야콘 뿌리 추출액 코팅 쌀 제조 및 항산화력과 관능적 품질 연구 (A Study on the Development of Cooked Rice according to the Different Coating Ratio of Yacon(Polymia sonchifolia) Root and Its Antioxidant and Sensory Properties)

  • The objective of this study was to develop functional rice coated with yacon roots extracts and to evaluate the antioxidant properties and physiological activity of rice coated with yacon extract. The washed rice was coated by spraying yacon extract at 10, 20, 30, and $40^{\circ}Brix$ and dried at room temperature. The moisture contents, color changes, antioxidant properties as total polyphenolics and DPPH radical scavenging activity and instrumental texture property and sensory evaluation change in the yacon root extracts coated rice and uncoated cooked rice were observed during 3 days of storage. Increasing the coating concentration was associated with lower color values(L value) and moisture contents. Total phenolics and DPPH radical scavenging properties generally increased in the cooked rice coated with yacon root extract more than the control (non-coated rice). However, D-20($20^{\circ}Brix$ of the yacon root concentration) resulted in better textural properties and sensory overall acceptability in cooked rice on 0 and 3 storage days. It was concluded that the optimum coating ration of rice and added functional yacon rice were $20^{\circ}Brix$ and 7% respectively, in proportion to the total weight of raw rice.

  • The increasing functional needs of top-quality printing papers and packaging paperboards, and especially the rapid developments in electronic printing processes and various computer printers during past few years, set new targets and requirements for modern paper quality. Most of these paper grades of today have relatively high filler content, are moderately or heavily calendered , and have many coating layers for the best appearance and performance. In practice, this means that many of the traditional quality assurance methods, mostly designed to measure papers made of pure. native pulp only, can not reliably (or at all) be used to analyze or rank the quality of modern papers. Hence, introduction of new measurement techniques is necessary to assure and further develop the paper quality today and in the future. Paper formation , i.e. small scale (millimeter scale) variation of basis weight, is the most important quality parameter of paper-making due to its influence on practically all the other quality properties of paper. The ideal paper would be completely uniform so that the basis weight of each small point (area) measured would be the same. In practice, of course, this is not possible because there always exists relatively large local variations in paper. However, these small scale basis weight variations are the major reason for many other quality problems, including calender blacking uneven coating result, uneven printing result, etc. The traditionally used visual inspection or optical measurement of the paper does not give us a reliable understanding of the material variations in the paper because in modern paper making process the optical behavior of paper is strongly affected by using e.g. fillers, dye or coating colors. Futhermore, the opacity (optical density) of the paper is changed at different process stages like wet pressing and calendering. The greatest advantage of using beta transmission method to measure paper formation is that it can be very reliably calibrated to measure true basis weight variation of all kinds of paper and board, independently on sample basis weight or paper grade. This gives us the possibility to measure, compare and judge papers made of different raw materials, different color, or even to measure heavily calendered, coated or printed papers. Scientific research of paper physics has shown that the orientation of the top layer (paper surface) fibers of the sheet paly the key role in paper curling and cockling , causing the typical practical problems (paper jam) with modern fax and copy machines, electronic printing , etc. On the other hand, the fiber orientation at the surface and middle layer of the sheet controls the bending stiffness of paperboard . Therefore, a reliable measurement of paper surface fiber orientation gives us a magnificent tool to investigate and predict paper curling and coclking tendency, and provides the necessary information to finetune, the manufacturing process for optimum quality. many papers, especially heavily calendered and coated grades, do resist liquid and gas penetration very much, bing beyond the measurement range of the traditional instruments or resulting invonveniently long measuring time per sample . The increased surface hardness and use of filler minerals and mechanical pulp make a reliable, nonleaking sample contact to the measurement head a challenge of its own. Paper surface coating causes, as expected, a layer which has completely different permeability characteristics compared to the other layer of the sheet. The latest developments in sensor technologies have made it possible to reliably measure gas flow in well controlled conditions, allowing us to investigate the gas penetration of open structures, such as cigarette paper, tissue or sack paper, and in the low permeability range analyze even fully greaseproof papers, silicon papers, heavily coated papers and boards or even detect defects in barrier coatings ! Even nitrogen or helium may be used as the gas, giving us completely new possibilities to rank the products or to find correlation to critical process or converting parameters. All the modern paper machines include many on-line measuring instruments which are used to give the necessary information for automatic process control systems. hence, the reliability of this information obtained from different sensors is vital for good optimizing and process stability. If any of these on-line sensors do not operate perfectly ass planned (having even small measurement error or malfunction ), the process control will set the machine to operate away from the optimum , resulting loss of profit or eventual problems in quality or runnability. To assure optimum operation of the paper machines, a novel quality assurance policy for the on-line measurements has been developed, including control procedures utilizing traceable, accredited standards for the best reliability and performance.

골판지 포장재에 알루미늄 코팅이 파프리카의 저장 중 품질특성에 미치는 영향 (The effect of aluminum coating to corrugated packaging on quality characteristics of paprika during storage)

  • 파프리카는 우리나라의 대표적인 수출작물로 알려져 있지만 장거리 유통 중 일어나는 품질열화로 인해 상품적 가치가 감소되는 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 농산물 유통 시 주로 사용되는 골판지상자의 내부에 알루미늄을 코팅하여 기능성을 부여한 포장용기를 개발하였으며, 이를 이용하여 파프리카를 포장하여 저장 중 선도유지 및 품질특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 골판지상자 내부에 알루미늄을 코팅함으로써 방습성을 향상시키고 기체투과도를 저하시킴으로써 포장된 파프리카의 펙틴분해효소 활성이 저하됨에 따라 파프리카의 중량변화율과 조직연화 현상이 저해되었고, 산화효소 활성이 감소함으로써 총 페놀 함량 및 항산화 활성이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 알루미늄 코팅한 골판지상자는 파프리카의 상품성 및 저장성을 향상시키는 포장용기로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 생각되며, 알루미늄박의 내수성, 내한성, 보향성, 내오염성 등의 특성을 활용한 추가연구를 통해 국내 농산물의 장거리 유통 및 수출 활성화에 이바지할 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.

게껍질에서 추출한 chitosan 필름의 이용에 관한 연구 2. Chitosan 코팅처리한 토마토의 품질변화 (A Study on the Properties and Utilization of Chitosan Coating 2. Changes in the Quality of Tomatoes by Chitosan Coating)

  • 제조한 chitosan용액을 이용하여 토마토를 코팅처리하여 저장기간에 따른 중량, pectin함량 및 침입강도, 유리당, 유리산 및 pH등의 변화를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. $2\%$ chitosan용액으로 도포한 토마토(도포구)와 도포하지 않은 토마토 (대조구)의 중량감소는 대조구인 경우 저장 9일째 $4.6\%$인 반면 도포구인 경우 18일째 $4.8\%$로 2배 정도의 저장기간이 연장되었다. 저장 18일째 대조구와 도포구의 침입강도와 pectin 함량을 측정한 결과, 대조구인 경우 침입강도는 1.03kg, pectin 함량은 $0.44g\%$이었으며, 도포구는 각각 1.63kg, $0,58g\%$로 도포한 토마토의 침입강도와 pectin 함량이 대조구에 비해 높았다. 저장일수가 경과함에 따라 유리당의 변화는 전체적으로 증가하였으며, 저장 18일째에 대조구와 도포구는 각각 $2.24g\%$, $1.62g\%$로 증가폭은 대조구가 더 크게 나타났다. 또한 유기산과 pH의 변화는 저장 18일째 대조구 $0.15g\%$, 도포구 $0.17g\%$로 도포구가 높게 나타났으며, pH의 경우 대조구가 도포구보다 다소 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 대조구에 비해서 도포구가 저장기간을 연장하는데 효과적인 것으로 생각된다.

  • The engineering ceramic needs the properties of high strength, hardness, corrosion-resistance and heat-resistance in order to withstand thermal shock or applied nonuniform stresses without failure. The densely coated porous ceramics can be used for machine component, electromagnetic component, bio-system component and energy-system component by their high-performances from superior coating properties and light-weight characteristics due to the structure including pore by itself. In this study we controlled the porosity of silica and alumina, $8.2\~25.4\%$ and $23.4\~36.0\%$, respectively, by the control of sintering temperature and starting powder size. We made bilayer structures, consisting of a transparent glass coating layer bonded to a thick substrate of different porous ceramics by a thin layer of epoxy adhesive, facilitated observations of crack initiation and propagation. The elastic modulus mismatch could be controlled using different porous ceramics as the substrate layer. Then we applied 150 N force using WC sphere with a radius of 3.18 mm by Hertzian indentation. As a result, the crack initiation in the coating layer was delayed at lower porosity in the substrate layer, and the damage in the coating layer was relatively smaller at the bilayer structure coated on higher elastic substrate.

  • 최근 에너지 절감과 환경개선 문제가 대두되면서 아크용접에서도 깨끗하고 불량률이 낮은 아크용접기기의 개발을 본격적으로 추진하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 알루미늄 등과 같은 비철금속에 주로 적용되는 MIG 아크용접에서의 용접성능을 개선하고자 한다. 기존의 직류펄스 MIG 아크용접은 박판 금속에 용접을 하는 경우 아크전압이 낮아 단락이 빈번하게 발생하고 용접 불량을 일으킨다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 중첩교류 펄스를 적용한 MIG 아크용접방법을 제안하고 중첩교류펄스의 설계와 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

민들레 추출액 농도에 따른 민들레 코팅쌀밥의 품질에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Cooked Rice According to Different Coating Ratiosof Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) Extracts)

  • 씻어 놓은 쌀에 민들레 추출액을 각각 20, 30, 40 $^{\circ}$Brix의 농도로 하여 쌀에 $5\%$를 첨가하며 10분 동안 5 mL/min의 속도로 분무하여 회전하며 코팅 쌀을 가공하였다. 대조군의 수분함량은 민들레 추출액 코팅 쌀보다 높게 나타났으며, D-40의 수분함량이 가장 낮았다. 색차계 측정값인 L값, a값은 코팅 수준이 증가할수록 낮아졌고 b값은 증가했으며, 밥을 지은 당일과 저장 2일 모두 같은 경향을 보였다 민들레 코팅 수준이 높은 쌀가루에서 DSC 호화 개시 온도는 높게 나타났으나 호화 정점 온도는 낮게 나타났다. 텍스쳐 측정결과 코팅 수준이 높아질수록 경도, 부착성, 탄성, 응집성, 씸힘성, 검성이 증가했고, D-20이 가장 바람직하게 평가되었으며 저장 2일 후도 같은 경향을 보였다.

CBN분말상에 석출형상 제어를 위한 무전해 기능성 니켈합금도금에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Functional Electroless Ni Plating for Controled Morphology on the CBN Powder)

  • In this study, the functional property as a super abrasive material was secured for CBN powder by the electroless Ni-P plating on the surface of the particle. The plating solution has been prepared to control the surface morphology by regulating surfactants and process conditions. The effects of processing parameters on the surface morphology of CBN powder was discussed. The results are summarized as follows; A stable plating tendency was achieved from 1 hour after quantitatively dropping reducing agent. It was observed that more than 50% of the weight gain was obtained by Ni-P coating on the surface of CBN super abrasive powder. The morphology of the Ni-P coating layer is consisted of botryoidal and spiky type and it could be controlled by regulating processing parameters. Superior characteristic in terms of surface morphology was found in the nonionic surfactant XL-80N. It was found that XL-80N considerably decreased surface tension of CBN powder and Ni-P alloy surface then enhance wettability as well as plating rate. Metal coated CBN powder as a raw material of resin bond wheel has been developed through this investigation.

처리조건에 따른 조생온주밀감의 저온저장 특성 (Cold Storage Characteristics of Early Variety of Citrus unshiu Produced in Cheju with Various Treatments)

  • 제주산 궁천조생의 저장조건에 따른 저온저장 특성을 검토하였다. 상온저장에 비해 저온저장 감귤은 저장기간 중 가용성 고형물, 총당, 비타민 C의 변화가 매우 적었으며, 부패율과 중량감소가 각각 10% 이내 수준에서 비교적 신선도를 유지한 상태에서 3월 하순까지 저장이 가능한 것으로 보였다. 또한, 중량감소, 경도의 저하, 당함량의 감소는 저장기간 중에 계속하여 서서히 일어났다. 필름포장과 wax-coating은 중량감소와 외관향상에는 도움을 주었으나 장기간 저장에는 부패율이 증가하였다. 습도조절을 하지 않은 저온저장은 습도조절한 경우와 비교하였을 때 부패율과 중량감소가 컸다. 증산작용으로 인한 껍질수분의 감소에 따라 과육으로부터 수분이동이 발생하여 저장기간 중 과육율이 감소하였으며, 저장 60일 후부터 경도저하가 많이 일어나 조직이 연화됨을 알 수 있었다. 조기수확한 감귤에 비하여 완숙한 감귤이 부패율과 중량감소가 적어 저장 100일간을 기준하여 출하하는 것이 바람직하였다. 상온저장한 감귤에 비해 저온저장한 감귤은 저장 4개월 이후 출고하였을 경우 외관 및 맛에 비교적 우수하였으며, 출고후 필름포장한 감귤의 부패율은 급속히 증가하여 취급에 주의가 필요하였다. 조생온주의 경우 저온에서 장기간 저장이 어려움을 알 수 있어서 저장용 감귤의 특성을 고려하여 저장조건을 설정할 필요가 있었다.

펠로디핀 방출연장형 펠렛의 용출 특성 평가 (In Vitro Dissolution of Felodipine from Extended-Release Pellets)

  • This study aimed to evaluate and develop $Eudragit^{(R)}$-coated pellets based on the dissolution using the paddle method. As coating materials, two types of $Eudragit^{(R)}$ were applied to obtain either sustained release form or fast released form. The dissolution test was carried out in phosphate buffer solution (pH 6.5) at $37^{\circ}C$, 100 rpm. In order to develop a sustained release preparation containing felodipine, a comparative dissolution study was done using commercial product as a control. The dissolution at 30 min of felodipine from $Eudragit^{(R)}$ RS or RL-coated pellets were 0.96% and 99.65, respectively. The weight ratio of $Eudragit^{(R)}$ RL pellets to RS pellets altered the dissolution rate, but did not optimize the dissolution rate. However, the sustained dissolution of felodipine from pellets was optimized by varying the coating ratios of $Eudragit^{(R)}$ RS. It is suggested that the coating ratio of pellets is the main factor which controls dissolution rate. Taken together, $Eudragit^{(R)}$ RS 30D-coated pellets showed the most comparable dissolution rate pattern to commercial product, $Splendil^{(R)}$. This sustained release pellets for oral delivery system of felodipine was simply manufactured, and drug release behavior was highly reproducible.
