  • Recently, as the amount of data collected by drones has rapidly increased, it is necessary to support cloud computing technology that can securely and efficiently store and process data. However, various security threats such as stealing, leaking, or tampering with data communicated by drones can occur due to attackers. Therefore, there is a need for security technology to provide secure communication of data collected from drones. Among various security technologies, the KP-ABE scheme, which is attribute-based encryption, is a security technology that satisfies two characteristics: data encryption and user access control. This paper researched the KP-ABE scheme and proposed a secure data access control scheme to the drone environment. This proposed scheme provides confidentiality and integrity of data communicated in a drone environment and secure access control and availability. In addition, it provides a fast ciphertext search and constant size ciphertext among the requirements to be provided in the KP-ABE scheme.

  • With the development of ICT, as the era of the 4th industrial revolution arrives, the amount of data is enormous, and as big data technologies emerge, technologies for processing, storing, and processing data are becoming important. In this paper, we propose a system that detects events through monitoring and judges them using hash values because the damage to important files in case of leakage in industries and public places is serious nationally and property. As a research method, an optional event method is used to compare the hash value registered in advance after performing the encryption operation in the event of a file leakage, and then determine whether it is an important file. Monitoring of specific events minimizes system load, analyzes the signature, and determines it to improve accuracy. Confidentiality is improved by comparing and determining hash values pre-registered in the database. For future research, research on security solutions to prevent file leakage through networks and various paths is needed.

  • The disaster recovery refers to policies and procedures to ensure continuity of services and minimize loss of resources and finances in case of emergency situations such as natural disasters. In particular, the disaster recovery method by the cloud service provider has advantages such as management flexibility, high availability, and cost effectiveness. However, this method has a dependency on a service provider and has a structural limitation in which a user cannot be involved in personal data. In this paper, we propose a protocol using proxy re-encryption for data confidentiality by removing dependency on service providers by backing up user data using blockchain and distributed storage. The proposed method is implemented in Ethereum and IPFS environments, and presents the performance and cost required for backup and recovery operations.

  • The importance of software is increasing due to the development of information and communication, and software copyright disputes are also increasing. In this paper, the source of the submitted programs and the files necessary for the execution of the program were taken as the scope of analysis. The large-capacity file transfer solution program to be analyzed provides additional functions such as confidentiality, integrity, user authentication, and non-repudiation functions through digital signature and encryption of data.In this paper, we analyze the program A, program B, and the program C. In order to calculate the program similarity rate, the following contents are analyzed. Analyze the similarity of the package structure, package name, source file name in each package, variable name in source file, function name, function implementation source code, and product environment variable information. It also calculates the overall similarity rate of the program. In order to check the degree of agreement between the package structure and the package name, the similarity was determined by comparing the folder structure. It also analyzes the extent to which the package structure and package name match and the extent to which the source file (class) name within each package matches.

  • Various subjects are carrying out cyberattacks using a variety of tactics and techniques. Additionally, cyberattacks for political and economic purposes are also being carried out by groups which is sponsored by its nation. To deal with cyberattacks, researchers used to classify the malware family and the subjects of the attack based on malware signature. Unfortunately, attackers can easily masquerade as other group. Also, as the attack varies with subject, techniques, and purpose, it is more effective for defenders to identify the attacker's purpose and goal to respond appropriately. The essential goal of cyberattacks is to threaten the information security of the target assets. Information security is achieved by preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the assets. In this paper, we relabel the attacker's goal based on MITRE ATT&CK® in the point of CIA triad as well as classifying cyber security reports to verify the labeling method. Experimental results show that the model classified the proposed CIA label with at most 80% probability.

  • LEA is a lightweight block cipher developed in Korea in 2013. In this paper, among block cipher operation methods, CTR operation mode and GCM operation mode that provides confidentiality and integrity are implemented. In the LEA-CTR operation mode, we propose an optimization implementation that omits the operation between states through the state fixation and omits the operation through the pre-operation by utilizing the characteristics of the fixed nonce value of the CTR operation mode. It also shows that the proposed method is applicable to the GCM operation mode, and implements the GCM through the implementation of the GHASH function using the Galois Field(2128) multiplication operation. As a result, in the case of LEA-CTR to which the proposed technique is applied on 32-bit RISC-V, it was confirmed that the performance was improved by 2% compared to the previous study. In addition, the performance of the GCM operation mode is presented so that it can be used as a performance indicator in other studies in the future.

  • Messenger applications applied end-to-end encryption on their own to prevent message exposure to servers. Standardization of a group messaging protocol called Message Layer Security (MLS) with end-to-end encryption is being discussed for secure and efficient message communication. This paper performs safety checks based on the operation process and security requirements of MLS. Confidentiality to a middleman server, which is an essential security requirement in messenger communication, can be easily violated by a server administrator. We define a server administrator who is curious about the group's communication content as a curious admin and present an attack in which the admin obtains a group key from MLS. Reminds messenger application users that the server can view your communication content at any time. We discuss ways to authenticate between users without going through the server to prevent curious admin attacks.

  • The demands of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are growing very rapidly with the era of the 4th industrial revolution. As the technology of the UAV improved with the development of artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology, it began to be used in various civilian fields such as hobbies, bridge inspections, etc from being used for special purposes such as military use. MAVLink (Macro Air Vehicle Link), which started as an open source project, is the most widely used communication protocol between UAV and ground control station. However, MAVLink does not include any security features such as encryption/decryption mechanism, so it is vulnerable to various security threats. Therefore, in this study, the block cipher is implemented in UAV to ensure confidentiality, and the results of the encryption and decryption performance evaluation in the UAV according to various implementation methods are analyzed. In addition, we proposed the security requirements in accordance with Common Criteria, which is an international recognized ISO standard.

  • The use of the Internet has become commonplace for billions of people on the planet. The rapid development of technology, in particular, mobile gadgets, has provided access to communication anywhere, anytime. At the same time, there are growing concerns about the behavior of people on the Internet, in particular, towards each other and social groups in general. This raises the issue of human rights in today's information society. In this study, we focused on human rights such as the right to privacy, confidentiality, freedom of expression, the right to be forgotten, etc. We point to some differences in this regard, in particular between the EU, etc. In addition, we describe the latest legal regulation in this aspect in European countries. Such methods as systemic, factual, formal and legal, to show the factors of formation and development of human rights in the context of digitalization were used. The authors indicate which of them deserve the most attention due to their prevalence and relevance. Thus, we concluded that the technological development of social communications has laid the groundwork for a legal settlement of privacy and opinion issues on the Internet. Simultaneously, jurisdictions address issues on every aspect of human rights on the Internet, based on previous norms, case law, and principles of law. It is concluded that human rights legislation on the Internet will continue to be actively developed to ensure a balance of private and public interests, safe online access and unimpeded access to it.
