  • Tobacco sales enterprises often need to summarize and verify the daily sales bills, which may consume substantial manpower, and manual verification is prone to occasional errors. The use of artificial intelligence technology to realize the automatic identification and verification of such bills offers important practical significance. This study presents a novel multi-branch residual network for tobacco sales bills to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tobacco sales. First, geometric correction and edge alignment were performed on the input sales bill image. Second, the multi-branch residual network recognition model is established and trained using the preprocessed data. The comparative experimental results demonstrated that the correct recognition rate of the proposed method reached 98.84% on the China Tobacco Bill Image dataset, which is superior to that of most existing recognition methods.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide an explanation for the association between the characteristics of a network and the type of innovation by considering the effect of absorptive capacity. To do so, this study examined the moderating effects of absorptive capacity on the characteristics of network-innovation relationship in a technical-driven venture company. In order to obtain a better understanding about consequences caused by interfirm network, information was obtained from 169 Korean IT venture companies. Results confirmed that the network diversity is positively associated with exploration. Our results also suggested that the network strength is positively associated with exploitation. Finally, we found a positive two-way interaction between absorptive capacity and the network diversity-exploration relationship. Then, we discussed implications and directions for future research.

  • In a duopoly situation, one firm can gain competitive advantage by attracting the price-sensitive customers from its competitor leading to higher profits through higher sale revenue for the competing company. A simulation study in which there are two electric car manufacturers with agent based modelling was conducted in order to verify this contention. The first step consisted of defining the baseline. Simulations of 1000 times and agent-based modelling were conducted with the assumption that company 1 reduced its price to the maximum of 20% thereby contributing to the switch-over of a maximum of 40% of the price sensitive customers of company 2. The results of 1000 simulations and agent-based modelling highlighted that price reduction by company 1 resulted in a significant increase in the number of customers, presumably due to switch-over from company 2 and there was a corresponding increase in revenues from both of the sales avenues. Thus, Company 1 achieved competitive advantage by marketing its cars to the customers of Company 2 using price reduction strategy to attract them. This study has ramifications for companies that aim to sway the price sensitive customers from a competitor.

  • A company is a social group of many individuals that work together to obtain better results, and it is an organization that pursues common goals such as profit. As a result, forming networks among members, as well as individual communication abilities, is critical. The purpose of this research was to determine what factors influence the creation of employee advice relationships. Using the ERGM(Exponential Random Graph Model) approach, we looked at the network data of 44 individuals from consulting firms with offices in the United States and Europe. The significance of structural network factors like connectivity was first discovered. Second, the gender factor had the most significant main influence on the likelihood of adopting each other's advice. Third, geographical homogeneity resulted in higher link probabilities than major impacts of gender. This research looked at ways to make a company's network more efficient and active.

  • In this paper, we propose a linear programming model of supply planning process for the supply chain collaboration strategy of a company. The amount of its supplying quantity relies on outsourcing suppliers heavily. Conversely, the revenues of those suppliers are highly dependent on the supplying quota from the supply network planning of the company. In order to keep the supply stable through collaboration, the company builds such a policy to guarantee the fairness on revenue between the supplies. For this, the supply network plan should keep the capacity utilization ratio even for all the suppliers. But the production capacities are different and the distribution of molds is disproportional through suppliers, so the supply network plan is not easily established with simple arithmetic processes. Therefore, we developed the linear programming model with those target function and constraints minimizing the costs for holding inventory and penalty of delayed delivery, simultaneously guaranteeing the even capacity utilization through suppliers. The proposed model has been applied to real case and the evaluation for the planning result from the model would be followed in order to make sure that our model guarantee on extracting the supply network plan subordinated to the policy. Also we mention about further studies for improvement of the model.

  • Marketing stress testing is a new method of identifying the company's strengths and weaknesses in a turbulent environment. Technically, this is a complex procedure, so it involves artificial intelligence and machine learning. The main problem is currently the development of methodological approaches to the development of the company's digital model, which will provide a framework for machine learning. The aim of the study was to identify and develop an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. This aim provided the company's activities to be considered as a set of elements (business processes, products) and factors that affect them (marketing environment). The article proposes an author's approach to the parameterization of the company's business processes for machine learning-based marketing stress testing. The proposed approach includes four main elements that are subject to parameterization: elements of the company's internal environment, factors of the marketing environment, the company' core competency and factors impacting the company. Matrices for evaluating the results of the work of expert groups to determine the degree of influence of the marketing environment factors were developed. It is proposed to distinguish between mega-level, macro-level, meso-level and micro-level factors depending on the degree of impact on the company. The methodological limitation of the study is that it involves the modelling method as the only one possible at this stage of the study. The implementation limitation is that the proposed approach can only be used if the company plans to use machine learning for marketing stress testing.

  • In this paper, we study the various impacts of connecting distributed generation (DG) to the distribution network. The comprehensive evaluation index system (CEIS) of four hierarchies is established, considering economy, reliability and voltage quality, and the calculation methods of different indexes are presented. This paper puts forward an improved triangular fuzzy number analytic hierarchy process (ITFNAHP) to weight the second level indexes (SLI) and the third level indexes (TLI), and calculates the variation coefficient to weight the fourth level indexes (FLI). We calculate the comprehensive weight coefficients based on the weight coefficients of the SLI, TLI and FLI, and then calculate the comprehensive evaluation of satisfaction (CES) of different access schemes. On the basis of the IEEE 33-bus example system, simulations of the calculation methods and the comprehensive evaluation method are carried out under different DG access schemes according to the same total investment cost and the same permeability, respectively, and the simulation results are analyzed and discussed.
