The most commonly adopted approach to find valuable information from tree data is to extract frequently occurring subtree patterns from them. Because mining frequent tree patterns has a wide range of applications such as xml mining, web usage mining, bioinformatics, and network multicast routing, many algorithms have been recently proposed to find the patterns. However, existing tree mining algorithms suffer from several serious pitfalls in finding frequent tree patterns from massive tree datasets. Some of the major problems are due to (1) modeling data as hierarchical tree structure, (2) the computationally high cost of the candidate maintenance, (3) the repetitious input dataset scans, and (4) the high memory dependency. These problems stem from that most of these algorithms are based on the well-known apriori algorithm and have used anti-monotone property for candidate generation and frequency counting in their algorithms. To solve the problems, we base a pattern-growth approach rather than the apriori approach, and choose to extract maximal frequent subtree patterns instead of frequent subtree patterns. The proposed method not only gets rid of the process for infrequent subtrees pruning, but also totally eliminates the problem of generating candidate subtrees. Hence, it significantly improves the whole mining process.

The road network becomes more complex and extensive. Therefore, the inconveniences are caused in accordance with the time delay of the restoration of damaged roads, demands for excessive costs on information collection, and limitations on acquisition of damage information of the roads. Recently, road centric spatial information is gathered using mobile multi sensor system for road inventory. But expensive MMS(Mobile Mapping System) equipments require high maintenance costs from beginning and takes a lot of time in the data processing. So research is needed for continuous maintenance by collecting and displaying the damaged information on a digital map using low cost mobile camera system. In this research we aim to develop the techniques for mosaic with a regular ground sample distance using successive image from oblique camera on a vehicle. For doing this, mosaic image is generated by estimating the homography of high resolution oblique image, and the ground sample distance and appropriate overlap are analyzed using high resolution aerial oblique images which contain resolution target. Based on this we have proposed the appropriate overlap and exposure interval for mobile road inventory system.
Various LIDs with natural water circulation function are applied to reduce urban environmental problems and environmental impact of development projects. However, excessive Infiltration and evaporation of LID facilities dry the LID internal soil, thus reducing plant and microbial activity and reducing environmental re duction ability. The purpose of this study was to develop a real-time measurement system with complex sensors to derive the management plan of LID facilities. The test of measurable sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) application was conducted in artificial wetlands shaped in acrylic boxes. The applied sensors were intended to be built at a low cost considering the distributed LID and were based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi, which are relatively inexpensive and commercialized. In addition, the goal was to develop complex sensor measurements to analyze the current state o f LID facilities and the effects of maintenance and abnormal weather conditions. Sensors are required to measure wind direction, wind speed, rainfall, carbon dioxide, Micro-dust, temperature and humidity, acidity, and location information in real time. Data collection devices, storage server programs, and operation programs for PC and mobile devices were developed to collect, transmit and check the results of measured data from applied sensors. The measurements obtained through each sensor are passed through the Wifi module to the management server and stored on the database server in real time. Analysis of the four-month measurement result values conducted in this study confirmed the stability and applicability of ICT technology application to LID facilities. Real-time measured values are found to be able to utilize big data to evaluate the functions of LID facilities and derive maintenance measures.

Fog causes economic losses in transportation. It also results in health problems when it is combined with air pollutants. Considerable research efforts have focused on developing fog removal systems. However, most systems operate themselves after monitoring the fog. Additionally, continuous energy supply and maintenance are required to retain the fog-removal efficiency of the system. This study included the demonstration of a moss filter (a polyolefin mesh interlaced with moss) as a fog-removal method overcoming the limitations of the fog removal system. Three types of mosses with different surface structures were investigated to elucidate the relation between the moisture absorption rate and the structures. Among the different moss types, Hypopterygium japinicum showed the highest efficiency based on the smallest pore diameter and the largest total pore area. The visibilities with the moss filter and the polyolefin mesh were compared to perform the fog removal tests. The moss filter could provide a cost-effective and eco-friendly fog removal system with sustainability.
In a modern society, various type of transportation modes are utilized, among them the subway system is the one of the main transportation mode which more than 7.21 million people ride a day in Seoul. Due to the increased interests on the indoor air quality (IAQ) of underground facilities, public concerns on IAQ of subway system are increasing also. Platform screen door (PSD) recently installed at the whole stations of Seoul subway and tunnel washing-out appeared to be effective in reducing particulate matters in the platform and tunnel. However there has not been any attempt to improve IAQ of subway cabin inside. Most technologies for removing airborne particulate matters are known to be difficult to adopt on the subway cabin due to the problem of maintenance cost. Therefore, the object of this study is a practical development of cabin air cleaning system which can reduce the concentration of airborne particles and harmful gases at the same time. In this paper, we focused on the development of particle removing system utilizing a roll-filter for increasing operating time of air filter. The prototype of system was designed and manufactured based on the numerical prediction results. For rollfilter device, 5 candidate filter materials were tested in point of particle collection efficiency and pressure drop. It was found that the electrically charged filter material showed the highest performance among them.
The purpose of this study is to identify a potential user's need for use and operational of the elderly day care center and to identify the problems and suggest development directions. The data collection was conducted on 320 ordinary people living in J-do through a questionnaire, and sought to understand the operational status of in-depth interview institutions for the heads and employees of six center. As a result of the analysis, a potential user's ware not aware of the functions and specific roles of day care center, the cost of facilities was covered by the government, and that facilities and the environment were important factors when using the center. In-depth interviews show that the current policy or system is far from reality and does not fit the status or role of the workers and the operational status of the agency, requiring the re-establishment of the on-site system. Based on the research results, the development direction of day care facilities requires active promotion and strengthening of family support for improving and enhancing awareness of day care facilities to citizens at the national level. Second, the quality of nursing services should be enhanced through improvements in facilities and the environment that reflect users' needs. Third, The government should improve the quality of nursing services by improving the poor employment conditions and treatment of workers to fit the reality.
Busan Port which is the representative social overhead capital facilities for international trade of goods has need the driving force for economic development in Korea. Therefore, the central government should play the major role in building a rear road to Busan Port in order that it may function as a moor port of Northeastern Asia through the systemization of mutual assistance among connected facilities, completely equipped with port-related facilities befitting to the principal port of imports and exports. In this study, the validity of container tax is being examined, analyzing container tax which is considered as an obstacle to the development of Busan Port and its purpose, and grasping the present conditions by the realistic speculation on container tax issues and its abolition. First, the port rear road as a social overhead capital facilities, which connects port and expressway, should be considered as part of port, and port is social overhead capital invested by government. Second, the Busan City imposes taxes on container. As a result, a shipper and a shipping company are paying a double charge by paying container tax with port dues. Third, Empty container and Tranship container are the factor of Busan city traffic jam but their was excluded from container tax. This is deviate from equilibrium of the tax object. Forth, it has bad influence upon the competitiveness of Busan Port as Northeastern logistics base, as other ports who are competing with Busan Port like china, Taiwan, Japan's port make their competitiveness strong by decreasing the cost of port dues.
This study was performed to acquire the information on the foodborne pathogen risk management programs in a couple of developed countries by the expert meeting and searching the information on the web. The backgrounds, strategies and effects related to microbial hazards of the foodborne pathogen reduction programs in fresh produce (US), Escherichia coli O157:H7 in ground beef (US), Salmonella in chicken, pork and eggs (Denmark), and Vibrio parahaemolyticus in seafood (Japan) were investigated for case study. A comparison among the pathogen reduction programs was conducted to find advantages and disadvantages and implications of the policies to bring out implications of the programs. A model for foodborne pathogen reduction program was developed based on both the CODEX risk management scheme and the case studies as follows; 1) preliminary risk management activities, 2) planing a foodborne pathogen reduction program, 3) option identification and selection, 4) implementation (conducting the each stake-holders role and applying the intervention methods), 5) monitoring activities, 6) interim review, 7) continuation or amendment of implementation method by the interim review before achieving the goal, and 8) final review and additional cost-benefit analysis if necessary. This proposed model according to the role of the stake-holders can be used to conduct microbial risk management programs in Korea in the near future.
On December 12, 2015, the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) adopted the Paris Agreement, in which several developed and developing countries all committed to participating in the reduction of greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions. South Korea has submitted an intended nationally determined contribution (INDC) proposal with a target to cut down 37% greenhouse gas business as usual (BAU) until 2030 in preparation for the 2030 GHG BAU. Under the post-2020 regime, which will be launched from 2021 as the agreement entered into force early, it is expected that efforts to support GHG reduction and adaptation to climate change in developing countries will be accelerated with the utilization of technologies and financial resources of developed countries. South Korea has established the Basic Plan for Climate Change Response and the Basic National Roadmap for Greenhouse Gas Reductions by 2030 to promote the response to climate change at the government level. The Ministry of Science and ICT, as the National Designated Entity designated by the UNFCCC, has come up with middle and long-term strategies for climate technology cooperation. South-Korea has an abundance of energy-consuming industries to support its export-oriented industrial structure; it is thus expected that achieving the GHG reduction target will incur a considerable cost. Moreover, in order to meet the reduction target (11.3%) of the intended nationally determined contribution proposed by South Korea, it is necessary for South Korea to actively promote projects that can achieve GHG reduction achievements, and financial resources are needed as leverage to reduce risks that can occur in the early stages of projects and attract private sector investment. This paper summarizes the theoretical discussions on climate finance and conducted a comparative analysis on the status of the funds related to climate change response in the UK, Germany, Japan and Denmark. Through this, we proposed the legal and policy tasks that should be carried forward to raise public funds that can be used for creation of new industries related to climate change as well as to reduce GHG emissions in South Korea. The Climate Change Countermeasures Act, which has been proposed by the National Assembly of South-Korea, stipulates the establishment of funds but there is no additional funding except for general account. In this regard, it is also possible to take measures such as the introduction of carbon tax or the collection and use of royalties through technology research and development projects for climate change, such as Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act. In addition, since funds are used in various fields such as domestic greenhouse gas reduction, technology development, and overseas projects, it is necessary to establish a system in which various ministries cooperate with the operation of the fund.
The purpose of this study is to analyze firm's motivation of participating and investing in apprenticeship in Germany and Korea, and to investigate institutional factors influencing firm's motivation. By comparing institutional factors of the two countries, it aims to drawing out policy implications for improving Korean apprenticeship. The main method for data collection was comprehensive literature review on international organizations, each countries' government and research institutes' policy materials, statistical data, research outputs and media resources related to each countries' apprenticeship. Considering whether firm's motivation for participating and investing in apprenticeship is production-oriented or investment-oriented, Germany is more inclined to investment motivation with firm's covering net cost during apprenticeship period. On the other hand, Korea is more inclined toward production orientation with firm's expectation of gaining net profit during the training period. Why is firm's training motivation different in these two countries? The author tried to find the reason from the difference of institutional factors of the countries by dividing institutional factors into 4 categories: context(tripartite relations, legal framework), input (flexibility of the system, government incentive), process(training contents, training duration, quality assurance), and output(completion/retention rate, apprentice's productivity). The key implication from the comparative analysis of institutional factors is that it is necessary to enforce companies to have "accountability" on the minimum critical elements, but also to ensure them to have "autonomy" on the rest of the elements.
