Loop transversal codes take an alternative approach to the theory of error-correcting codes, placing emphasis on the set of errors that are to be corrected. Hitherto, the loop transversal code method has been restricted to linear codes. The goal of the current paper is to extend the conceptual framework of loop transversal codes to admit nonlinear codes. We present a natural example of this nonlinearity among perfect single-error correcting codes that exhibit efficient domination in a circulant graph, and contrast it with linear codes in a similar context.

Online communities are an important source of electronic-word-of-mouth (eWOM), however few studies have examined these types of messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Kuwaiti women as members of an online beauty forum; previous work has suggested a mediating effect of gender with women being more likely to trust and follow-up word-of-mouth with a purchase. A conceptual model, based on existing theoretical contributions, provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' eWOM adoption. A sub-set of the analysis is presented: 218 threads (1820 messages, coded into 6702 units) illustrating cases where eWOM was adopted and thereby demonstrating continuance intention with members returning to the forum. Content analysis revealed the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages, coded into a new category of 'community bonding'. Findings show that emotion expressed in messages is as influential and important as cognitive aspects of argument quality.

The aim of this conceptual article is to explore the sharing economy ecosystem concept in innovation policy context with cluster, innovation system, smart specialization and business ecosystem approaches. This study conducts comparative study to understand what has been changed by sharing economy through Uber case in four cities. By analyzing vital constructs in sharing economy ecosystem, we suggest how sharing economy ecosystem works, and presenting core factors in policy framework of sharing economy ecosystem. In addition, we attempt to explain that policy maker should consider the relationship between these factors. The result of this paper shows sharing economy ecosystem has developed with their characteristics and constructs that are different with traditional industry.

This paper develops a new approach to dealing with qualitative reasoning processes involved in managerial decisions, drawing upon choice strategies that have been developed within the general framework of multi-criteria decision making. Issues such as choices under uncertainty and preference formulation are addressed. An MCDM DSS intended to assist in high-level management decisions must focus on helping the decision maker to properly define the problem by providing a structure to it and to dynamically evaluate the alternative courses of action. A conceptual architecture is developed and presented to propose a general model for designing decision support systems specifically designed to assist in MCDM in a managerial context. A commercial loan approval judgment case is described to illustrate the real-world situation where decisions are made under fuzziness and usually require a high degree of intuition and subjective judgment. Development of a prototype system intended to partially represent application of the architecture is described.

Physical Surroundings have been identified by a number of researchers as a powerful tool that can manipulate people's mood and cognition. A number of marketing practitioners have accepted this notion, given that physical surroundings are increasingly used as atmospheric stimuli in various retail environment as well as in restaurant. Yet there have not been practical reviews on consumer responses in restaurant setting/environment. By means of a literature review, this study examines how physical surroundings in restaurant settings function on displaying dinning atmosphere. It includes the conceptual definition and classifications of physical surroundings, effect of physical surroundings on customers' internal responses and behaviors, and testable research propositions and directions for future researches. This study is expected to make a substantial contribution to the understanding of restaurant manager and dinning atmosphere displayer about function of physical surroundings in dinning context.

As the digital economy goes global, firms are trying to find suppliers that can address their managerial goals and strategies. The alternatives are not confined to domestic firms. Firms have been trying to connect to foreign partners worldwide. Although offshore outsourcing grants firms various benefits, they present big cultural challenges. However, there is little research on the impact of cultural or country factors on outsourcing. The goal of this paper is to synthesize the outsourcing success literature and develop propositions for outsourcing success in the context of offshore outsourcing. This paper proposes that cultural effects should be included in evaluating the success of offshore outsourcing. Knowledge sharing and the scope of outsourcing are adopted in the base outsourcing success model from previous literature. In the extended model partnership quality is included as a mediator and organizational capability and outsourcing relationship type are also included as moderator. Finally, the integrated framework of offshore outsourcing success includes cultural factors as moderators of the relationships between outsourcing success antecedents and the success of offshore outsourcing. Reasoning for propositions, managerial implications, and future research directions are discussed.

This paper aims to propose a conceptual model that empirically examines the relationship of psychological empowerment & role satisfaction and their dimensions with motivation in an Indian context. 176 executives/managers from many public sector organizations in India were approached. Cronbach alpha, correlation and regression analyses were applied to check the research hypotheses. Only meaning was found to be important predictor of motivation. Interestingly, achievement and extension were also observed to be the determinants of motivation. This paper would help researchers and practitioners to work on these variables in some other sectors also. Improvement in the psychological empowerment and role satisfaction will enhance the motivation among Indian business executives/managers which will improve the overall performance of the organization. It is an innovative attempt to utilize psychological empowerment and role satisfaction independently to improve motivation in an Indian framework.

Purpose: Smoking temptation is communicated frequently among people related to smoking cessation and has specific meanings within the context of smoking. However, the concept of smoking temptation has not been well articulated in the literatures. This study was conducted to clarify and to conceptualize the phenomena of smoking temptation. Method: The Hybrid Model of concept development was applied to develop a concept of smoking temptation, which included a field study carried out in Seoul, South Korea using in-depth interviews with 5 adult smokers. Results: The concept of smoking temptation emerged as a complex phenomenon having meanings in several different dimensions which encompassed several attributes. In addition, the conceptual structure of smoking temptation centered around five dimensions: Response to conditioned stimuli, Distancing from harsh reality, Nicotine dependency, Habitual routine, and Lack of control. Conclusions: Smoking temptation is a concept that needs to be treated in a specified individual way and it is possible to enrich the meanings and methods to manage smoking temptation in nursing smoking cessation interventions that its application may have positive impacts on patients' well being.

현재의 컴퓨팅 패러다임은 객체간의 대화다. 심지어 인간도 객체의 일부로 보고, 인간의 행동처럼 텍스트로 나타내기 힘든 추상적인 개념들도 관계들을 정의함으로써 온톨로지로 표현할 수 있다. VPW는 이러한 온톨로지들을 바탕으로 사용자의 상황을 표현하고, 이는 컨텍스트 적응형 서비스 객체에게 전달되어 사용자에 맞는 적응형 서비스를 제공받게 된다. 본 논문에서는 컨텍스트 적응형 개인화 서비스를 위해 사용자와 관련된 컨텍스트를 전달하는 방법으로써 사용자를 현존하는 온톨로지들을 이용하여 VPW 모델링 방법으로 표현하는 것과 VPW를 이용하여 사용자에게 알맞은 서비스를 제공하는 방법을 기술하고 있다.
