The world today, has come to an age of diverse paradigms and technologies being developed, and technology of a new field is realized by merging technologies of different fields. One of such, u-Health system refers to a system which can monitor its users, regardless of time and place, using many body sensor datas based on USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network). In the past, this kind of u-Health system was able to collect sensor datas through wires and could be monitored only by using PC (Personal Computer), but with development in technology, the system is now becoming possible to collect sensor datas wireless and monitor unhindered by time and place. This research aims to collect sensor datas of the user, and through Jena inference network, provide web service and smartphone application which enables checking of user's body datas in times of emergency, whenever, wherever.

In order to provide healthcare services based on context-awareness techniques in IoT environments, a system requires to collect user profile and environmental information. To collect environmental information, accessing sensor device and gathering sensor data should be proceeded. Although this process is necessary to build environmental information, there is no proper sensor data acquisition model. In this paper, we propose sensor data acquisition model that contains schema to connect each device and to collect various kinds of data from sensor device at one point. In experiment, we demonstrate sensor data acquisition procedures with a description following suggested scheme.
Objectives The Korean Medicine (KM) PHR platform is a personalized healthcare service which allows individuals to keep and manage their own health records. When parents are reporting for their children from their memories, there is high possibility of recall errors. In these cases, it could be useful for doctors to collect the patient's symptoms through PHR platform. In this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical significance of the PHR by using the KM PHR platform in the pediatric clinic. Methods The PHR platform was used to collect child health information from parents and child care teachers. The collected data were analyzed in comparison with the results of screening by pediatrician. Results A total of 58 children were recruited, 44 of which health information were collected from their parents and their child care teachers. The remaining 14 children's health information were collected from their parents only. As a result the parents tended to perceive their children weaker than the child care teacher. Compared to other organs, there was a only significant difference in the heart weakness score and spleen weakness score in the comparison of the weak and healthy children. Conclusions Although the study was conducted on a small group of subjects, and used PHR platform developed specifically for adults to indirectly input child's symptoms, and analyzed their health information, there was a difference in health records between information providers. Development of PHR platform for children is needed to collect more reliable information.
After large-scale flooding damage occurred along the Imjin river in 1996, 1998, and 1999, the Hantan river flood control dam was planned, and it has since been under construction. Unlike existing dams in Korea, the Hantan river flood control dam will remain fully open except during high floods, when the dam will store flood water temporarily to reduce flood peaks and flood water volume downstream. During past flooding seasons, floating debris has caused difficulties in the management of large-scale dams. Most of the existing multipurpose dams in Korea have installed nets to collect floating debris based on many years of experience with and data about inflow and distribution of floating debris in the dams. For the Hantan river flood control dam, however, collection of data about inflow and distribution of floating debris is not possible as the dam is located near the border area between North and South Korea. In order to devise a preliminary plan to collect floating debris in the Hantan river flood control dam, an EFDC hydrodynamic model was used to analyze the behavior of floating debris during high floods. The Lagrangian particle tracking method was utilized to simulate the behavior of floating debris in the dam. Based on the analysis of paths and final destinations of the particles, seven collection points were selected where it seemed to be effective to collect floating debris, as debris is likely to accumulate there in high density.

Knowledge is often represented as a set of rules or a semantic network in intelligent systems. Recently, ontology has been widely used to represent semantic knowledge, because it organizes thesaurus and hierarchal information between concepts in a particular domain. However, it is not easy to collect semantic relationships among concepts. Much time and expense are incurred in ontology construction. Collective intelligence can be a good alternative approach to solve these problems. In this paper, we propose a collective intelligence approach of Games With A Purpose (GWAP) to collect various semantic resources, such as words and word-senses. We detail how to construct the semantic information model or ontology from the collected semantic resources, constructing a system named FunWords. FunWords is a Korean lexical-based semantic resource collection tool. Experiments demonstrated the resources were grouped as common nouns, abstract nouns, adjective and neologism. Finally, we analyzed their characteristics, acquiring the semantic relationships noted above. Common nouns, with structural semantic relationships, such as hypernym and hyponym, are highlighted. Abstract nouns, with descriptive and characteristic semantic relationships, such as synonym and antonym are underlined. Adjectives, with such semantic relationships, as description and status, illustration - for example, color and sound - are expressed more. Last, neologism, with the semantic relationships, such as description and characteristics, are emphasized. Weighting the semantic relationships with these characteristics can help reduce time and cost, because it need not consider unnecessary or slightly related factors. This can improve the expressive power, such as readability, concentrating on the weighted characteristics. Our proposal to collect semantic resources from the collective intelligence approach of GWAP (our FunWords) and to weight their semantic relationship can help construct the semantic information model or ontology would be a more effective and expressive alternative.

In this study, the wrapper database description language and model is suggested to collect product reviews from Korean shopping malls with multi-layer structures and are built in a variety of web languages. Above all, the wrapper based web crawlers have the website structure information to bring the exact desired data. The previously suggested wrapper based web crawler can collect HTML documents and the hierarchical structure of the target documents were only 2-3 layers. However, the Korean shopping malls in the study consist of not only HTML documents but also of various web language (JavaScript, Flash, and AJAX), and have a 5-layer hierarchical structure. A web crawler should have information about the review pages in order to visit the pages without visiting any non-review pages. The proposed wrapper contains the location information of review pages. We also propose a language grammar used in describing the location information.

With the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT), various sensors are being embedded in wearable devices. Consequently, these devices can continuously collect data including health data from individuals. The collected health data can be used not only for healthcare services but also for analyzing an individual's lifestyle by combining with other external data. This helps in making an individual's life more convenient and healthier. However, collecting health data may lead to privacy issues since the data is personal, and can reveal sensitive insights about the individual. Thus, in this paper, we present a method to collect an individual's health data from a smart band in a privacy-preserving manner. We leverage the local differential privacy to achieve our goal. Additionally, we propose a way to find feature points from health data. This allows for an effective trade-off between the degree of privacy and accuracy. We carry out experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach and the results show that, with the proposed method, the error rate can be reduced upto 77%.
In this paper, in order to prevent the fall of the drone, a study was conducted to collect vibration data from the motor connected to the propeller of the drone, and to predict the abnormal vibration of the drone using recurrent neural network (RNN) and long short term memory (LSTM). In order to collect the vibration data of the drone, a vibration sensor is attached to the motor connected to the propeller of the drone to collect vibration data on normal, bar damage, rotor damage, and shaft deflection, and abnormal vibration data are collected through LSTM and RNN. The root mean square error (RMSE) value of the vibration prediction result were compared and analyzed. As a result of the comparative simulation, it was confirmed that both the predicted result through RNN and LSTM predicted the abnormal vibration pattern very accurately. However, the vibration predicted by the LSTM was found to be 15.4% lower on average than the vibration predicted by the RNN.

Various websites have been created due to the increased use of the Internet, and the number of documents distributed through these websites has increased proportionally. However, it is not easy to collect newly updated documents rapidly. Web crawling methods have been used to continuously collect and manage new documents, whereas existing crawling systems applying a single node demonstrate limited performances. Furthermore, crawlers applying distribution methods exhibit a problem related to effective node management for crawling. This study proposes an efficient distributed crawler through stepwise crawling node allocation, which identifies websites' properties and establishes crawling policies based on the properties identified to collect a large number of documents from multiple websites. The proposed crawler can calculate the number of documents included in a website, compare data collection time and the amount of data collected based on the number of nodes allocated to a specific website by repeatedly visiting the website, and automatically allocate the optimal number of nodes to each website for crawling. An experiment is conducted where the proposed and single-node methods are applied to 12 different websites; the experimental result indicates that the proposed crawler's data collection time decreased significantly compared with that of a single node crawler. This result is obtained because the proposed crawler applied data collection policies according to websites. Besides, it is confirmed that the work rate of the proposed model increased.
