This study classified respondents by consumption value and analyzed differences in the purchase behavior of men's suits among consumption value groups. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and analysis of variance were conducted in order to analyze research problems. Factor analysis results showed that male consumption values included safety-oriented value, individuality-oriented value, others-oriented value, pleasure-oriented value, aesthetic-oriented value, low price-oriented value, community-oriented value, utility-oriented value, innovation-oriented value, and self-expression oriented value. The study divided respondents into personal satisfaction pursuit group, beauty & functionality pursuit group, individuality pursuit group, and others-oriented & low cost preference group according to consumption value. There were significant differences in selection criteria for men's suit (product image, physical properties of product, and brand name), selection reasons of brand (fashion & ostentation, individuality, and refinement), store attributes (store environment/salesperson service, reputation/additional service, and product assortment/shopping convenience).

This study investigated the wearing of jackets by down-aging middle-aged women in their 40s to 50s who enjoy wearing attire from ladies' apparel brands that target the 20s to 30s age group. As a method of research, a survey was done on middle-aged women in their 40s and 50s as the target age group. Based on the survey results, comparison and analysis was done on the wearing of jackets as well as preferred extra space and fitness of the clothes, with the distinction between the down-aging group and the non down-aging group. The down-aging middle-aged women purchased jackets mainly at department stores, outlets, discount outlets, and internet shopping malls, and showed the highest frequency of wearing the jackets once or twice a week. For the item "importance in selecting a jacket", both groups chose "the design" as the most important aspect; however, the non down-aging group took "size and fitness" and "activity and comfort" more than the down-aging group. Especially regarding the size of the jackets, size S (55) was the most often worn by the down-aging group, whereas size M (66) was the most often worn by the non down-aging group.
Evaluations of fashion products are often influenced by consumers' knowledge of the country where the products were made in. As globalization progresses, country-of-origin information is widely regarded as a powerful cue on consumers' shopping behavior. The purpose of study was to examine the consumer evaluation of apparel products with uni-national or bi-national country of origin. The effect of price level and gender were also investigated. The empirical research design took 2${\times}$2 factorial design with the country-of-origin coincidence (uni-national vs. bi-national) and price (high vs. low) of gender (male vs. female). Consumers' ethnocentrism and country-of-origin interest were taken into account as covariates in the factorial design. The consumers' evaluation of fashion products was measured in terms of brand attitudes and product attitudes. Data from 514 respondents were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Results of this study affirmed the importance of price information rather than country-of-origin coincidence in brand attitudes and product attitudes. Only for male consumers, interaction effects of price and country-of-origin coincidence had significant eflects on utilitarian attitude. Effects of two covariate variables included in the study were significant for female respondents but not for male respondents.

This study provides basic data that are helpful to prepare a sizing system for dress shirts that improves the wearer's size fitness. The 16 different parts of the dress shirts were measured for 24 pieces of dress shirts with three kinds of size (95, 100 and 105) among the eight different brands on the market. The measurement sizes of the dress shirts analyzed the accuracy of the size information, size classification by size designation, and differences of size by brand. The results of the study were: 1. The size information of dress shirts differed from customer demand. 2. The size increments between size designations differed from each other even though measurement sizes of the dress shirts increased as the size designation increase. 3. Measurement sizes of the dress shirts were different between brands even for dress shirts of the same size designation. It is necessary that manufacturers secure an accurate and standardized sizing system and provide accurate information for the measurement sizes of dress shirts on an online shopping mall.
Denim has been one of the most favored clothing item among young people regardless of regional difference. This study compared the styling of women's denim fashion in two Asian metro-cities, Seoul and Beijing, in order to understand how differ the fashion taste of both cities. Data was collected by taking photos of young women who wear denim clothing at the main streets of downtowns or famous shopping areas of both cities from the July of 2004 till the April of 2005. A total of 524 photos(Seoul 242, and Beijing 282) were put into content analysis. Results showed that there were several similarities and differences in denim styling between two cities in terms of the most widely worn denim items and the coordinate items, and the favored colors, silhouette, details of denim pants and the coordinate items. In Seoul, women favored denim look with little detail, fitted silhouette, and in more formal image. A few denim styles prevailed in each season which reflect current denim fashion trends. Meanwhile a wide variety of denim styles were found at Beijing without dominant denim trends, which means Beijing women put more emphasis on personal expression of their fashion taste instead of just following fashion trends.

The purpose of this study was; to investigate consumers'selection criteria for their trade area when purchasing apparel products; to study whether there is a difference on the importance of the selection criteria; to examine consumers'willingness to visit specific trade area according to the types of apparel products. Four hundred sixty-nine female consumers who lived in the two new towns, Bundang and Ilsan participated in the study by completing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using factor analyses, t-tests, paired t-teats and chi-square analyses. The results indicated that consumer selected trade area based on shop variety within trade areas and range of products, customer services, environment of trade area, price level, entertaining features of the trade area, and the convenience of location and shopping time. In addition, the importance of these criteria varied according to the types of apparel products(i.e. formal wears and casual wears). The types of apparel products had influence on consumers'willingness to visit specific trade area. Consumers preferred the trade areas in the new towns for purchasing formal wears, whereas they frequented the trade areas in Seoul for purchasing casual wears.

The purposes of the study were to identify the online service attributes that contribute to online consumer experiences of satisfaction, service failure, and service recovery and to examine whether differences exist in these attributes between U.S. and Korea. E-A-S-QUAL provided a useful framework for the study. Focus group interviews and web surveys were conducted by utilizing college students in both countries. No significant cultural differences were found in online service dimensions of service satisfaction. Personalization was the most frequently mentioned online service dimension of service satisfaction both in the U.S. and Korea. The findings showed significant cultural differences in terms of online service dimensions responsible for service failure and recovery. For Korean consumers, merchandising was one of the key online service dimensions of service failure, while efficiency was the important service dimension resulting in service failure for the U.S. consumers. In addition, for U.S. consumers, efficiency and personalization were the two most frequently mentioned service dimension for service recovery, while Korean consumers put more importance on the contact and information dimensions for service recovery. This study provided a comprehensive list of online service attributes important to online apparel retailing.

This study examined the evaluation of Mongolian cashmere products by foreign tourists visiting Mongolia, purchase motivation, and purchase intention by nationality as well as analyzed factors that affected purchase intentions. Questionnaires were distributed in Ulaanbaatar from July $25^{th}$ to September $3^{rd}$, 2012. We collected 626 questionnaires and used 616 copies in the final analysis (149 from Koreans, 128 from Japanese, 119 from Russians and 220 from English-speaking countries). Awareness about Mongolian cashmere products and purchase intentions differed significantly by nationality. Purchase motivations were divided into 3 factors-usefulness, mood shift, gifts and souvenir. Evaluation of cashmere products consisted of 5 factors-product excellence, uniqueness, ostentation, economic value and fashionableness. Purchase motivation and evaluation differed significantly by nationality. The purposes of this study were to segment male and female college students on the basis of sneakers' benefits and purchasing behaviors of each market segment. The research method was conducting a survey of 408 male and female college students in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gwangju and Jeollanam-do province. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's α, factor analysis, cluster analysis, χ2 test, ANOVA, and Duncan test. The results were as follows. First, they were segmented into 4 consumer types(positive benefits, economy/ personality, fashion/famous brand pursuit, and an unconcerned group) by the benefit of sneakers. Second, the evaluation criteria of the products were significantly different depending on each sub-group in terms of the type and quality of material, weight, colors, design, brand, elegance, fashion trend, and coordination. In the case of purchasing information, the sources of sneakers showed significant differences according to the sub-group in all factors except for the past shopping experience. All types of stores and styles were significantly different depending on the sub-group. Therefore, the results of this study supported that benefit segmentation in sneakers can be useful as an effective variable for evaluating market segmentation.

Total 700 copies of questionnaires were distributed to home-shoppers more than 19 years old in Seoul and Busan and analyzed 638 copies with the Mixture model using LatentGold Program. The results of the study were as follows: In the segmented market 1, women in forties and housewives with a lowly educated person purchased for the most part from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M and the study named them as the average home shopping purchaser group. In the segmented market 2, men in twenties and students with a highly educated person often purchased with a small amount of money at 6, 7, 12 P.M and the study named them as the high-satisfaction frequent group purchasing a few goods. In the segmented market 3, professional men in forties with a highly educated person rarely purchased with a lot of amount of money from 8 P.M to 11 P.M and the study named them as low-satisfaction rare group purchasing not a few goods. Marketing strategies and discussion were suggested in detail.
