입력 공간의 변환을 이용한 새로운 방식의 퍼지 모델링-KL 변환 방식 (A transformed input-domain approach to fuzzy modeling-KL transform approch)

  • In many situations, it is very important to identify a certain unkown system, it from its input-output data. For this purpose, several system modeling algorithms have been suggested heretofore, and studies regarding the fuzzy modeling based on its nonlinearity get underway as well. Generatlly, fuzzy models have the capability of dividing input space into several subspaces, compared to linear ones. But hitherto subggested fuzzy modeling algorithms do not take into consideration the correlations between components of sample input data and address them independently of each other, which results in ineffective partition of input space. Therefore, to solve this problem, this letter proposes a new fuzzy modeling algorithm which partitions the input space more efficiently that conventional methods by taking into consideration correlations between components of sample data. As a way to use correlation and divide the input space, the method of principal component is ued. Finally, the results of computer simulation are given to demonstrate the validity of this algorithm.

동적계획법을 이용한 자작 하이브리드 자동차의 용량 매칭 (Component Sizing for the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) of Our Own Making Using Dynamic Programming)

  • Generally, the fuel economy of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is effected by the size of each component. In this study the fuel economy for HEV of our own making is evaluated using backward simulator, where dynamic programming is applied. In a competition, the vehicle is running through the road course that includes many speed bumps and steep grade. Therefore, the new driving cycle including road grade is developed for the simulation. The backward simulator is also developed through modeling each component. A performance map of engine and motor for component sizing is made from the existing engine map and motor map adapted to the HEV of our own making. For optimal component sizing, the feasible region is defined by restricting the power range of power sources. Optimal component size for best fuel economy is obtained within the feasible region through the backward simulation.

  • 현재의 소프트웨어 아키텍처에 관한 연구는 컴포넌트 집합과 같은 소프트웨어 시스템을 구성하는 객체 또는 컴포넌트의 상호 동작 및 관련성을 보다 효과적으로 연결할 수 있는 다양한 기법이 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Java Beans에 기반을 둔 분산 시스템 환경에서 객체와 객체간에 관련성을 모델링하기 위해 컴포넌트, 연결자 및 컴포넌트 스키마로 구성된 구조화된 모델을 제시하고 구현한다. 특히 Java Beans에서 객체간의 관련성을 모델링하기 위한 연결자의 구성에 중점을 둔다. 본 연구에서 제시된 연결자 모델은 Java Beans기반 분산 시스템 환경에서 다양한 객체간의 의존성을 명확하게 표현하는데 효과적이며 분산되어 있는 컴포넌트를 정형화된 방법으로 통합할 수 있는 효과를 가진다.

  • 컴포넌트의 런타임 갱신은 컴포넌트를 사용하는 프로그램을 종료하지 않고, 기존에 사용하는 컴포넌트를 그 내부가 새로 변경된 컴포넌트로 교환하는 기술이다. 최근 소프트웨어 개발에서는 기존 컴포넌트를 재활용하여 새로운 소프트웨어를 개발하는 추세이다. 그러나 컴포넌트가 시간 측면에서 연속적인 서비스를 제공해야하는 소프트웨어에 사용될 때 컴포넌트를 새롭게 기능이 바뀐 것으로 변경하려면 기존 소프트웨어를 종료해야한다. 이 경우 기존 소프트웨어의 서비스를 제공받는 사용자는 서비스를 다시 요구해야 되며 때로는 자신이 사용하는 정보를 손실하는 경우도 발생한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 기존 컴포넌트 갱신 방법의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 소프트웨어를 종료하지 않고 그 소프트웨어를 구성하는 컴포넌트를 새로운 컴포넌트로 갱신하기 위한 방법을 제시한다.

자유항주모형시험과 회귀분석을 통한 선체 동역학 모델의 개발 (Development of Ship Dynamics Model by Free-Running Model Tests and Regression)

  • The present study suggests a procedure of establishing a ship dynamics modeling by regression of free-running model test results. The hydrodynamic force and moment of the whole model ship is derived from the low-pass filtered acceleration in the turning circle and zigzag maneuver tests. Force and moment of the propeller and rudder are separated from that of the whole ship to acquire the hull force and moment terms, based on the principles of the component model. The low-pass filter frequency is verified in prior to dynamics modeling, to find the threshold frequency of 2.5 Hz. The dynamics modeling of the hull is compared with the component modeling by captive model tests. Because of strong correlation between sway velocity, yaw angular velocity, and heel angle, each maneuvering coefficient is not able to be validated, but the whole modeling shows good agreement with the captive model tests.

  • 본 논문은 국내 자동차산업을 대상으로 개발된 응용시스템으로, UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 이용한 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)기반의 안전한 전자조달(E-Procurement) 시스템을 제안하고 있다. 컴포넌트 개발기법인 UML 방법론의 활용으로 자동차산업의 구매업무 Workflow가 분석되었으며, XML 기반의 EDI(Electronic Data Interchange)와 전자서명 기능을 구현함으로써 기업간 구매업무를 자동화하는 효율적인 E-Procurement 시스템 프로토타입이 구현되었다. 또한 본 논문은 기존 정보공학방법론에서 한계로 지적되던 S/W의 재사용성과 Life Cycle의 위험을 줄인 컴포넌트 개발기법을 활용하고, 기업내 Legacy 시스템인 ERP와의 연동을 가능하게 하였다. 본 시스템은 기존 시스템이 제공하지 못하는 워크플로우(workflow)분석 및 설계, 컴포넌트 개발, 기업내부 시스템과의 연동, 그리고 전자문서의 무결성과 인증을 위한 XML 전자서명을 적용하는 해법을 제안하고 있다.

주성분 분석을 통한 선박 기관 상태의 차수 축소 모델링 (Reduced Order Modeling of Marine Engine Status by Principal Component Analysis)

  • The present study concerns reduced order modeling of a marine diesel engine, which can be used for outlier detection in status monitoring and carbon intensity index calculation. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is introduced for the reduced order modeling, focusing on the feasibility of detecting and treating nonlinear variables. By cross-correlation, it is found that there are seven non-linear data channels among 23 data channels, i.e., fuel mode, exhaust gas temperature after the turbocharger, and cylinder coolant temperatures. The dataset is handled so that the mean is located at the nominal continuous rating. Polynomial presentation of the dataset is also applied to reflect the linearity between the engine speed and other channels. The first principal mode shows strong effects of linearity of the most data channels to show the linearity of the system. The non-linear variables are effectively explained by other modes. second mode concerns the temperature of the cylinder cooling water, which shows small correlation with other variables. The third and fourth modes correlates the fuel mode and turbocharger exhaust gas temperature, which have inferior linearity to other channels. PCA is proven to be applicable to data given in binary type of fuel mode selection, as well as numerical type data.

  • Informations of the solar radiation component are essential for modeling various solar energy systems. These Informations are particularly used for middle and high temperature applications, those need concentrating direct normal insolation. In order to estimate the performance of concentrating systems, it is necessary to know the intensity of the beam radiation, as only this component can be concentrated. The Korea Institute of Energy Research(KIER) has began collecting solar radiation component data since August, 1996. KIER's component data will be extensively used by concentrating system users or designers as well as by research institutes.

  • A recently developed electro-thermal simulation methodology is used to analyze the behavior of a PWM(Pulse-Width-Modulated) voltage source inverter which uses IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) as the switching devices. In the electro-thermal network simulation methdology, the simulator solves for the temperature distribution within the power semiconductor devices(IGBT electro-thermal model), control logic circuitry, the IGBT gate drivers, the thermal network component models for the power silicon chips, package, and heat sinks as well as the current and voltage within the electrical network. The thermal network describes the flow of heat form the chip surface through the package and heat sink and thus determines the evolution of the chip surface temperature used by the power semiconductor device models. The thermal component model for the device silicon chip, packages, and heat sink are developed by discretizing the nonlinear heat diffusion equation and are represented in component from so that the thermal component models for various package and heat sink can be readily connected to on another to form the thermal network.

유역 모델 특성 및 국내 적용 현황과 발전 방향에 대한 검토 (Review of Features and Applications of Watershed-scale Modeling, and Improvement Strategies of it in South-Korea)

  • In South Korea, the concept of water environment was expanded to include aquatic ecosystems with the Integrated Water Management implementation. Watershed-scale modeling is typically performed for hydrologic component analysis, however, there is a need to expand to include ecosystem variability such that the modeling corresponds to the social and political issues around the water environment. For this to be viable, the modeling must account for several distinct features in South Korean watersheds. The modeling must provide reasonable estimations for peak flow rate and apply to paddy areas as they represent 11% of land use area and greatly influence groundwater levels during irrigation. These facts indicate that the modeling time intervals should be sub-daily and the hydrologic model must have sufficient power to process surface flow, subsurface flow, and baseflow. Thus, the features required for watershed-scale modeling are suggested in this study by way of review of frequently used hydrologic models including: Agricultural Policy/Environmental eXtender(APEX), Catchment hydrologic cycle analysis tool(CAT), Hydrological Simulation Program-FORTRAN(HSPF), Spatio-Temporal River-basin Ecohydrology Analysis Model(STREAM), and Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT).
