An alternative architecture for application-driven fuzzy systems

  • An alternative approach to the design of application-driven fuzzy systems is proposed. A broad class of fuzzy systems applications requires a certain fuzzy partition of the input space while it demands for simple numerical quantities. For this class, a dedicated fuzzy system archictecture is presented and a design strategy is proposed. Both the single-input/single-output and multi-input/multi-output cases are considered. Numerical analysis are complete illustrating several aspects of the proposed framework.

  • The developed in-flex system completed the wiring work with the plug-in connection. To maintain electrical and mechanical stability, and an insulation between the conductors was strengthened by forming a partition. Moreover, the error according to a bad connection was prevented by separating the inlet from the outlet of the electric trace and thus the quick construction become possible. The metal reinforcing material was added outside the upper case and lower case. The fire-resistance efficiency was maximized in order to minimize a damage by the fire. As to the developed system, we found that it takes shorter time to complete installation than the rigid steel conduit wiring work, and that about 25 % of construction cost was saved because the labor costs decrease due to the shorter construction period of time.

  • Let T=( $T_1$,…, $T_{k}$;k$\geq$2) be a minimal sufficient and complete statistic for a k-parameter exponential model. Consider a partition of T into ( $T_1$, $T_2$), where $T_1$=( $T_1$,…, $T_{r}$ and $T_2$=( $T_{r+1}$,…, $T_{k}$1$\leq$r$\leq$k-1/). This article represents a way to obtain higher moments such as skewness and kurtosis for the distribution T and the conditional distribution of $T_1$, given $T_2$= $t_2$.   • A number of previous researches in evolutionary algorithm are based on the study of facets we observe in natural evolution. The individuals of species in natural evolution occupy their own niche that is a subdivision of the habitat. This means that two species with the similar requirements cannot live together in the same niche. This is known as the competitive exclusion principle, i.e., complete competitors cannot coexist. In this paper, a new evolutionary programming algorithm adopting this concept is presented.   • Let G be a simple graph with vertex set V(G) and edge set E(G). A subset S of E(G) is called an edge cover of G if the subgraph induced by S is a spanning subgraph of G. The maximum number of edge covers which form a partition of E(G) is called edge covering chromatic number of G, denoted by X'c(G). It is known that for any graph G with minimum degree ${\delta},\;{\delta}-1{\le}X'c(G){\le}{\delta}$. If $X'c(G) ={\delta}$, then G is called a graph of CI class, otherwise G is called a graph of CII class. It is easy to prove that the problem of deciding whether a given graph is of CI class or CII class is NP-complete. In this paper, we consider the classification of nearly bipartite graph and give some sufficient conditions for a nearly bipartite graph to be of CI class.

  • In this paper, we derive analytical closed results for the first (a, b)-KA index, the Sombor index, the modified Sombor index, the first reduced (a, b)-KA index, the reduced Sombor index, the reduced modified Sombor index, the second reduced (a, b)-KA index and the mean Sombor index mSOα for the OTIS biswapped networks by considering basis graphs as path, wheel graph, complete bipartite graph and r-regular graphs. Network theory plays a significant role in electronic and electrical engineering, such as signal processing, networking, communication theory, and so on. A topological index (TI) is a real number associated with graph networks that correlates chemical networks with a variety of physical and chemical properties as well as chemical reactivity. The Optical Transpose Interconnection System (OTIS) network has recently received increased interest due to its potential uses in parallel and distributed systems.

  • In mobile communication systems, location management deals with the location determination of users in a network. One of the strategies used in location management is to partition the network into location areas. Each location area consists of a group of cells. The goal of location management is to partition the network into a number of location areas such that the total paging cost and handoff (or update) cost is a minimum. Finding the optimal number of location areas and the corresponding configuration of the partitioned network is a difficult combinatorial optimization problem. This cell grouping problem is to find a compromise between the location update and paging operations such that the cost of mobile terminal location tracking is a minimum in location area wireless network. In fact, this is shown to be an NP-complete problem in an earlier study. In this paper, artificial bee colony (ABC) is developed and proposed to obtain the best/optimal group of cells for location area planning for location management system. The performance of the artificial bee colony (ABC) is better than or similar to those of other population-based algorithms with the advantage of employing fewer control parameters. The important control parameter of ABC is only 'Limit' which is the number of trials after which a food source is assumed to be abandoned. Simulation results for 16, 36, and 64 cell grouping problems in wireless network show that the performance of our ABC is better than those alternatives such as ant colony optimization (ACO) and particle swarm optimization (PSO).

  • 본 논문에서는 병렬 프로그램을 구성하는 $2^n$개의 타스크 모듈들을 n-차원 하이퍼큐브 다중 컴퓨터에 전체 통신 비용이 최소가 되도록 일대일 매핑하는 문제를 다룬다. 하이퍼큐브에서 최적 매핑을 구한 것은 NP-complete문제이다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 하이퍼큐브 다중 컴퓨터에서의 매핑 문제를 그래프 상에서의 최대 컷세트 집합을 구하는 문제로 변환시키는 그래프 변형 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 그래프 변형 기법을 사용하여 기존의 그래프 이분할 방법을 변형된 그래프 상에 반복 적용함으로써 하이퍼큐브에 타스크 모듈들을 효율적으로 일대일 매핑하는 반복 매핑 알고리즘을 제안한다. 여러가지 타스크그래프 상에서의 실험을 통해, 제안된 반복 매핑 알고리즘이 기존의 greedy나 recursive 매핑 알고리즘들 보다 성능이 우수함을 보인다. 특히 제안된 알고리즘은 하이퍼큐브-isomorphic, 메쉬등과 같은 정형 그래프 상에서 성능이 우수하며 거의 모든 정형 그래프에서 최적 매핑을 찾음을 보인다.

파티클군집최적화 방법을 적용한 위치관리시스템 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Location Management Using Particle Swarm Optimization)

  • Location area planning (LAP) problem is to partition the cellular/mobile network into location areas with the objective of minimizing the total cost in location management. The minimum cost has two components namely location update cost and searching cost. Location update cost is incurred when the user changes itself from one location area to another in the network. The searching cost incurred when a call arrives, the search is done only in the location area to find the user. Hence, it is important to find a compromise between the location update and paging operations such that the cost of mobile terminal location tracking cost is a minimum. The complete mobile network is divided into location areas. Each location area consists of a group of cells. This partitioning problem is a difficult combinatorial optimization problem. In this paper, we use particle swarm optimization (PSO) to obtain the best/optimal group of cells for 16, 36, 49, and 64 cells network. Experimental studies illustrate that PSO is more efficient and surpasses those of precious studies for these benchmarking problems.

  • 물리 계층 네트워크 코딩은 양방향 중계 채널에서의 Zhang 그룹의 논문으로 처음 소개 되었다. 물리 계층 네트워크 코딩을 이용하여, 세 개의 시간대 대신에 두 개의 시간대내로 양방향 통신을 완벽히 할 수 있다. 최근 감쇄 채널에서 물리 계층 네트워크 코딩의 상계와 하계가 모두 분석되었다. 이 논문에서는 감쇄 채널에서 양방향 중계 채널의 물리 계층 네트워크 코딩의 정확한 bit 오류 비율을 도출 하였다. bit 오류 비율을 계산하기 위해, 판단 영역을 최소 인접 법칙과 Craig's 극좌표 방식을 적용한 몇 개의 쐐기 부분의 분할을 통해 결정 하였다.
