modular housing specifically.

  • This study analyzes the present public construction ordering system focussing on the legal framework for the fire facilities construction business and investigates the problem of subcontracting, and further reviews why Separate Prime Contracting should be recommended in policy, social, legislative and regulative terms. This study suggests the amendment of Fire Facilities Construction Business Act, with new bill drafting. The result of this study shows the present public construction ordering system has huge disparities between main building construction business and fire facilities construction business, and recommend Separate Prime Contracting should be adopted in the fields of fire facilities construction business. The system of Separate Prime Contracting may secure business entities' responsibility and higher quality of fire facilities, and also result in reasonable construction practices in reasonable costs. This system may also contribute to improve public safety level in fire facilities construction.

  • This study discusses application of the storm water management model (SWMM) to designing the sponge city facilities in the Athletes Village of Military World Games in Wuhan in October 2019. The SWMM was used to simulate the runoff processes and reduction efficiencies of the sponge city facilities. The runoffs of the sponge city facilities were compared with those of traditional drainage system for the design rainfall of 35.2mm and the rainfalls with different recurrence periods. The results show that the hign density sponge city facilities could meet the requirements for 80% of annual runoff control rate, SWMM can determine the scales of the sponge city facilities and effectively simulate the hydrological processes for different layout schemes. The simulation model is also helpful to making optimization of the sponge city facility layout.

  • The Military made an investment continuously in facilities construction since the Korea War but, a lot of Military-Facilities Construction have overlooked a long terms plan and detailed examination. The deteriorated facilities that becomes more than about 20 years of the military possession facilities is account about $25\%$ and these are real condition that is not achieving the function properly. Early Deterioration of Military-Facilities bring about waste of national defense cost, environmental pollution and so on. These are not very desirable for nations, societies and environment. Therefore, this study presented maintenance improvement of the Military Facilities for of a long life-cycle of Facilities

  • The Purpose of this study is to analyze the investigation of consumer's consciousness for Han-Ok construction of community facilities in an apartment housing. The contents of this study were largely composed of two parts; First was about concept and type of 'New Han-Ok type' public building. Second was about consciousness for Han-Ok construction of community facilities in an apartment housing. The result to this study is as following: 1) the concept of 'New Han-Ok type' public building should not only be defined in terms of cultural property or Han-Ok experience facilities but daily life and practical community. 2) the consciousness for Han-Ok construction of community facilities in an apartment housing was recognized affirmatively more than 75.9%. 3) the strengths of 'New Han-Ok type' public building was as following: daycare centers & small libraries & management office-use of eco materials, senior centers-traditional maintenance, community center-ease of daylight and ventilation. 4) Weaknesses of 'New Han-Ok type' public building was as following: daycare centers-security problem, senior centers-inconvenience of space, community facilities-inconvenience of facilities, small libraries-lack of storage space, management office-inconvenience of moving line. The conscious research for 'New Han-Ok type' public building should succeed for vitalizing for Han-Ok.

  • This study suggests how to classify owner's standard specifications in organizations such as local governments which place an order for constructing general and various types of facilities. And the principal conclusions of this study can be summarized as follows; first, the Standard Specifications for Seoul Metropolitan Government of for all facilities could be integrated by seven individual works. Second, it is advisable from a viewpoint of long term to draw up integrally owner's standard specifications by trade for facilities, rather than draw up by group of facilities. Third, editing integrated standard specifications for all trades to meet the unified work classification structure should be backed up by high technology, therefore owner's standard specifications by trades would be favorable to our situation.

  • Preventing incidents occurred in construction process is important for safe implementation of construction projects. Due to the complexity and magnitude of the project and moreover, poor safe planning and management, construction incidents in Korea have been increasing. Reducing construction incidents effectively, appropriate safety management program in consideration of the incident rate of each facility is to be adapted. This study analyzes incident frequency and severity rate of each facility based on the data of construction sites(about 1,560 thousand cases) recorded by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency for 3 years from 2007 to 2009, and the incident related data (about 40 thousand cases) of Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service. The results of this study revealed that construction incident rates of 'cold refrigeration storage facilities' are the highest among building types, followed by traditional building religious building, arcade department store and shopping center. In case of other facilities, the incident rate and the rate of intensity of 'pipelining project' are the highest, followed by 'tunneling project'. These results would be used in providing safety programs beneficial for preventing construction incidents.

  • Community facilities in apartment complex have been developed through construction companies' needs for housing development and differentiation combined with a intense marketing competition among housing construction companies. But, It is the fact that the construction companies have planned the community facilities without considering on residents' needs for housing environmental amenity and preference. Therefore, this study investigated the space composition and the present usage of community facilities and surveyed to get concrete information regarding the residents' satisfaction with the proposed community facilities plan. It is the conclusion that the residents request a convenient and comfortable facilities similar level with those in the outside sports complex and the operating programs.

  • The most commonly used method for space management in the industry is development of site plans. These plans outline how to manage material deliveries, staging areas, and crane locations for construction sites in suburban area but not in congested urban areas. This study focuses on how to efficiently manage space for construction facilities on high-rise buildings in congested urban areas where normally space for facilities around a building footprint is not available. The limitations of available horizontal space create a need to explore vertical expansion of facilities. This raises new aspects of vertical facility handling and flow that need to be considered in the facility design problem. The construction facilities layout plan method provides layout planners with a valuable technique to develop efficient sequences of work that optimally defines how to efficiently utilize the construction facilities and minimize the travel of specific facilities effort on multiple-floor buildings. A genetic algorithm-based heuristic will be presented for generating block layouts for multiple-floor la)rout problems.

  • Renovation of existing sports facilities or construction of temporary ones for international complex games requires a wide variety of hundreds of sub construction projects to be awarded at the same time but there are few precedents required regarding the study of tendering process required in such cases. As award of construction contracts to build sports facilities for various international complex games is a critical determinant of fate of international complex games in the initial phase, it is very critical that adequate construction tendering process bedetermined. This research is aimed to study tendering cases for renovation or construction of critical international sports facilities to enhance efficiency of facility construction and define most reasonable tendering approach to satisfy schedule constraints often associated with international complex games and contribute to improvement of international competitiveness of their host cities and propose a direction for further development. This study also provides inputs to subsequent sports events of comparable scale to minimize trial and error.
