Analysis of Learner Competencies through Digital Textbooks and Smart-Learning (디지털교과서 및 스마트교육을 통한 학습자 역량 분석)

  • In this study, we research an analysis of learner competency with students in 16 smart education research schools. The result of analysis, 2-year students showed a highly regarded competences which are the learner competencies in all areas than 1-year students. And the urban students was higher than rural students. This means that urban students have higher awareness of the learner competencies than rural students. Lastly, in a comprehensive analysis of each school year, the statistical differences between elementary and middle school did not appear. However, in the elementary, middle and high school between the difference was statistically.

  • The purpose of this paper is to implement the educational application related to the Plant's Life Cycle Unit in 4th Grade Science Textbook, based on the National Curriculum. This should lead to teachers incorporating them into classes and for students to get practical help when they are studying about plants. Through this application, teachers will be able to experience the so-called Blended Learning while using both off-line and mobile teaching methods. It will also be possible for students to review what they learn during the classes and do their projects regardless of time and place. This type of learning is expected to motivate learners and enhance the learning experience by stimulating the students' interest.

The Analysis of Inquisitive Tendency of 'Problem-Solving Method and Process' Section in High School Informatics Textbooks (고등학교 '정보' 교과서에서 '문제 해결 방법과 절차' 영역의 탐구적 경향 분석)

  • In this paper, inquisitive tendency was analyzed within the 'problem solving method and process' section in high school informatics textbooks, which were adopted starting from 2011. Romey analysis was applied to each four section - text, data, activity, evaluation - in six textbooks. The results showed that the textbooks displayed a low level of inquisitive tendency since they were written without much of participation from students. Out of the sections that were analyzed, the section 'activity' showed the highest degree of inquisitive tendency. Also, based on the obtained results, we proposed ways to improve high school informatics textbooks.

Development of Evaluation Criteria on Digital Text-book (디지털 교과서의 평가 준거 개발)

  • The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has been developing the digital textbooks from 2007. But the evaluation criteria on the digital textbooks is not prepared, so it is difficult to develop excellent digital textbooks and to select superior ones. In this study, we researched into the concept, attributes and functions of the digital textbook in order to select the evaluation indicators, based on the literature reviews of digital textbooks, core evaluation measures and criteria were identified. And three methods were employed: a Delphi study, expert forums, and simulation tests. The results of these studies led the development of an evaluation criteria which consisted of four evaluation areas and 74 questions. The four evaluation areas consisted of content area, instrument design area, platform area and user area.

  • The "Information and Communication Technology Education Guidelines" was revised in December, 2005. However, students are still not taught the contents in the "Information and Communication Technology Education Guidelines Rev." and are not taught the contents in the "Understanding of the Information Processing" area among them in particular. Therefore, we analyzed the contents in the "Understanding of the Information Processing" area of the elementary ICT textbooks published on and after June 2006. In the result, the contents of many textbooks are not based on the "Information and Communication Technology Education Revised Guidelines" and programming languages using elementary school are too many. The revision of the elementary ICT textbooks must be settled without delay and the certification systems of elementary ICT textbooks must be improved.

Thus, the effectiveness of the video content streaming services smartphone will be available. And content should be able to deliver effectively. In this paper, we propose a integrated video management system that can be real-time VOD services on the Internet as input Multi-Source of audio-video, video content encoding system to meet the requirements of the above two.

  • 일반적으로 대학생들은 연간 약 50만원이 소요되는 전공 서적 구매비용에 부담감이 있는 것으로 조사된다. 이러한 대학생들을 위해 비교적 저렴한 교재용 전자책 서비스를 전문적으로 제공해 주는 애플리케이션이 없다. 본 논문에서는 대학생들을 위한 전공 및 교양 교재를 대상으로 대여를 포함한 전자책 제공 서비스가 가능한 모바일 앱을 설계한다. 제시하는 서비스 앱은 교재용 전자책을 대상으로 온라인 서점, 출판사, 도선관 등으로부터 전자책 정보를 수집하여 사용자에게 제공하고, 이를 대상으로 대여 또는 구매가 가능한 서비스를 제공한다. 제공되는 전자책 파일은 불법 배포를 방지하기 위해 DRM 방식을 사용하여 전용 뷰어를 통해 제공되어지도록 설계한다. 개발되는 앱을 통해서 대학생이 겪는 문제 중 하나인 교재비용 경감과 더불어, 종이책 생산을 줄임으로써 지구환경 보존에 기여할 수 있다.

  • 컴퓨터와 통신의 발달은 멀티미디어 개발 및 보급에 기여하였으며, 특히 인쇄매체를 대체하고 '전자'화된 전자교과서 시대를 열었다. 그리하여 그 동안 많은 전자교과서 모형 설계 및 개발이 이루어져 왔으며, 그 효과 또한 입증 된 바 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전자교과서의 이점을 살려 초등학교 특별활동 의식행사 활성화에 기여하고자 한다. 현행 초등학교에서 특별활동 일환으로 실시되고 있는 의식행사는 '교과교육 외의 활동'으로 취급 되어 지면서, 교과서 없이 지도서만 가지고 형식적이고 한시적인 내부계획에 따라 진행 되었다. 이에 초등학교 특별활동 의식행사 전자교과서 모형 개발을 제안한다. 이 모형은 학습자로 하여금 다양한 멀티미디어 자료 학습을 통해 흥미와 관심을 갖고 의식행사에 참여할 수 있게 설계 하였으며, 기존의 전자교과서 기능에서 전자노트 기능을 추가하였다. 또한 교수자 측면에서는 전자교과서를 쉽고 간단하게 학습에 적용시킬 수 있도록, 학습모형에 기반 하여 설계함은 물론, 학습자료 구성하기 및 훈화자료 만들기 시스템을 통해 전자교과서의 활용 폭을 넓혔다.

  • Sourcing Simulator is specialized form of software capable of providing great insight into merchandising decision making. It is relatively easy to learn and operate by reading the help menus, experimenting with inputs, and critically analyzing outputs. 1 see that it has great potential in a training program for new merchandisers to help them absorb the complexity of the numbers they must effectively use. The Sourcing Simulator, Version 1 that accompanies my textbook, Merchandising: Theory Principles, and Practice, 2nd ed. is the least complex version available. Two versions are available from [TC]2 - Retail version and The Retail/ Manufacturing version. The Retail Version is very similar to the Version 1. The Retail/ Manufacturing Version includes analysis of processes and costs in the manufacturing process as well as the merchandise planning component that we have discussed here. Sourcing Simulator is developed at North Carolina State University by Dr. Russ King, and available from Textile Clothing Technology Corporation $[TC]^2$, Cary, North Carolina.

  • In order to educate future leaders of the new age, we should help students to increase their basic knowledge, thinking and problem solving ability. It is necessary that we should use multi-media, computer as well as old teaching-learning material to improve students' basic knowledge and to motivate their interest in mathematics in the small-sized Middle School situated on the agricultural and fishery village. In solving this problem, it is ultimately necessary that we should utilize CAI program on the learning achievement in mathematics for the students to understand basic concept, principle, law and to promote teaching-learning process considered on individual different abilities. Therefore, this study is on the effect of students' interest and learning achievement in mathematics when we develop CAI program focusing on the lesson statistics in the 3rd Grade Middle School Mathematics Textbook and explain the concept and principle of statistics through using exact and various techniques of computers
