Analyzing Moderating Effects of WiBro User Experiences

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the determinants of actual demand for wireless broadband (WiBro) services in Korea. To this end, this study identifies conceptual definitions of diverse latent variables and determines the significance of the causal relationship between independent and dependent variables. It then presents the nomadic user concept by testing the moderator effect. This study also proposes a revised Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, which is an appropriate model for wireless communication services and users' attributes. Prior research has concentrated exclusively on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) based on future potential users. Compared to previous studies, the current research model and analysis results are useful in not only academic but also industry contexts.

Development Status of Operation Concept and Procedures for KASS

  • Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) is a Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) system under development in South Korea and aims to provide air navigation services after 2023. In order to provide reliable service, detailed design for the operation of this system is required. This paper proposes a detailed operation-based designs based on mission, architecture, operation definition of the system. For the stable operation of the system, an operation organization was designed and operation activities were classified in consideration of the architecture and function of the system. Detailed operation procedures were designed according to this classification and operation procedures related to the command and configuration of subsystem were verified on the Integration, Verification and Qualification (IVQ) platform for integrated testing and verification. The proposed operation concepts and procedures will be continuously confirmed and verified during verification, qualification and service preparation, and will be updated event after official KASS service.

  • Since Richard Feynman presented the concept of quantum computers, quantum computing have been identified today overcoming the limits of supercomputing in various applications. Quantum hardware has steadily developed into 50 to hundreds of qubits of various quantum hardware technologies based on superconductors, semiconductors, and trapped ions over 40 years. However, it is possible to use a NISQ (Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum) level quantum device that currently has hardware constraints. In addition, the software environment in which quantum algorithms for problem solving in various applications can be executed is pursuing research with quantum computing software such as programming language, compiler, control, testing and verification. The development of quantum software is essential amid intensifying technological competition for the commercialization of quantum computers. Therefore, this paper introduces the trends of the latest technology, focusing on quantum computing software platforms, and examines important software component technologies.

공산오차를 고려한 국내 포병사격장 안전기준 분석 연구 (A Study on Safety Standards for the Interior of an Artillery Firing Range Considering Probable Error)

  • Safety standards for long-range artillery ammunition test and training sites follow the US artillery shooting range safety zone standards. Although the South Korean geographical conditions of shooting ranges are different from those of the United States, there is no safety standard reflecting the South Korean topographical characteristics. Probable error associated with the shooting range, trajectory should be considered in establishing the safety standards. In this study, we present the safety standards for the ammunition testing site suitable for the Korean situation, with applying a concept of trajectory and probable error differed by ammunition type, which are currently confirmed by the South Korean Army's artillery shooting.

  • In 2017, 100 aftershocks with a magnitude of 2.0~3.0 and 615 minor earthquakes in Pohang in Korea caused the collapse and destruction of aggregate, tile, glass, and other structural components of multi-family houses constructed as finishing materials for buildings, causing damage to vehicles and casualties. Based on this factor, seismic design standards were established for non-structural elements of buildings that were applied only to past structures. Therefore, this study reinterpreted various vibration response spectra transmitted to waterproof layers as well as the definition and concept of the waterproof layer demand response spectrum derived by developing various vibration response test evaluation devices through a new testing apparatus.

지지간호가 군 요통환자의 우울ㆍ기분ㆍ만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Supportive Nursing Care on Depression, Mood and Satisfaction in Military Patients with Low Back Pain)

  • Support has always been considered an important nursing concept. However, there is no agreement among nurse researchers as to a conceptual definition of supportive nursing or meaningful supportive behaviors. Clarification of the concept, support in nursing, is necessary to promote communication among nurses on nursing behaviors that are effective in providing support and on understanding the relevant properties and charcteristics of the concept, supportive nursing care. The objectives of the study were : 1. to analyse the concept, support in nursing, in order to provide a definition of supportive nursing care, and 2. to operationalize the definition of supportive nursing care and use it as an experimental nursing intervention for patients with low back pain. The first part of the study used the concept analysis approach developed by Walker and Avant(1983) to define the concept of supportive nursing care. The properties of supportive nursing care, defined by this analysis, included perception of supportive need, reciprocal interaction(Transaction), listening, providing empathy and information related to health, and confirmation of the patient's verbal and non - verbal response. The second part, the experimental part of the study, was done using King's(1970) Interpersonal Theory for Nursing. The concept, supportive nursing care, as defined in the concept analysis was operationalized and used as the experimental intervention. The experiment tested the effectiveness of the independent variable, supportive nursing care on the dependent variables, depression, mood and patient satisfaction, in the patients with low back pain in army hospitals. The instruments used to measure the dependent variables were Zung's(1965) Self- Rating Depression Scale, Ryman and Colleagues'(1974) Mood Questionnaire and LaMonica and Colleagues'(1986) Patient Satisfaction Scale. The experimental design used for this study was a Solomon 4 group experimental design. This design has the strength of allowing for observation of the main effects of supportive nursing care and pretesting, and for observation of the interaction effects of pretesting and supportive nursing care. The design includes one experimental group and three control groups. The Subjects of this study were 150 young male patients with low back pain on Neuro - Surgical Wards in three general army hospitals. There were 35 in the experimental group, 39 in the pre - posttest control group, 36 in the treatment - posttest control group and 40 in the posttest only control group. Supportive nursing care, as operationalized by the researcher according to the concept analysis, was given to the patients in the experimental group and the treatment -posttest control group, individually for 30 minute sessions, every other day for 5 days. Data collection was done using a questionnaire. The data were collected in a pretest one week before the supportive nursing care sessions, a posttest immediately after the sessions and follow- up test one week later. Hypotheses testing was done using 2×2 factorial analysis of variance and Meta analysis(Stouffer's Z method). The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1. Hypothesis Ⅰ, “There will be a difference on depression level between the patients with low back pain who receive supportive nursing care and those who do not receive supportive nursing care”, was supported (F=8.49, p<.05). 2. Hypothesis Ⅱ, “There will be a difference on mood level between the patients with low back pain who receive supportive nursing care and those who to not receive supportive nursing care”, was supported (Z meta=2.17, p<.05). 3. Hypothesis Ⅲ, “There will be a difference on satisfaction level between the patients with low back pain who receive supportive nursing care and those who do not receive supportive nursing care”, was supported (F=13.67, p<.05). 4. ANOVA, done to examine the interaction effect of history and maturation, showed no significant difference on the dependent variables between the observations of the pretest scores of the experimental group, the pretest scores of the pre- posttest control group and the posttest score of the posttest only control group. 5. To test for continuing effect of supportive nursing care, paired t-test was done to compare the scores for the dependent variables at the posttest and at the one week later follow-up test. No significant difference on the scores for the dependent variables was found between the posttest scores and the follow-up test scores for the two groups that received supportive nursing care, the experimental group and the treatment-posttest control group. In conclusion, it was found that in the case of young soldiers with low back pain in army hospitals, their depression level was decreased, their mood state was changed positively and their satisfaction level was increased by receiving supportive nursing care. Further, the effectiveness of the supportive nursing care lasted for at least one week in this study. The significance of this study to nursing is in the analysis of the concept of supportive nursing care and the demonstration of the effectiveness of supportive nursing care as an intervention within the limits of the study.

기업연상이 소비자의 자아연관성과 개별브랜드의 충성도에 미치는 영향 (Individual Brand Loyalty and the Self-Corporate Connection Induced by Corporate Associations)

  • 이 연구는 기업연상의 유형을 기업능력연상과 사회적 책임연상으로 구분하고, 기업연상의 유형에 따라 기업과 연관되는 소비자의 자아 유형이 다르며, 기업과 소비자의 자아와의 연관성이 기업의 개별브랜드충성도에 영향을 미치는 과정을 분석하였다. 기업능력연상이 자신의 능력이나 개인적 성공의 관점에서 자신의 개인적 자아와 연관성을 형성하고, 기업의 사회적 책임연상은 다른 사람들의 시선에 관련된 소비자의 사회적 자아와의 연관성을 형성함을 탐색하고, 소비자의 개인적 자아 및 사회적 자아와의 연관성은 기업과의 동일시를 유도함을 분석하였다. 그리고 개인적 자아연관성은 기업의 개별브랜드 충성도에 직접적으로 긍정적인 영향을 주고, 또 동일시를 통하여 개별 브랜드의 충성도에 영향을 미침을 탐색하였다. 그런데 사회적 자아연관성은 직접적인 영향을 주지 않고 동일시를 통하여 개별 브랜드의 충성도에 영향을 미침을 탐색하였다.

AHP를 이용한 대안 평가의 유의성 분석: 비모수적 통계 검정 적용 (The Significance Test on the AHP-based Alternative Evaluation: An Application of Non-Parametric Statistical Method)

  • 공공사업 타당성 평가나 대안 선정에서는 대부분 AHP 기법을 활용하여 대안별 가중합 방식으로 최종 점수를 산정하고 그 값이 가장 큰 대안을 선택하고 있다. 특히 타당성 분석과 같은 경우에는 최종 점수가 0.5보다 큰 대안을 선택하게 되는데, 그 값이 0.5보다 얼마나 커야 의사결정이 의미있고 설득력있는 판단이라고 할 수 있는지에 대한 합리적인 기준 없이 적용되고 있다. 한국개발연구원(KDI)에서 제시한 방법론에는 사업진행 대안의 종합 점수가 0.5 근처에 있는 경우를 회색 영역으로 구분하여 신중한 결정을 하도록 제시하고 있는데, 세부기준에 관한 이론적 검토는 빈약하다. 반면, 통계적 검정의 개념을 도입하여 시도된 분석사례에서는 가중합 평가 점수의 확률분포로서 정규분포 또는 베타분포를 가정하였으나, 이에 대한 분포적 타당성은 제시되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 현재 다양한 분야에서 적용되고 있는 가중합 평가 방식의 사례를 검토하여 그 결과의 통계적 검정의 필요성을 제기하고, 통계적 검정을 위하여 특정 분포를 가정하지 않는 비모수적 검정 방법을 제시한다. 그리고 본 연구에서 제시한 방법을 국방 분야의 사례에 적용하고 그 함의와 함께 향후 연구의 발전방향을 제안한다.

MAGIC: GALILEO and SBAS Services in a Nutshell

  • GNSS Services and Applications are today in permanent evolution in all the market sectors. This evolution comprises: ${\bullet}$ New constellations and systems, being GALILEO probably the most relevant example, but not the only one, as other regions of the world also dwell into developing their own elements (e.g. the Chinese Beidou system). ${\bullet}$ Modernisation of existing systems, as is the case of GPS and GLONASS ${\bullet}$ New Augmentation services, WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, GRAS, GAGAN, and many initiatives from other regions of the world ${\bullet}$ Safety of Life services based on the provision of integrity and reliability of the navigation solutions through SBAS and GBAS systems, for aeronautical or maritime applications ${\bullet}$ New Professional applications, based on the unprecedented accuracies and integrity of the positioning and timing solutions of the new navigation systems with examples in science (geodesy, geophysics), Civil engineering (surveying, construction works), Transportation (fleet management, road tolling) and many others. ${\bullet}$ New Mass-market applications based on cheap and simple GNSS receivers providing accurate (meterlevel) solutions for daily personal navigation and information needs. Being on top of this evolving market requires an active participation on the key elements that drive the GNSS development. Early access to the new GNSS signals and services and appropriate testing facilities are critical to be able to reach a good market position in time before the next evolution, and this is usually accessible only to the large system developers as the US, Europe or Japan. Jumping into this league of GNSS developers requires a large investment and a significant development of technology, which may not be at range for all regions of the world. Bearing in mind this situation, MAGIC appears as a concept initiated by a small region within Europe with the purpose of fostering and supporting the development of advanced applications for the new services that can be enabled by the advent of SBAS systems and GALILEO. MAGIC is a low cost platform based on the application of technology developed within the EGNOS project (the SBAS system in Europe), which encompasses the capacity of providing real time EGNOS and, in the near future, GALILEO-like integrity services. MAGIC is designed to be a testing platform for safety of life and liability critical applications, as well as a provider of operational services for the transport or professional sectors in its region of application. This paper will present in detail the MAGIC concept, the status of development of the system within the Madrid region in Spain, the results of the first on-field demonstrations and the immediate plans for deployment and expansion into a complete SBAS+GALILEO regional augmentation system.

전기동력 수직이착륙 항공기의 복합재료 적용을 위한 소재인증 방안 고찰 (A Study on the Certification Method for the Application of Composite Material of eVTOL Aircraft)

  • 전 세계적으로 도심항공교통이 미래 혁신산업으로 주목받고 있으며 국내/외 유수의 산업체들은 신개념의 전기동력 수직이착륙 항공기 설계 및 제작에 구조적 강건성과 경량화를 위해 복합재료의 적용을 고려하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 신개념의 전기동력 수직이착륙 항공기에 복합재료를 적용하기 위하여 항공선진국의 복합재료 인증체계 및 국내 실정에 적합한 항공용 복합재료 인증 절차 및 방법, 재료 입증을 수행할 조직구성 등 항공안전기본계획에 의해 제도화된 복합재료 인증체계에 대해 분석하였다. 국내에서 수립된 항공용 복합재료 인증체계에 의해 신개념의 전기동력 수직이착륙 항공기 제작사는 사전 소재인증을 통해 국산 항공기에 복합재료를 적용하는 것이 용이해졌을 뿐만 아니라 형식증명 기간 내에 소재 입증에 대한 부담이 감소할 것이다. 또한, 재료 품질 및 성능이 입증된 국산 복합재료의 제작사는 국산 항공기 적용을 위한 진입이 수월할 것이며 항공기에 적용한 경험이 있는 재료 제작사는 해외 수출에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 이를 통해 신개념의 전기동력 수직이착륙 항공기 산업발전을 도모하고 국내에서 제작된 기체의 국제적 신인도 제고를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
