Interpattern association (IPA) model which the interconnection weight matrix(IWM) is constructed by the association between patterns is effective in similar pattern recognitions. But, if the number of reference patterns is increased, the ability of recognition is decreased. Using a hierarchical recognition algorithm which adopts the tree search strategy, we classified reference patterns into sub-groups by similarity. In IPA model, if input includes random noise we make it converge to reference pattern by means of input includes random noise we make it converge to reference pattern by means of increasing the number of pixels of prohibited state in IWM. In relation to reference patterns the pixel of prohibited state made partially prohibited state of no connected state using which is not included common and feature regions by each reference patterns.
Railway sign(graphic sign, diagraphics) designs require good recognition with universality to transmit accurate and speedy information as they connect people around the station and other transport systems. An important point of signs is how to design and deliver the contents to the viewers as a communication service tools. It needs to establish design guidelines with standardization and unified system to show their contents and images clearly like common language with visuality, attractivity and generality. These requisites are important for both aesthetics legibility and unified standards to maximize the effectiveness of pictograms for the use of the general public, who require systematic suggestion and management.

This paper proposes speaker recognition algorithm which includes both the pitch detection and the fuzzified pattern matching. This study utilizes pitch pattern using a pitch and speech parameter uses binary spectrum. In this paper. makes reference pattern using fuzzy membership function in order to include time variation width for non-utterance time and performs vocal track recognition of common character using fuzzified pattern matching.
Cardiac disease is the most common cause of death worldwide. Therefore, detection and classification of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are crucial to extend life expectancy. In this study, we aimed to implement an artificial intelligence signal recognition system in field programmable gate array (FPGA), which can recognize patterns of bio-signals such as ECG in edge devices that require batteries. Despite the increment in classification accuracy, deep learning models require exorbitant computational resources and power, which makes the mapping of deep neural networks slow and implementation on wearable devices challenging. To overcome these limitations, spiking neural networks (SNNs) have been applied. SNNs are biologically inspired, event-driven neural networks that compute and transfer information using discrete spikes, which require fewer operations and less complex hardware resources. Thus, they are more energy-efficient compared to other artificial neural networks algorithms.
This study surveyed the status of recognition, effort, and satisfaction of customers on a low-sodium diet in industry foodservice. For recognition related to sodium intake, 34.6% answered 'sure' for awareness of WHO's recommended daily sodium intake. Recognition of healthiness of low-sodium diet scored an average of $3.77{\pm}0.8$. The most frequent dietary effort related to low-sodium diet was 'I leave the broth of soup/stew (23.7%)', and the most common reason for not making an effort related to low-sodium diet was 'I often eat out (25.2%)'. Recognition of saltiness of foodservice meals was $2.84{\pm}0.69$, and the saltiest food was 'kimchi (30.4%)', followed by 'side dish (17.9%)', 'soup/stew (16.8%)', and 'sauce (8.3%)'. Satisfaction of low-sodium foodservice meal was $3.04{\pm}0.71$. Reasons for recognition of saltiness of foodservice meal were mostly 'appropriate' or 'prefer less salty (86%)'. In the analysis of satisfaction of low-sodium foodservice meal according to occupation, satisfaction of 'level of saltiness ($F=5.046^{**}$)' scored an average of $3.18{\pm}0.72$, with the highest satisfaction from 'professionals'. Satisfaction of 'dietary behaviors related to sodium ($F=3.534^{**}$)' scored an average of $3.95{\pm}0.59$, with the highest satisfaction from 'government employees (p<0.01)'. These study results show that despite recognition of the healthiness of a low-sodium diet, efforts toward practicing the diet were less than adequate. Further, 25% felt that foodservice meal was a blend, whereas satisfaction of low-sodium diet was only 19%. Therefore, continuous education and advertisements are necessary in order to raise awareness as well as developing more concrete methods during preparation of meals, such as using a salt meter.
As augmented reality technology becomes more common and prevelant, marker-based AR contents are applied in various ways. However AR contents are still hardly utilized due to the low recognition rate of marker images. In order to increase the recognition rate of AR marker images, this paper experiment and analyzed how much the recognition rate of markers could be improved when image correction and design changes was applied. The experimental result shows that the image correction task could significantly improve the number of image characteristics and the recognition grade if the image was modified in a way its saturation value is increased. Moreover, the recognition rate was improved even more when regular pattern design was added to the original marker image. In conclusion, it was possible to make the marker well recognized through proper correction of the image and additional process of pattern design in the process of producing the marker image.

Zinc fingers of Cys$_2$His$_2$ class constitute one of the most common DNA binding motifs in eukaryotes. Unlike other DNA binding motifs, zinc finger proteins recognize very diverse DNA sites, and their sequence specificities can be systematically changed by phage display.(omitted)

It is necessary to construct an effective regional information system in facing the incoming information intensive society. Many local government in Korea began to recognize a need for constructing a GIS(Geographic Information System) and they are planning to construct GIS´s to improve their administrative efficiency. However, ti requires high-priced hardware, software, and an experienced operator to sue a GIS effectively. The purpose of this study is to develop the GIS program which can be sued with ease by common users. By developing a GIS functioned program using a coordinate recognition module by application of geo-spatial data, and a digital map which is already made, this program can be used efficiently only by only inputting attributes without high-priced hardware and software, and can be utilized easily to every purposes of work with geo-spatial data and attributes. MapObjects, mapping and GIS component, was employed to use geo-spatial data, and Access 97 from Microsoft to manage and attributes database. Visual Basic, objected-oriented language, was used to develop an application program. Results of this study were applied to constructing the Information system of Kanwon National University. This program could be used for various purposed by common users without additional hardware and software.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the eating habits and nutritional knowledge of elementary school students in regards to seafood in school meals. More than 80.6% of elementary school students reported an 'average' preference for seafood. While 'taste' and 'healthy food' were common reasons to prefer marine products, 'unpleasant taste and smell' was a common reason not to prefer seafood. Students in general stated 'eating if possible' as their attitude towards seafood in school meals, 38.1% responded 'eating all' as their intake level. There was a significant difference between preference for seafood by gender [boys, 3.44; girls, 3.64 (P<0.01)]. Also, students significantly difference preferred some types of seafood over others. The students who enjoyed eating seafood had more regular and balanced diets and a better attitude toward dietary life and health than did the counterparts who did not prefer seafood. A significant difference (P<0.05) in knowledge existed according to gender; girls had a higher level of knowledge than did boys.
Objective : No studies had been carried out to date on how Korean medicine practitioners recognize and treat postpartum diseases. Therefore, research on such issues by means of a questionnaire survey was expected to contribute to providing common ground and foundation far postpartum treatment. Methods : This study is based on a questionnaire survey administered to 200 doctors, consisting of 79 members of the Korean Society of Oriental Obstetrics & Gynecology and 121 Korean medicine practitioners, from May to September 2006. Items related to individual characteristics of Korean medicine practitioners and 20 objective items constituted the questionnaire, with every item of the questionnaire belonging to 6 greater categories that the author had categorized for the purpose of the study. Results : The result of the study showed what perspectives and clinical attitudes the majority of participating Korean medicine practitioners had in relation with postpartum diseases. On the basis of these findings, better common ground and systematic treatments can be developed to treat postpartum diseases.
