객체지향 데이터베이스를 이용한 전력계통 해석 (Power System Analysis using OODB)

  • The complex documentation involved in power system analysis software require a well-defined and friendly database system. We have developed an object-oriented database management system for power system analysis, and have described load flow analysis and transient stability analysis using object-oriented database(OODB). Database management systems are widely used and achieve high reliability of data management in the engineering fields. However relational database system have shortcomings in application to power system analysis. ill relational database, the data model is too simple for modeling complex data and database languages are very different from programming languages. Object-oriented techniques are sufficiently powerful to support data-modeling requirements of GUI applications. The GUI is implemented using C++ on a MS windows platform. The OODB supports data modeling requirements of GUI applications and the performance is well acceptable for Gill applications.

Modeling the Effects of Low Impact Development on Runoff and Pollutant Loads from an Apartment Complex

  • The effects of low impact development (LID) techniques, such as green roofs and porous pavements, on the runoff and pollutant load from an apartment complex were simulated using the Site Evaluation Tool (SET). The study site was the Olympic Village, a preexisting apartment complex in Seoul, South Korea, which has a high percentage of impervious surfaces (approximately 72% of the total area). Using the SET, the effects of replacing parking lots, sidewalks and driveways (37.5% of the total area) having porous pavements and rooftops (14.5% of the total area) with green roofs were simulated. The simulation results indicated that LID techniques reduced the surface runoff, and peak flow and pollutant load, and increased the evapotranspiration and soil infiltration of precipitation. Per unit area, the green roofs were better than the porous pavements at reducing the surface runoff and pollutant loads, while the porous pavements were better than green roofs at enhancing the infiltration to soil. This study showed that LID methods can be useful for urban stormwater management and that the SET is a useful tool for evaluating the effects of LID on urban hydrology and pollutant loads from various land covers.

  • The large buildings in Korea usually use the generators to control the peak load of electronic consumption during the summer. It is necessary that these generators emit carbon dioxide, since they use gas or gasoline for their fuel. This study is to analyze the data of electronic consumption and operation of the generators at COEX, one of the representative complex building clusters in Korea, and to compare to the amount of carbon dioxide emitted per 1kWh from the domestic power plant by analogizing the frequency of using the generator during the summer and the amount of fuel consumption by the capacity of the generator and estimating the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from the generator.

음향 재질의 복소수 모듈러스 추출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Determining Complex Young's Modulus of Acoustic Materials)

  • 음향 재질의 복소수 모듈러스(Complex Young's modulus)는 정적하중하에서 주파수에 따라 변하므로 재질의 동특성 규명을 위해 손실을 가지는 rod로 모델링 된 원통형 시편을 사용, 한쪽 끝은 가진기로 축방향 조화가진을 하고, 타단에서는 부가 질량체를 부착시켜 이의 전달 함수를 구한다. 전달 함수 방법은 축방향으로 가진된 rod로 모델링하여 가진기의 주파수 범위인 50~20000Hz에서 이론 및 실험적으로 해석된다. 또한 발생가능한 오차의 원인을 규명하고자 시편이가지는 포아송비(Poisson's ratio)에 기인한 측면운동, 끝단효과(End Effect), 손실계수가 작은 경우의 측정오차 및 시편 끝단의 접착제 효과를 분석하였으며 형상계수의 도입에 의해 측면운동에 의한 오차를 보상하였다.

더블-액션 압출공정을 적용한 전동조향장치용 토션조인트 요크 개발 (Development of a Torsion Joint Yoke for Motor-Driven Power Steering System Using a Double-Action Extrusion Process)

  • The yoke, a component of conventional motor-driven power steering system, often contains welding defects from its manufacturing process. To eliminate these defects, the precision cold forging process has been tried. In this study, the double-action complex forging has been used to manufacture a torsion joint yoke. The backward extrusion proved faster than the forward extrusion in forging of the product. The double-action complex forging process utilized an upper die composed of a punch, a punch guide, a disc spring and a coil spring. The forged material pushes up the punch guide, and then the disc spring and the coil spring balances the backward extrusion force. Consequently, the flow of material was essentially in the forward direction, resulting in a successful forging operation. The forging load of Al 6061-T6 was higher than that of the automotive structural hot rolled plate.

공동주택 단지의 주동형식에 따른 냉난방 에너지 비용 분석 (An Analysis of Heating and Cooling Energy Cost according to Building Type of Apartment Complex)

  • This study aims to investigate the energy performance of apartment in respect of complex design, building type and generation house layout and finally to produce the guide line for energy saving design. To grasp the present condition and problem about this subject, apartment building types were examined and representative types were extracted. Considering azimuth angle, private area, and generation number, building type of the subject apartment was classified in detail, energy simulation was conducted, and the effect to energy cost was compared. In the research, using VE energy simulation program, the heating and cooling load were calculated and converted to energy cost. It is expected that this analysed results will be basic data for the more integrated study. Research consequence can be summarized as follow: 1) Energy cost is compared according to several azimuth in plank '一' type apartment. As the results, calculated gas cost is the best in $49^{\circ}$, but total cost is in $-31^{\circ}$. 2) Apartment buildings of tower types are compared, it is resulted that 'Y' type (azimuth $-7^{\circ}$, $-20^{\circ}$) is the best in gas cost, but the total cost is worst because of high cooling load.

  • 본 연구는 가정 내에서 사용하는 가전 기기의 사용 에너지를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 비접촉 가전 기기 식별 기법을 제시한다. 제안하는 기법은 총 전력 사용량 정보를 이용한 기존의 가전 기기 식별 기법을 개선하기 위해서 복합 센서 정보를 종합적으로 활용한다. 이를 위해서 기기 상태와 측정된 센서 값 간의 영향도를 그래프 형태로 정의한다. 기기 상태에 영향을 미치는 복합 센서를 표현하는 영향도 그래프를 통해 기기 식별 예측 결과를 계산하기 위해 총 전력 사용량 기반 예측값과 센서 데이터 처리 알고리즘 예측값의 가중치 합을 사용한다. 시뮬레이션 실험을 통한 성능 분석으로 기존 비접촉 가전 기기 식별 기법의 기기 식별 정확도와 비교한다.

  • 본논문은 트란지스터발진기의 발진영역과 부저항의 변화에 대하여 하나의 새로운 방법을 써서 고찰한 것이다. 트란지스터귀환발진기의 발진영역을, 귀환소자임피이던스의 복소평면상에 나타내면 원이 된다. 그리고, 귀환소자임퍼이던스의 저항분을 일정하게 하고, 리액턴스분을 변화시키거나, 혹은 이와 반대로 리액틴스분을 일정하게하고, 저항분을 변화시킬 때, 출력콘덕턴스가 극소로 되는 점의 궤적은 쌍곡선이 된다. 트란지스터수정발진기에서는, 발진영역은 부하임퍼이던스의 복소평면상에서, 입력임피이던스의 실수부 및 허수부를 0이 되게 하는, 두개의 원에 의하여 정해진다. 그리고, 부하임피이던스의 저항분을 일정하게 하고 리액턴스분을 변화시키거나, 혹은 반대로 리액턴스분을 일정하게 하고 저항분을 변화시킬 때, 입력저항을 극대 또는 극소로 되게 한는 점의 궤적은, 네 개의 직선이 된다.

깊은 보의 스트럿-타이 모델과 고전적인 방법의 설계 비교 (Comparison of Deep Beam Designed by Two Models of STM and ACI Traditional)

  • Deep beam shall be designed either by taking into account nonlinear distribution of strain or by Appendix A of Strut-and-Tie Models (STM) according to ACI 318(M) from version of 2002. Although STM is accepted as tool in design Discontinuity region (D-region) which mostly exist in Deep beam, Corbels, Dapped ends etc., it has been modified by many researchers. In this study we design deep beam by STMs which use simple truss for load distribution and the model of complex truss for load distribution compare with the ACI traditional which is designed by flexure design method and shear provided by concrete($V_c$) as provided in special provisions section of 11.8 in ACI 318-99 [1]. This study aims to find the different and efficiency of deep beam design based on variation of parameter compiled from many samples selected from ACI traditional and two model of STMs, simple and complex load distribution.

Complete moment-curvature relationship of reinforced normal- and high-strength concrete beams experiencing complex load history

  • The moment-curvature relationship of reinforced concrete beams made of normal- and high-strength concrete experiencing complex load history is studied using a numerical method that employs the actual stress-strain curves of the constitutive materials and takes into account the stress-path dependence of the concrete and steel reinforcement. The load history considered includes loading, unloading and reloading. From the results obtained, it is found that the complete moment-curvature relationship, which is also path-dependent, is similar to the material stress-strain relationship with stress-path dependence. However, the unloading part of the moment-curvature relationship of the beam section is elastic but not perfectly linear, although the unloading of both concrete and steel is assumed to be linearly elastic. It is also observed that when unloading happens, the variation of neutral axis depth has different trends for under- and over-reinforced sections. Moreover, even when the section is fully unloaded, there are still residual curvature and stress in the section in some circumstances. Various issues related to the post-peak behavior of reinforced concrete beams are also discussed.
