The aim of this study was to suggest appropriate factors for production pattern making of women's clothing. Sample pattern designers and production patterners of 13 women's brands were individually interviewed about pattern making process and factors necessary. The results were as follows: The factors to be considered in pattern making were categorized in three groups. 1. Factors to be considered to achieve the correct use of specific materials: elasticity, shrinkage, lining and interlining 2. Factors to be considered to satisfy the design specifications: silhouette, dart distribution, collar and sleeve, trimming 3. Factors to be considered for better sewing quality: skillfulness of the sewer, sewing methods and sewing equipment. 4. Suggestions were made for appropriate factors. A focus-group-interview in pattern design has been interviewed to verify the suggested factors. The factors were presented as a guide to develop the production pattern. 5. For better usage of the factors, standardization were suggested for making process with necessary factors for jacket, skirt.
The fundamental purpose of this study is whether Show Window Display actually affect on purchase and if it does, how much Show Window Display have influence on the buyer's satisfaction. Show windows are most important at clothing stores. The show open types of domestic clothing stores are usually open-type and semi open-type. Show Window Display types of low and middle prices stores are generally opened, horizontal and storied type and the shape, height, opening type and use of ground floor are different by regional distinct features. Generally Show Window Display are consisted by lights, mannequins and directed props. In buying patterns, an impulse buying has more stronger effect than a scheduled buying, a substituted buying and non-buying. An impulse buying are strongly affected by Design and others are prices. The reason why Show Window Display affecting on purchase is the satisfaction of Design and the strong stimulus to purchase(impulse buying), and then Show window Display used by all components strongly has an effect on it. Factors of purchase desires were Design, price and quality in order and factors of purchase motivations were the motivation of clothing design and the motivation of impulse buying. Thus the effects of Show Window Display and factors of purchase motivations are same. As a result of this study, differentiated Show Window Display methods of clothing stores affect the value of goods, the stimulus of purchase and fostering sales effectiveness. Therefore the instruction of Show Window Display methods are indicated by this study.

This study aims to determine the effects of clothing consumption value, usefulness of clothing and ease of use on the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. A survey was conducted among male and female consumers, and a total of 328 responses were analyzed. Frequency, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis using SPSS WIN Ver.21.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, clothing consumption value was classified into five factors: social value, fashionable value, individual value, practical value and emotional value. Usefulness and ease of use were found two factors and the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel was found one factor. Second, all factors of clothing consumption value had a positive effect on usefulness. The higher the values of the five factors of clothing consumption value, the higher usefulness. Third, fashionable value affected ease of use, but individual value had no positive effect on ease of use. The higher the fashionable value, the higher the ease of use, but, the higher the individual value, the lower the ease of use. Fourth, all factors of clothing consumption value had a positive effect on the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. Therefore, clothing consumption value is important to the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. Moreover, usefulness and ease of use influenced the new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel. This shows that consumers' new product acceptance intention of premium linen apparel increases if the product is they are perceived to be useful and easy to use.

This study aims to find out the influential factors and the relative power of these factors on the clothing purchase decision in internet shopping mall. For this purpose, this study surveyed 500 male and female consumers in their 20's~40's for empirical analysis who have ever purchased clothing through internet shopping malls. Respondents are selected using the convenience sampling through internet survey in August 2011. For statistical analysis descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis are carried out using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results are as follows. First, purchase decision is significantly affected by the expressional/physical properties of the product and product pictures. Second, purchase decision is significantly affected by the usefulness of shopping mall and the importance of purchase. Third, in consumer related factors, product value awareness, reliability of shopping mall, clothing involvement, psychological/economical perceived risks and age affect purchase decision. Fourth, in the regression analysis of the above significant variables on purchase decision, the order of power of these influential factors is expressional/physical properties of product, the importance of purchase, product picture, age and clothing involvement. The results of this study will help internet fashion enterprises to handle the variables of product, shopping mall, and consumer related for enhancing the purchase rate.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the visual effects of clothing design. The specific objectives were: 1) to develop a clothing design evaluation instrument using semantic differential scales for the purpose of measuring visual responses with clothing design: 2) to identify the factor structure of the clothing design evaluation instrument: 3) to test the differences of perception to the clothing design depending on sex and knowledge about clothing design. The major findings were: 1. 37 pairs of descriptors of clothing form were found to include five factor dimensions (total variance:62.1%). Five major factors were found: attractiveness, practicability, elegance, comfort, hardness and softness. 2. for the visual evaluation of silhouettes, there were significant differences. H-line was explained by the simple image. A-line was explained by the comfortable image. V-line was explained by the mature and refined image. X-line was explained by the attractive and femine image and evaluated positively. 3. For the visual evaluation of observers, there were partly significant differences depending on sex and knowledge about clothing design in the observers' responses. But there were greater differences depending on sex than knowledge about clothing design in the observers' responses.

The purpose of this study was to analyze narcissism, clothing expected benefits, and make-up expected benefits of female college students and investigate the relationships of them. To achieve the purposes, a questionnaire was conducted to 322 from September 21 to October 30, 2014. The final data was analyzed with spss 18.0 program. The results were follows. First, It was found that narcissism were classified 4 factors of success-oriented narcissism, others-defensive narcissism, recognition-oriented narcissism, appearance-fascinated narcissism. Second, It was found that clothing expected benefits were classified 6 factors and make-up expected benefits were classified 4 factors. Third, there were significant differences of narcissism by major, clothing purchase cost and cosmetic purchase cost. Forth, there were significant differences of clothing expected benefits and make-up expected benefits by major, clothing purchase cost and cosmetic purchase cost. Fifth, there were significant relations of narcissism, clothing expected benefits, and make-up expected benefits of female college students. Thus, it was found that narcissism were related to clothing expected benefits and make-up expected benefits.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status and motives of buying second-hand clothing among university students and to suggest a plan to activate second-hand clothing transactions. In order to discover the effect of the buying motives on the purchasing of second-hand clothing, 112 university students who have purchased second-hand clothing over the past six months were surveyed and their responses were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that design differentiation, habitual use, and economical factors had a meaningful effect on the purchase of second-hand clothes. Second-hand clothes have a positive environmental perception, but that perception did not impact the purchasing of second-hand clothes. It is necessary to raise the awareness and social movement around second-hand clothing and teach consumers the environmental benefits and sustainability of second-hand clothing. An activation plan for the second-hand clothing market is: 1. Proposes various market subdivisions that meet the characteristics and tastes of consumers that lead to the purchase of used clothing. In this study, two economic factors were found among the buying motives. The first is purchasing second-hand clothing at a very low price, and the second is finding luxurious expensive items or unique values at a lower price. Therefore, it is necessary to find various markets segments that suit consumer tastes by checking consumer characteristics and detailed factors. 2. Nurture second-hand clothing processing brands for the diversification of the second-hand clothing market. 3. There is an urgent need for quality classification, quality assurance, and the standardization of second-hand clothing. This study is meaningful in that it explored the possibility of having a positive effect on activating the second-hand clothing market.
This study investigates how the type of fashion shopping orientation influence the selection criteria, attitudes, and preference of fashion products developed through collaboration. For data collection, the study conducted a survey in the Seoul and Metropolitan areas. The results are as follows: 1. Shopping orientation was identified with seven factors: pursuit of pleasure, trend, planning, uniqueness, famous brand, economic efficiency, and conspicuous consumption. Attitudes toward the collaborated of fashion products could be classified into two factors of reasonable ostentation and aesthetic value orientation. 2. The shopping orientation of the pursuit of trend is related to reasonable ostentation; in addition, the shopping orientation for the pursuit of uniqueness and economy is positively associated with an aesthetic value orientation. 3. The factors of fashion pursuit had a great positive effect on their preference for collaboration type among fashion brands and the factors of uniqueness and pleasure pursuit had a positive effect on the preference for collaboration type with fashion designers and artists. This showed that the pleasure pursuit factor had a positive effect on the collaboration type preference for celebrities. Fashion companies may be able to establish effective merchandising and marketing strategies that fit the characteristics and types of fashion collaboration.
This study is designed to identify the dimensions of clothing shopping motives and clothing involvements which influence consumers' store choice behaviors and to find out what variables have a direct influence on the attitudes of customers toward stores. The empirical research was made through the survey on 300 female and male shoppers who purchased clothing. The major results of this study are as follows : 1. The dimension of clothing shopping motives is composed of leisure-related shopping motive, products-related shopping motive, and economy-related shopping motive. And the dimension of clothing involvement consists of pleasure involvement factor, fashion involvement factor, and symbol involvement factor. 2. The dimension of the store choice criteria is composed of such five factors as promotion, products, prices/salespersons, service, and location. 3. There is a positive correlation of the products-related shopping factor and the leisure-related shopping motive only. And the store choice criteria have a positive correlation with all the factors of clothing involvement. 4. The high-shopping-motive group turns out to pay more importance to such factors as products and location than the low-shopping-motive group. 5. The variables which have influences on the attitudes of customers toward stores tum out to be such factors as fashion involvement, promotion in the store choice criteria, and gender.
This study aims at providing basic data for product planning to design smart clothing and to develop applications, focusing on consumers by satisfying their emotions through analyzing emotional factors on smart clothing, comparing emotional differences between conventional clothing and it, reviewing changes of consumers' emotion by integrating the product and clothing and researching differences of preference and purchase intention between smart clothing and traditional one. As the results of the study, emotional factors for smart clothing were analyzed with total 6 including 'technical', 'comfort', 'aesthetic', 'modern', 'fun' and 'multiple' factors. Among them, except for 'comport', five emotional factors showed emotional factors between conventional sport-casual clothing and smart clothing. That is, emotional factors of 'technical', 'aesthetic', 'modern', 'fun' and 'multiple' were emphasized more in smart clothing than conventional ones, indicating that they should be considered in planning products of smart clothing. Though there was no significant difference of preference between smart clothing and conventional clothing, in case of comparison of averages, that of smart clothing was a little higher. For purchase intention, smart clothing was lower than the conventional clothing. So preference seems to be not directly related to consumers' immediate purchase. To make consumers' interests and preference to result in purchase, it is necessary to develop smart clothing with more various applications and to prepare commercializing strategies. As the results of the analysis on free-descriptive questionnaire survey, consumers were interested in development of smart clothing to help diet with functions including energy harvesting from body motion, calorification and perspiration, measurement of motion and calory consumption as well as health-care type smart clothing to measure heartbeat and ECG. Reflecting these requirements from the consumers, they should be utilized as guidance to develop smart clothing in the future.
