  • This paper provides an overview of the experiences of the people's housing process (PHP) in South Africa. The discussion is done against the backdrop of the different outcomes of the government public housing provision initiative, commonly known as the Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) that directly produced more than three million subsidized housing to formerly segregated and disadvantaged populations. Notwithstanding the huge success in providing the much needed accommodation to such previously marginalized communities, the over-reliance on direct provision has the PHP ostensibly less impactful in housing delivery. Against the backdrop of the soaring housing backlogs, concerns with housing quality and the financial difficulties as well as the shrinking fiscal space; the article recommends improved support of the PHP. This can be achieved by the adoption of innovations that make land and minimal infrastructure and services available to the urban poor and to support their initiatives of self-building.

서비스 자동화 시스템을 위한 물체 자세 인식 및 동작 계획 (Object Pose Estimation and Motion Planning for Service Automation System)

  • Recently, automated solutions using collaborative robots have been emerging in various industries. Their primary functions include Pick & Place, Peg in the Hole, fastening and assembly, welding, and more, which are being utilized and researched in various fields. The application of these robots varies depending on the characteristics of the grippers attached to the end of the collaborative robots. To grasp a variety of objects, a gripper with a high degree of freedom is required. In this paper, we propose a service automation system using a multi-degree-of-freedom gripper, collaborative robots, and vision sensors. Assuming various products are placed at a checkout counter, we use three cameras to recognize the objects, estimate their pose, and create grasping points for grasping. The grasping points are grasped by the multi-degree-of-freedom gripper, and experiments are conducted to recognize barcodes, a key task in service automation. To recognize objects, we used a CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) based algorithm and point cloud to estimate the object's 6D pose. Using the recognized object's 6d pose information, we create grasping points for the multi-degree-of-freedom gripper and perform re-grasping in a direction that facilitates barcode scanning. The experiment was conducted with four selected objects, progressing through identification, 6D pose estimation, and grasping, recording the success and failure of barcode recognition to prove the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • 1990년대 후반부터 신발의 패션화 경향, 고객 요구의 다양화 등에 힘입어 국내신발산업이 서서히 부흥하고 있다. 그 동안 국내에서는 신발산업이 사양산업으로 인식되어 생산시설이 해외로 이전하는 추세였지만, 최근에는 신발 소재 및 부품 생산의 핵심역량과 국제적 분업체계를 결합하여 국내 신발제조업의 경쟁력이 회복되고 있다. 이러한 국제적인 분업체계를 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서는 신발산업의 공급망관리가 시스템에 의해 운영되어야 한다. 현재 신발산업은 다양한 고객 요구사항 및 제품 납기일자의 지속적인 단축에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 환경변화에 대처하기 위해 기업내부의 최적화만으로 경쟁우위를 화보하기에는 한계점에 이르렀다. 이제는 신발산업 공급망 전체의 최적화를 통한 기업 상호간의 윈-윈(Win-Win) 전략을 구사할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 신발산업의 효율적인 공급망 관리와 단납기 요구체제 등의 환경변화에 대처하기 위해, 기업간 협업적 비즈니스에 기반한 공급망관리 시스템을 설계하였다. 기업간 정보 전달과 공유를 위해 e-비즈니스 프로세스, 문서 처리방법 및 표현방법 등을 포함하는 정보활동의 총체적 개념의 ebXML(electronic business eXtensible Markup Language) 프레임워크에 기반하였다.

북한 이탈 주민 정착지원을 위한 협력적 거버넌스 구축 (Establishment of Collaborative Governance for North Korean Refugees' Settlement Support Service)

  • 본 연구는 탈북자 정착지원 협력적 거버넌스 구축을 위한 참여주체인 중앙정부, 지방자치단체, 민간단체의 구체적 역할을 논의하기 위해 수행되었다. 중앙정부는 현재 통일부, 행정안전부, 고용노동부, 교육과학기술부, 보건복지부 등 다양한 차원에서 수행되고 있는 기능에 대한 정책조정 기능이 취약하므로 총괄 부서를 지명하고 정책기획, 예산확보 및 배정, 사후평가 및 책임성확보를 담당해야 한다. 지방자치단체는 실질적 서비스를 전달하기 위한 네트워크를 구축하고 관리하는 기능을 담당하기 위해서 의사소통 체널을 확보하고 관계망을 형성하며 다양한 주체들의 집행업무를 조정하는 역할을 담당해야 한다. 민간단체는 전문성을 바탕으로 서비스 개발하고 지역의 자원을 발굴하며 밀착서비스 제공하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.

  • Advance in Internet technology has changed traditional production planning and control methods. In particular, collaborations between participants in supply chains are being increasingly addressed in industry for enhancing chain-wide productivity. A representative paradigm that emphasizes collaboration in production planning and control is CPFR(Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment). In this paper, we present a multi-agent system architecture that supports the collaborations specified in CPFR. The multi-agent system architecture consists of event manager, data view agent, business rule agent, and collaboration agent. The collaboration agent systematically controls negotiation between supplier and buyer with the aid of collaboration protocol and blackboard. The multi-agent system has been implemented with EJB(Enterprise Java Beans).

Plan of Sapti Community Garden-Park by Design Charrette

  • Yesan-gun was selected to receive a "Village Community Garden Project" in 2018 to foster a sense of community and improve the urban landscape by working with neighbors to create a happy living space for residents. Yesan-gun selected Sapti Park, located in Yesan-eup, as the project site. The project was carried out through the design charrette method (an intense period of collaborative creativity) to allow residents to propose and design park concepts themselves for the community garden construction project to ensure that that the park facilities would provide something for everyone to enjoy. This study followed the actual design project that actively introduced the design charrette in planning the community garden, describing the entire design process from planning to construction and revealing how the opinions of residents were projected onto the design drawings. The purpose of the project was to advance user-participation design methods by reviewing the progress of the design charrette process and to examine how storytelling, the act of conveying ideas through a fun and persuasive story, transformed the plans for the community garden.

다매체 융합공연을 위한 효율적인 협업제작과정 연구 (A Study on Effective Collaborative Production Processes for Multimedia Convergence Performances)

  • 최근 공연예술에서 장르 융합형 콜라보레이션과 기술 융합형 콜라보레이션의 물리적인 융합(convergence)은 서로 다른 목표와 이질적인 속성을 전략적으로 융합시킴으로서 대중의 기대수요에 부응하며 새로운 가치의 융합 콘텐츠를 이끌어내는 실험적인 형태로 발전하고 있다. 융합시도 중 발생되는 문제점을 보완하며 공연의 완성도를 높이기 위해서는 각 매체분야 전문가들의 효율적인 협업과정이 연구되고 개선되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다매체 융합공연 프로토타입(Prototype) 제작을 통해 시대의 요구에 상응하는 융합공연의 효율적인 협업제작방안을 연구하고자 한다. 공연제작과정을 프리프로덕션(Pre-Production), 프로덕션(Production)으로 분류하여 라이브 연극과 사전제작 영상 애니메이션, 두 매체를 활용한 융합공연의 효율적인 협업제작과정을 작품선정 및 연출방향 설정, 인적구성, 제작일정 계획수립, 시각화과정, 공연연습 및 리허설 등의 과정으로 연구하고자 한다. 융합공연 콘텐츠 기획, 제작방식의 변화, 융합 콘텐츠 간 특수성의 이해를 바탕으로 지속적인 다매체 융합공연을 위한 효율적인 협업제작과정 연구가 진행되어야 융합 콘텐츠 산업 발전 체계화 및 활성화가 가능할 것이다.

  • 대학교육에서 이상적인 '집단지성기반의 협력학습' 모델은 아직 합의되지도 않았고 여전히 이론적인 수준에 머물러 있다. 집단지성기반의 협력 학습이 되기 위해선 다양한 구성원들이 자신이 가진 최대한의 역량을 동원하여 공동의 목표 달성을 위한 기여에 능동적으로 참여할 수 있도록 촉진하고 배려해야 한다. 아직 교육현장에서 실제 모형이 개발되지 않고 있는 집단지성기반의 협력학습모델은 창의적 융합인재 양성에 핵심적 프로그램이라 판단된다. 그러하기에 현대 강연의 주요 특징인 집단지성형 콘텐츠로의 진화는 수시로 확인하고 눈여겨 볼 필요가 있다. 그와 연관된 시도의 일환으로 본 연구는 tvN이 기획하고 시도한 커넥티브 강연쇼 '창조클럽 199' 콘텐츠에 주목하였다. 지향하는 기획 의도도 시대의 요구를 잘 수렴하고 있지만 더욱 돋보이는 것은 참여자들과 함께하는 집단지성 기반의 '방법' 들을 현실에 구현해내었다는 점이다.

S&T Collaboration in Developing Countries: Lessons from Brazilian Collaboration Activities with South Korea

  • An active policy role is suggested for collaboration that will enhance national level Science and Technology (S&T) capabilities. In contrast, some studies see a limited role of policy support for collaborative S&T research at the individual level (including research groups or institutional levels) due to their self-organizing nature. Two views on S&T collaboration look at different levels but existing research largely ignores the context of developing countries. This paper shows how S&T collaborations between Brazil and Korea have developed over the past two decades. The paper indicates the gaps between initiation and the actual establishment of collaborative research at national and individual levels, differences in the focus areas of research, differences in resources and project planning, and the nature of collaborations. Collaborative research activities at the national level were initiated before the individual level but activated later than the individual level; in addition, the focus areas of research were laid down earlier at the national level with individual collaborations focused on different areas. Project types remained different at each level (i.e. top-down and bottom-up) or with a slightly changing mix. This study suggests appropriate policy measures (such as the timely and effective information collection of activities at different levels and proactive coordination) that could reduce the gaps in the timing and alignment of research areas. This paper also alludes to an evolutionary model to develop S&T collaboration among developing countries.

초고층 공간계획의 디자인 요소와 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Elements and Tectonics for High-Rise Building Space Planning)

  • The high-rise building is a dramatic phenomenon and a powerful expression of architecture in the modern civilization. The architecture of these high-rise buildings has been developed with mutual contributions of architectural aesthetic form and advanced technologies. Architecturally the significant evolution of tall buildings from ancient towers is a "change of function" from some religious symbols to a commercial concept that has aesthetically become acceptable with the changing of modern society and culture driven by a technological evolution. Generally, this commercial function in the evolution of high-rise building is office where high-rise working style is simply a necessity to meet quantitative market demands since this style in major cities around world has been changed from low-rise to high-rise during the last several decades in influenced of the modern industrial society. To achieve optimum spaces with architectural aesthetics in the high-rise building, the design has become collaborative, requiring the input of architects, engineers, economists, and other consultants. Hence, architects must deeply understand the basic planning theories of high-rise buildings and try to find optimum planning between architectural aesthetics and other issues. For the approach, we can firstly start with measurement and analysis of the planning use situation for major planning issues of high-rise buildings in practice. Therefore, this study is to analysis Design Elements and to find commonly used planning strategies, tectonic, of high-rise building in practice. It will give a chance to confirm commonly used planning and then becomes the starting point of the planning development of high-rise buildings based on practical planning issues.
