A Study on UX Design for Mobile Application of Combined Services - Focused on TVing (모바일 애플리케이션 내 복합 서비스의 사용자 경험 디자인에 관한 연구 - 티빙 사례를 중심으로)

  • After the spread of COVID-19, the OTT market has grown rapidly. Accordingly, competition of OTT platforms has intensified. Among them, TVing provides users distinct characteristics of service, such as media and commerce, to differentiate it from other platforms. It is important to offer appropriate usability when proving combined service in one mobile application. Otherwise, it can adversely affect the user experience. In this regard, this research conducted usability testing of TVing and found out what user experience should be considered when integrating different characteristics of service in one mobile application. Through the usability testing, we measured and analyzed effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction based on the ISO usability testing guidelines. As a result, three important considerations of UX design for mobile application of combined services were found; 1) connectivity between services, 2) easy navigation, 3) consistent UI design, and 4) relations between subjects and provided information. This design consideration is expected to be applicable not only to TVing mobile application, but also to the situation where composed services are provided in one application.

  • Mobile health industry has been combined with IT technology and is attracting attention. The health application has been developed to provide users a healthy life style. First of all, 5 mobile health applications were selected and reviewed in terms of their service trend. It turned out that none of those applications had any emotional data but physical one. Secondly, to extract users' emotion, technological researches were sorted into different categories. And the result implied that text-based emotion recognition technology is the most suitable for the mobile health service. To implement the service, the application was designed and developed the process of emotion recognition system based on the contents of the research. One-dimension emotion model, which is the standard of classifying emotional data and social network service, was set up as a source. In last, to suggest the usage of health application has been combined with persuasive technology. As a result, this paper prospered a overall service process, concrete service scheme and a guidelines containing 15 services in accordance with the five emotions and time. It is expected to become a direction for indicators considering a psychological individual context.

A Study on the Mechanical and Physical Properties of Sawdustboard combined with Plastic Chip (플라스틱칩 결체(結締) 톱밥보드의 기계적(機械的) 및 물리적(物理的) 성질(性質)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • In order to study the effect of sawdustboard combined with plastic chips, 0.5mm($T_1$), 1mm($T_2$), 1.4mm($T_3$) thick nylon fiber. polypropylene rope fiber(RP), and 0.23mm thick moth-proof polypropylene net fiber(NP) were cut into 0.5, 1, 2cm long plastic chips. Thereafter, sawdustboard combined with plastic chips prepared as the above and plastic non-combined sawdustboard(control) were manufactured into 3 types of one-, two-, and three layer with 5 or 10% combination level. By the discussions and results at this study, the significant conclusions of mechanical and physical properties were summarized as follows: 1. The MORs were shown in the order of 3 layer> 2 layer> 1 layer among plastic non-combined boards, and $T_3$ < $T_2$ < $T_1$ < RP (NP(5%) < NP(l0%) among plastic combined boards. In 2cm long plastic chip in 1 layer board, the highest strength through all the composition was recognized. 1 layer board showing the lower strength with 0.5cm plastic chip rendered to the bending strength improvement by 2 or 3 layer board composition. On the other hand, 2 or 3 layer combined with 1, 2cm long polypropylene net fiber chips incurred MOR's conspicuous decrease requiring optimum plastic chip combined level and consideration to combined type. 2. MOE in plastic non-combined 3 layer board exhibited sandwich construction effect by higher resin content application to surface layer in the order of 3layer>1layer>2layer with the highest stiffness of the board combined with polypropylene chip, while nylon chip-combined board had little difference from plastic non-combined board. In relevant to length and layer effect, 3 layer board combined with the 0.5cm long polypropylene net fiber chip in 5% and 10% combined level presented 34-43% and 44-76% stiffness increase against plastic non-combined board(control), respectively. Moreover, in 1 layer board, 30% stiffness increase with 10% against 5% combined level in the 1 and 2cm long polypropylene net fiber chip was obtained. 3. Stress at proportional limit(Spl) showing the fiber relationship (r: 0.81-0.97) between MOR presented in the order of 1 layer<2 layer<3 layer in plastic non-combined board. Correspondingly, combined effect by layer and plastic chip length was similar to MOR's. 4. Differently from previous properties(MOR, MOE, Spl). work to maximum load(Wml) of 2 layer board approached to that of 3 layer board. Conforming the above phenomenon. 2 layer combined with 0.5cm long polypropylene net fiber chip kept the greater work than 1 layer. The polypropylene combined board superior to nylon -and plastic non - combined board seemed to have greater anti - failing capacity. 5.   • Dynamic Time Warping(in short DTW) is a kind of sequence comparison method. It is widely used in human speech recognition. The timing difference between two speech patterns to be compared is removed by warping the time axes of the speech pattern by minimising the time-normalised distance between them. In the process of finding the minimum time-normalised distance. the efficient method is dynamic programming problem. This paper describes the concept of dynamic time warping method, mathematical formulation and an application.

  • This study is to investigate the application of concrete with crushed sand on site. As a result, it is showed that the combined sand mixed with sea sand is very desirable for obtaining workability and strength of concrete, and the optimal replacement percentage of crushed sand is 50% with sea sand. After all, the crushed sand could be sufficiently used as a fine aggregate for concrete in the aspect of economical efficiency and quality, but the particle shape and microsand passing No.200 sieve should be firstly improved for increasing workability of concrete on site.

PMDSPH: A Hybrid N-Body and SPH Code and Its Application to the Milky Way

  • PMDSPH is a combined 3D particle-mesh and SPH code aimed to simulate the self-consistent dynamical evolution of spiral galaxies including live stellar and collisionless dark matter components, as well as an isothermal gas component. This paper describes some aspects of this code and shows how its application to the Milky Way helps to recover the gas flow within the Galactic bar region from the observed HI and CO longitude-velocity distributions.

  • We developed a panel of innovative solution-based approaches for synthesis of multicomponent sulfide phosphor materials. The application of these synthesis strategies allowed for preparation of high-purity and high-brightness $BaAl_2S_4:Eu$ and $Ba_2SiS_4:Eu$ phosphors and led to the discovery of new phosphors suitable for application in the LED-based lighting including $Sr_2ZnS_3:Eu$, $CaBaSiS_4:Eu$ and $(Ba,Sr)_2ZnS_3:Eu$.

  • This paper deals with an industrial application of a fuzzy feedback combined learning control to an industrial batch free radical polymerization reactor. As a result, the plant has reduced the batch reaction time by 50 minute and stabilized both by 40 percent reduction of the standard deviations of product qualities, such as the total solid content and the graft gum, and by 45 percent reduction of the standard deviation of the batch reaction end time.

Application of PCSWMM for the Analysis of Water Quantity and Quality Considering CSOs (CSOs를 고려한 도시유역의 수량 및 수질 분석을 위한 PCSWMM 모형의 적용)

  • Combined sewer system (CSS) has been built in the most urban areas across the nation. During dry weather conditions, CSS works fine. But during heavy rain storms, combined sewage frequently overflows into the stream. This study simulated the hydrologic cycle and pollutant loads (BOD, SS, TN and TP) in the Mokgamcheon watershed considering combined sewer overflows (CSOs). PC storm water management model (PCSWMM) was used for continuous simulation and CSOs are considered using the flow divider. Sensitivity analysis, calibration and verification for water quantity and quality are carried out. To verify CSOs, field measurements of CSOs are compared with simulated results. As a result, 41.3% of precipitation flows into the stream directly and 1.1% of water supply flows into stream as CSOs. 6.5% of BOD total loads, 12.0% of SS, 13.6% of TP, and 29.2% of TN are from CSOs. This result will be effective to the integrated watershed management for sustainability.
