수중운동체의 심도제어를 위한 제어기 설계 (Controller design for depth control of vehicle under seawater)

  • In ordaer to hold an underwater vehicle at a certain depth, buoyancy that acts on the underwater vehicle can be modulated. In this research, buoyancy that could control depth of underwater vehicle is generated by a buoyancy bag. Solenoid valves are operated by pulse with modulation(PWM) method. State equation, in consideration of the volume of buoyancy bag, pressure inside bag, and dynamic of the underwater vehicle, is derived. This system is very unstable, inculdes modelling error and nonlinearity. In depth control system, maintanance of performance is required., anainst vatiation of systerm parameter and operating depth, and designed. Through the computer simulation, performance is comparerd for each controllers.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 제작된 차량을 대상으로 임펄스 입력이 가하여졌을 때의 동적 특성을 예측하기 위하여 동적 모델링과 연립 운동 방정식을 구하고 수치 적 분 계산 프로그램을 작성하였다. 또한 상용 프로그램인 ADAMS를 이용하여 범프를 통 과할 때의 차량의 동적 거동을 구하고 이를 실험적으로 검증하여 모델의 타당성을 입 증하였다.

A comprehensive approach to flow-based seismic risk analysis of water transmission network

  • Earthquakes are natural disasters that cause serious social disruptions and economic losses. In particular, they have a significant impact on critical lifeline infrastructure such as urban water transmission networks. Therefore, it is important to predict network performance and provide an alternative that minimizes the damage by considering the factors affecting lifeline structures. This paper proposes a probabilistic reliability approach for post-hazard flow analysis of a water transmission network according to earthquake magnitude, pipeline deterioration, and interdependency between pumping plants and 154 kV substations. The model is composed of the following three phases: (1) generation of input ground motion considering spatial correlation, (2) updating the revised nodal demands, and (3) calculation of available nodal demands. Accordingly, a computer code was developed to perform the hydraulic analysis and numerical modelling of water facilities. For numerical simulation, an actual water transmission network was considered and the epicenter was determined from historical earthquake data. To evaluate the network performance, flow-based performance indicators such as system serviceability, nodal serviceability, and mean normal status rate were introduced. The results from the proposed approach quantitatively show that the water network is significantly affected by not only the magnitude of the earthquake but the interdependency and pipeline deterioration.

다층 신경회로망을 이용한 비선형 시스템의 견실한 제어 (Robust control of nonlinear system using multilayer neural network)

  • In this paper, we describe the algorithm which controls an unknown nonlinear system with disturbance a using multilayer neural network. The multilayer neural network can be used to approximate any continuous function to any desired degree of accuracy. With the former fact, we approximate an unknown nonlinear system by using of multilayer neural netowrk. WE include a disturbance among the modelling error, and the weight-update rule of multilayer neural network is derived to satisfy Laypunov stability. The whole control system constitutes controller using the feedback linearization method. The weight of neural network which is used to implement nonlinear function is updated by the derived update-rule. The proposed control algorithm is verified through computer simulation.

고속 팬터그래프의 새로운 동적 모형 및 외란관측기를 이용한 제어기 설계 (Modelling of High-Speed Pantograph and Controller Design Using Disturbance Observer)

  • The pantograph-catenary system is one of important components for high-speed rail system that are powered electrically. Electrical power is delivered from a catenary structure to the train via a pantograph and thus it is very important to regulate the contact force between catenary and pantograph. Although a lot of research results for active pantograph have been reported, most of them have made an unrealistic assumption that the catenary displacement is constant with respect to the time. In this paper, we present a new pantograph model that regards the catenary displacement as an unknown disturbance input. Moreover, a disturbance observer based controller is proposed to remove the effect of disturbance, i.e., the catenary displacement variation. The computer simulation result shows that the substantial improvement in regulating the contact force can be achieved by the proposed controller.

배전계통 고장위치 검출방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimating Locations of Faults on Distribution Power Systems)

  • The Conventional approach for estimating the locations of transmission line shunt faults has been to measure the apparent impedance to the fault from a line terminal and to convert the reactive component of the impedance to line length. But, these methods do not adequately address the problems associated with the fault location on distribution systems. This thesis presents a technique that estimates the location of shunt fault on a radial distribution system that has several single and multiphase laterals. Tapped loads and non-homogenity of the distribution system are take into account. The developed technique, which can handle shunt faults was tested to evaluate its suitability. Results from computer simulation of faults on a model of a 25KV distribution lines like real system are presented. The results approved that the proposed technique works well for estimating the locations of the distribution line shunt faults.

  • This paper deals with the efficiency evaluations in a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) using a coupled transient finite element method (FEM) and Preisach modeling, which is Presented to analyze the characteristics under the effect of saturation and hysteresis loss. The focus of this paper is the efficiency evaluation relative to hysteresis loss, copper loss, etc. on the basis of speed, load condition in a SynRM. Computer simulation and experimental result for the efficiency using dynamometer show the propriety of the proposed method.

  • The goal of the present paper is to show the optimum design and operation conditions on 6 kW solar water heating system by using computer simulation with verified modelling. As the object functions, we took not only the amount of acquired and auxiliary heat but LCC, which has a relative importance and decisive role in economy. As expected, the maximum heat is acquired at the slope of collector with the equal degree to the latitude, facing the south. The capacity increase of the circulation pump and the storage tank lead to the increase of acquired heat and the decrease of auxiliary heat, but do not necessarily give economical advantages owing to additional electrical power consumption. In the present system, the minimum LCC can be obtained at the storage tank volume of 450 L and the mass flow rate of 0.344 kg/s.

  • As most of today's automatic transmissions in passenger car adopt a electro-hydraulic control system, the role of electronically controlled solenoid valves occupies an important position and it is essential to predict solenoid transient characteristics in order to design and evaluate the performance of the hydraulic control system. However, in general, both the magnetic and electrical parameters f the solenoid system are hardly known and it is not easy to model this section with moderate complexity although mechanical system could be developed using the classical second order system. This paper presents a dynamic modelling technique of a solenoid valve, that is controlled by pulse width modulation for an automatic transmission, in terms of system identification theory. In nonlinear computer simulation, it is shown that the identified systems which produce magnetic force to input duty cycle for various excitation signals predict the static and dynamic performance very well near the operating point and in experiment conducted to confirm the validity of identification theory for PWM solenoid valve, we find that there is a good agreement between the experimental data and simulation result. Hence, this model can be utilized in the development of pressure control system with PWM solenoid valve.

  • In Pusan Harbour, new port development projects are implemented such as the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal, Pusan New Port, the Nary $\infty$ piers, etc. which will require new marine traffic environments in the Passage I of Pusan Harbour Specially, the turning basin of the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal gas been designed to overlay the Passage I of Pusan Harbour, Which will interrupt the inbound traffic flow and the results will be worried to decrease the efficiency of port operation. Therefore, this paper will be aimed to evaluate the traffic congestion in the Pusan Passage I due to the opening of new ports within Pusan Harbour in 2006 and 2011 by using computer simulation based the queueing theory.
