Methods: Data of the third Korean Working Condition Survey in 2011 were used. Subjects were 2,050 large-sized company employees and 18,924 small-sized company workers. $x^2$ test and multiple logistic regression using SAS 9.2 were conducted. From the bivariate analysis, gender, income, self-rated health, occupation, working hours per week, job-related stress, workplace violence, and job insecurity were significantly related to job-related depression/anxiety in large-sized company employees. From the multivariate analysis, higher income (AOR: 0.22, 95%CI: 0.07~0.71), better health perception (AOR: 0.05, 95%CL: 0.01~0.18), 40 or more working hours per week (AOR: 0.20, 95%CI: 0.05~0.79) showed lower risk for job-related depression/anxiety. From the bivariate and multivariate analysis, better health perception (AOR: 0.32, 95%CI: 0.20~0.53), higher job-related stress (AOR: 2.57, 95%CI: 1.68~3.93, workplace violence experience (AOR: 4.26; 95%CI: 2.88~6.30), and job insecurity experience (AOR: 1.90, 95%CI: 1.18~3.05) were significantly related to job-related depression/anxiety in small-sized company employees. • This study focuses on forces and correlation among such independent factors as the style of leadership, motivation and relationship in order to find out what kind of ingredients have an effect on the employees' organizational commitment in a venture company. It is likely that the organizational commitment of the employees in the organization in a venture company may be different from that of existing enterprises since they differ 100 percent in their nature. In an attempt to prove it, actual corroboration has been made. As a result, it turned out that transformational leadership had a great impact on the organizational commitment while transactional leadership did not; in the motivation factor, the more vision the employees envisage, the more organizational commitment they show followed by management goals and self-admiration; in the relational factor, more openness in the communication led the employees to devote themselves to their companies, which was valid in the range of 90% in the confidence index. This study reveals that there is not much difference between venture and general companies in the factors that affect employees' organizational commitment in the organization. Therefore, the Chief Executive Officer in the venture company should make a favorable environment with transformational leadership and obvious vision through free and open communication with colleagues so that his or her employees can devote themselves to the organization to which they belong, since venture companies are usually staffed by young workers with high education.

  • This study investigated how consumers and company employees differ in their perceptions of boycotts based on the co-orientation model. Regarding the reasons of boycotts, consumers take both consumer damage cases and unethical conduct equally seriously, while company employees take consumer damage cases more seriously than unethical conduct. Consumer perceptions of the necessity for boycotts was higher than company employees, while employees were more aware of the negative impact of boycotts than consumers. Based on the co-orientation model, we examined how consumers and employees estimate differences in their perceptions of boycotts. The results showed that consumers and company employees are not accurately aware of each other's perceptions. Lastly, logistic regressions were conducted to identify the factors affecting three types of participation: online opinion expression, personal non-purchasing, and persuading other people to join the boycotts. The results showed that male consumers are more likely to participate in online opinion expression; consumer perceptions of effectiveness of boycotts and the perceived severity of consumer damage increase the likelihood of participation in online opinion expression. Consumer perceptions of the necessity of boycotts and their opinion leadership increased the likelihood of non-purchasing. Finally, consumers with higher opinion leadership and female consumers were more likely to encourage others to take part in boycotts. In addition, consumers are more likely to persuade others to join the boycotts if they have stronger beliefs that companies will not seriously consider consumer problems.

  • The purpose of this study is to measure corporate personality by analyzing the internal employees' corporate reviews and to identify the impact of the representative corporate personality on the relationship between job satisfaction of internal employees and the turnover rate of the company. To this end, we first created a dictionary of words representing the corporate personality with a Word2vec method based on words explaining five corporate personalities, such as reliability, initiative, practicality, activism, and femininity, obtained from the preceding study. Next, we analyzed reviews which were written by internal employees on their companies to measure the score of corporate personality at a review level, aggregated the review level scores for each company to calculate the company level score of corporate personality, and assigned to each company the corporate personality with the maximum score among the five such scores. Also, job satisfaction and turnover rate were measured from internal employees' corporate evaluation scores and the percentage of former employees of each company who left a review on the company, respectively. This study collected datasets of corporate reviews, employee information, and corporate information from Job-Planet from 2014 to 2017, conducted a technical statistic check and correlation analysis to confirm the suitability of the datasets, and performed linear regression analysis to evaluate the research model and verify hypotheses. As a result of the analysis, the job satisfaction of the internal staff has a significant negative impact on the corporate's turnover rate. In addition, companies having a personality of reliability, initiative and femininity also showed a significant cause-and-effect relationship between job satisfaction and turnover rate and among them, job satisfaction of companies having a personality, initiative, showed a greater impact on turnover rate. In sum, we not only proposed a novel method of measuring corporate personality, but also showed that corporates need to identify its corporate personality and to utilize a different strategy to reduce their employee's turnover rate depending on the corporate personality.
